president and that is why i'm proud to stand here and say that i'm with her. >> reporter: wilmington native sarah mcbride became first openly transgendered person to speak at a major convention. she's national press secretary for human rights campaign and she told us yesterday, that her history making address was written on behalf of the millions, of lb gt people who deserve to have their voices heard. >> now many of the protesters arrested last night are out of the federal custody tonight. >> "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden joins us live outside the courthouse in center city, with more on that , joe. >> reporter: jessica and ukee five people were released from federal custody. what they have told us according to federal prosecutors last night was both highly visible but when we chatted with them on the way out of federal court just an hour ago, they really didn't want any of the attention. just an hour ago five protesters who scaled a

security fence outside a wells fargo center were released from federal prison among them megan monk from washington state. seven total are facing a single federal count of breaching the secured federal perimeter. they were hesitant in talking with us. what do you think of this whole process. >> you know, i'm still in it, so i'm not much thinking as i am processing emotionally what actually is happening. >> reporter: woman with megan caught her off from saying anything more. we were there as protesters barreled through a fence ringing an expansive area around the wells fargo on wednesday night. one man identified as jeremy graybar had three throwing knives on him. prosecutors characterized him as a threat to national security. >> which is an outrage, he ace loud to care knives on his person. he carries those knives nerd to assist in his applying his medical knowledge and know how to those who are injured, he

is not there to threaten anyone. >> reporter: civil rights attorneys have been critical of the secret service and perimeter fence saying it is a moving target that stand in the way of free speech. the truth is that this moving of the perimeters, moving of the goal line has served purpose of stepping on peoples speech. that is an issue in the case. >> reporter: now, bail for all of the defendants was set at $10,000, there are hearings tomorrow afternoon and then on monday, for the two remaining defendants in custody. civil rights attorneys hope that all of the charges in these matters are drop. reporting live from center city, joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you so much. >> we have some more traffic issues due to the dnc. >> let's toss to it meisha johnson for a look at the roads. >> good evening. we have been dealing with this all week long and is there light at the end of the tunnel we are looking at a checkpoint still looking busy. ninety-five south at the vine where this checkpoint is. this is i-95 south at girard.

checkpoint eastbound vine at 95, and expect slow downs there but heaviest checkpoints 95 at platt bridge moving in the northbound direction you can see we have lost that left lane looking very slow there and still thinking about heading outside, overall though what we can expect in terms of the closure 95 at broad street ramps north and southbound except for navy yard moving in the southbound direction moving between 2:00 p.m. and schuylkill eastbound ramp to person is closed between that same time frame. the good news is these closures are lifting either midday tomorrow, or in the evening especially in the closures around wells fargo center, those are lifting tomorrow night. what you can expect in the world of the travel, by air, several dnc departures tomorrow, make sure to check your schedules on line you will than dealing with some delays and also this 95 alternate platt bridge to 26th to the schuylkill to the vine, ramps on i-95 that is moving in the northbound direction. ukee and jessica it has been a busy week and still looking busy outside right now.

there is a lot of anger. i ran as a candidate and i was frankly one of the things i discover which i had not anticipated just the patients of the anger out there. a lot of us want to pull in the angry lane and throw the keys outs the window but anger and fear never built a great country. we need to do common sense things that make college more affordable, make wages go up and down and that is what hillary clinton can do. >> there are some stories you might take over the dnc, any reaction to that. >> would i do anything that the party and secretary clinton asks of me in this campaign. i'm not the only person that could company a good job of that but what i'm focused on is making sure i'm as effective surrogate as i can be. i have competed against hillary clinton. i have work with her. she's one tough person. she can do this tough job. and i'm excited to go home to maryland and come back to pennsylvania as often as i can by the way compliments to the people of philadelphia and to

dnc. lets talk eagles foot the ball , things are exciting with the bird, first practice today and don, i understand weather had guys moving inside today. >> yeah, yeah the weather wreak havoc here on the schedule. they were supposed to start practice at 3:00 p.m. and that happened but instead of being outside they moved 90 players inside this little tiny bubble here. they have practiced for an hour and a half. excitement level was high because remember they have a new head coach in doug pederson. they were seven-9a season ago but they are fired up, ready to get rolling. after practice we have talk to sam bradford. >> it feels good. obviously the speed picks up. that is first thing you notice it was nice to come in get work during rocky camp and knock off rustt from the summer break but that first play today with the vets out there, the speed of the game is back. you know, it is an exciting time. it is time to get work donna begins each other and good to

afternoon, still some pretty dangerous storms moving through and risk for flash flooding through this evening and tonight and tomorrow morning as well. this is in the last of it. there is more rain off to the west which has yet to come through. that will happen overnight and through early hours friday morning. you will wake up to more wet weather tomorrow and slow moving commute. strongest storms off to the south as we had mentioned earlier that would be biggest threat for severe weather. one strong storm over delaware bay has its site set on cape may county where we have a severe thunderstorm warning until 7:15 tonight. that does include wildwoods, stone harbor, avalon right through cape may, cape may point, villas and places like that. severe thunderstorm watch has been cancelled for all southeastern pennsylvania, and portions of central new jersey it does remain in effect for south jersey and delaware. areas shaded in yellow until midnight but entire region under a flash flood watch that does include lehigh valley and poconos, as it looks like that

heaviest rain will be tomorrow morning. so your flood threat for tonight period of heavier rain with strong embedded thunderstorms in the rain as it moves from the west total one to three plus inches and that can come in a short period of time, ponding poor drainage flooding, turn around don't drawn, do not drive through flooded roads. it will take a foot of water to lift a car or truck and that is not much in the poor drainage area. this pattern will continue through monday as humid air gets pulled up the eastern seaboard slow moving front advances on the region and we will have showers and storms blossoming at times tonight and tomorrow morning again saturday afternoon into sunday and probably gannon monday. overnight pockets of heavy rain, thunderstorms, 75 degrees. friday mainly rain and we could clear it out in the afternoon, cooler but still very humid at 86 degrees. your seven day forecast keeps it unsettled this weekend, showers and storms saturday afternoon, scattered storms on sunday and stray one on monday
