if we can arrange that and katie will see if she can arrange better weather for us. >> i wish i had power to wave the magic weather wand to give you exactly what you want. i wish i could do that because trust me i'm suffering as much as you are in the heat but it hasn't been as humid. still hot though. that will continue to be the theme here today. generally speaking we will call it a partly sunny day for most of you but we are seeing a few blips on the radar especially to the south and west of philadelphia take a quick peak, our last 45 minute loop here and one little very isolate pocket of showers continues to push through new castle county, now in salem county so depending where you are you have to flip the windshield wipers hitting the road here or find a couple damp sidewalks. this isn't a widespread concern and certainly more than anything we can expect a dry day. seventy-eight is our current temperature at philly international. we are at 59 degrees here earlier in the broadcast i was kind of suspect of that, that number, but it is accurate, it is 59 degrees, cooler in the mountains right now.

senator bernie sanders is expect over at the pennsylvania delegates. so a lot of it is happening across the city of fail today on day three of the democratic national convention. take a look at this video, no doubt delegates are still riding high off of yesterday's activity. former president bill clinton made a case for his wife last night. he now find himself in the unique role of both political realm of former command inner chief. his wife hillary clinton was officially nominated. that means clinton is first woman nominated by president by a major american political party. marking the occasion also on stage during his historic night was a number of women. that included a group called mothers of the movement. their sons and daughters died in racially charged incident across the country, trayvon martin's mother was one of those women. they urged vote tours support clinton but she is candidate who cares about racial injustice. also speaking last night the first woman to be secretary of

the fact we have a system nearby. we have a couple of cloud skewing those colors. the absolutely stunning, flaming red and orange going on there for us, and this is essentially what we will fine throughout the day here. we have sunshine, cloud and possibility of the shower or storm which we will get to but we want to start off by taking you to our pictures, also recording, some beautiful cloud and blue sky that is coming in this morning as the sun does come up just before the sun came up eileen sent this one in. it is a pretty start to the day. still darkness on the shot but again, some of that blue sky filtered through the skies. lets go next back to the maps here from the eyewitness weather watchers, we are finding essentially the same story, most of the region is a little warmer in middletown it is 78, where jason is reporting. one off to the northeast where john's at 74. seeing more clouds then anything. we have high humidity. seventy-two coming in from peter. he is seeing more clear skies. further north the clearer it

generally is because you are away from this, and you can see frontal boundary, that has sort of essentially stalled itself out off to the south but it is still close enough, we have a couple isolated showers across portions of the i-95 corridor in new castle county and northern delaware bay into salem and portions of cumberland county. there is relief in sight, my friend. we will break this 90-degree plus spell, we will still hit it today and tomorrow, and we could see a shower or thunderstorm. but as this front, it gets hung up essentially on friday most widespread showers and thunderstorms. it looks like wetes day of the next several. we will only be in the 80's for a change, high 80's but it is closer to seasonal. that is our pattern from that point on. so seven day forecast, again friday looking the wetest, saturday or sunday that classic pop up shower or thunderstorm variety is still possible but we will call for some sunshine and highs where they should be in the mid to upper 80's. meisha, back over to you. >> we are ready for anything,

katie, bring it on mother nature, just bring it on. >> this is what we are looking at a closure of i-95 at broad street ramps closed here northbound and southbound, northbound complete thely closed. southbound we have access to the navy yard but completely closed between 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. we have schuylkill eastbound ramp to packer also closed same time frame 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. we are looking okay. this checkpoint was very heavy yesterday, and also, looking heavy right the now. we are not even in the 6:00 o'clock hour. i-95 north near platt bridge. no vehicles over five tons between vine and platt bridge at these checkpoints. we have also lost left lane. the another checkpoint 95 south at the vine but take a look we are starting to see delays at that checkpoint 95 south at the vine, already this morning, and it is also here i-95 north near the platt bridge. this is heavy. give yourself some extra time to avoid. obviously you want to if you cannot avoid it. give yourself extra 30 minutes
