pattern comes to an end when we get the drop in the humidity, i'll show you that in the seven day coming up. >> looking forward to it, thanks, justin. new morning, police involved shooting under investigation, in cumberland county new jersey. state police were called after midnight to a home on center ton road in bridgeton. investigators tell us state police exchange gunfire with the suspect, shooting the suspect. suspect was taken to the hospital this morning. no details on their condition or what led to the shooting. we do know that no troopers were hurt. also, overnight, police are investigating a double shooting in philadelphia's mantua neighborhood. investigators tell us a man and woman were both shot near 38th and wallace street around 11:00 last night. the 25 year old man was shot multiple times and is in critical condition. woman in her 50's suffered a graze wound in her left leg, stable, no details on shooter at this time. >> police trying to figure out how a man fell down a sewer, happened near ninth and pike streets, fire crews rescued the man, returning him to temple university hospital.

the details now on the daring rescue. >> reporter: at about 6:00 p.m., the fire department ghana search and rescue mission at ninth and pike in hunting park. after a man was found trapped in a 18-inch sewer pipe. >> somehow he wounds up in the sewer hole. whether or not someone removed it, or he was, you know, we don't know exactly how he wounds up there. >> the investigation into how the man ended up in the sewer came seconds in a desperate attempt into saving his life. pgw crews were on the scene with maps of their underground system, assisting in the search. but after more than an hour and a half, on very hot day, neighbors watching grew more and more concerned. >> there to has been couple of hours, i was really hoping for the bells, because he had been down therefore such a long time, we seen them running in different holes to see if they could find him. but if they found him alive -- >> outburst of applause after the man trapped 10 feet underground lawn -- lodged in

rehab in center city. it happened in the building parking garage on race street. thirty-eight year old woman crashed the vehicle into the reception area sliding glass doors, three women and two men were taken to hahnemann university hospital. one of the men in serious condition, the others are in stable condition. no word though on what caused the crash. and the search is underway for a police impersonator in montgomery county. springfield township police say this unmark van was flashing lights stopped the car tuesday night near church and brent roads in orland. police ran the license plate and the van came back registered to charles grossman of whitemarsh township. investigators say he's full time lock smith, part time officer with the spca, and police cacology him person of interest. >> when we have vehicles driving around with emergency lights, then similar to a police vehicle, that's a concern for us. that's a concern for all. >> police have not identified the victim of the phony traffic stop. they do though say they want to hear from anyone else who might and victim.

just north and west up in doylestown, we go to the dew points, they're running hi, feel the difference in the humidity, on the increase. we're in the low 70s for the dew point in some spots, just indicates very humid tropical-like air mass, in place, and that's going to help fuel some heavy rain once again, later on today. light rain over the poconos, should exit the region over the next half hour to hour. then we will dry for the next few hours, but once we get the sun heating things up little bit, we start to see some more heavier showers and storms developing. key word today, scattered. so not everybody sees it. mainly in the afternoon at night. best chance to see wet weather but any showers and storms that develop watch out for the heavy rain potential. eighty-six for the high for philadelphia, lower 80s at the shore, i think the shore stays dry for much of the day, really not until the nighttime hours we see the storms, there upper 70s in the poconos of the still rain chances as we head all the way into next week. i'll let you know when the humidity drops when i show you the seven day coming up in a few minutes, rahel, back to

you. >> justin, thank you. this morning repairs crews on the scene after water main break on the roosevelt boulevard. anita o just arrived there, joins us with details, i hear that this water main break actually already affecting traffic. >> it is affecting traffic. police have block off roosevelt boulevard, for several blocks, starting at bustleton avenue. take a look here, you can see that water started gushing out after this water main break earlier this morning. this is right by the dunkin' donuts on the corner of roosevelt boulevard, and levick street. workers inside tell me that they haven't had hot water for about the past hour, and there is also very low water pressure right now, as crews work to repair this, and it is not yet clear what type of main this was, but we did see this water trail down for several blocks, along roosevelt boulevard. again, the outer northbound lanes here on roosevelt boulevard remain blocked at this time. so keep that in mind, if you are headed out this way this morning. live here in northeast

philadelphia, anita o, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", back to you. >> well, six state workers in michigan fashion g charges in connection to the water crisis in flint. prosecutors say some of the workers tried to cover up or down play the high levels of lead, found in flint resident who drink the city water. the water became contaminated in 2014, when the city started pulling drinking water from the flint river, to save money. >> and the water back on, remains in effect for about two thirds of the city. those who live west of the cooper river, are being urged to boil their water, the advisories due to water main break that happened thursday, near river and delaire roads in pennsauken. the watt their goes into your mouth, into your body, at least for the next 24 hours, strongly recommend you do not use the pipe water. >> and state mandated water quality tests will continue.

>> and an update on badly malnourished horse we first told but in january, video of clarissa, just after rescued, from a veterinarian's farm, such poor conditions, she could barely stand, well, take a look at clarissa now, she has been nursed back to health looking very beautiful there. nursed back to health by the last chance rescue in quakertown and so happy to report she was just adopted friday. now in perfect health and doing great. what a happy ending. eighty-seven year old new jersey woman survived after being stranded in her car for two days with no phone, no food, and only rain water to drink. she said she was only hours from her death when national guards man showed up. tony, from sister station cbs2 in new york, spoke with the woman who was saved by soldiers. >> reporter: janet haskins didn't think she would be alive today. >> i had resolved the fact that i was going to die. >> reporter: saturday while driving from little egg harbor to baltimore she somehow got stuck on a remote trail in the woods, used by tanks at joint

base mcguire-dix lakehurst. >> i have no idea how i ended up there. i wasn't really concerned because i thought somebody will find me and help me to get out. >> haskins was traveling with her cat, she had no food or water and her smart phone was dead. two days passed, and no one came. >> it was so hot, it was real a nightmare. >> she grew dehydrated and started hallucinating. >> i would get out of the car, i thought i saw a car coming and i thought i would blow the horn, and i would wave, and holler. and then i realize there wasn't anything there. and i knew that was a bad sign. we had an effi rainstorm monday morning, and i had some bowls that i had brought to feed my cat. and i set those out on the hood. and i got water in those, so i drank those, that's the only water i had. i was resigned to the fact by monday that i wasn't going to get out. and right after that was when the men came. >> the men, four army national

guards men, from massachusetts, on a training mission, at the military base. they stumble upon haskins' car, gave her water and oxygen, and got her help. >> i passed out in the car, i know, and i came to, and there were these men faces. it was just the best thing that ever happened. we had so much to be grateful to them for. and i'm convince philadelphia they hadn't found me i wouldn't be here today. >> haskins recovering from dehydration, unfortunately during the ordeal her cat escaped from the car and hasn't yet been found. she said waking up and seeing those soldiers was the best feeling of her life. the national guard soldiers will be honored saturday at their home base near boston. job well done. >> "eyewitness news" at a welcome home ceremony for veterans in bucks county. this is at the american legion post 148 in langhorne, the crew the heroes welcome paid tribute to veterans thanking them for their service to our country. >> we welcome home our troops, we honor our veterans.

philadelphia, at phil's, in chesterfield, ed connor, 71, couple of cooler spots, perkasie, newark, delaware, upper 60s at john jenkins' house, dolores lee cup earn 60s, pete nerve williamstown, 70, he's got some fog. kenneth martin in willingboro at 74, in allentown, julia coming in at 72. little sunshine around this morning, here is a shot from lynn in cherry hill. sunshine mixed with some high clouds over us right now, but we will see more clouds developing, later this morning, into the afternoon. clear at the moment, over philadelphia, right now. with the sun up, then out in earlier this morning, we did have some fog, mixed in, so tough to see some sunshine, and down south interior south jersey some of the fog we're dealing with around williamstown. rehoboth beach, clear skies at the moment as women. a lot of sunshine to kick off your morning temperatures there, generally going to be into the low 80s this afternoon, so good start to the beach day in delaware, and in new jersey. i think most of the day stays dry along the coast, so i'm

thinking you need to cancel the beach plans. does show left over rain showers across the poconos at this hour, continues to diminish, then in nice little break, depending on where you are, you are seeing some sunshine specially around philadelphia and the areas south and east but more clouds and showers building to the south and west. so we're sit in the warm humid air mass over the mid-atlantic, will help fuel potential heavy rain once again later this afternoon into tonight. dew point temperatures running high. once they're in the 70s, that's when it really feels uncomfortable. that's what we're dealing with through the afternoon as we go into tonight, same deal. even little higher tomorrow. we could be dealing with dew point in the mid 70s. when you want to stay indoors in the air-conditioning, but at least we're not dealing with heat indexes over 100 degrees because air temperatures are much cooler. stowe does feel oppressive, with the humidity today, tomorrow, even into monday, finally on tuesday, still have to get some drier air back in here, pushes out the humidity, feels little better. shore forecast today, again, maybe that late day shower or storm, 83 degrees, most of the day should stay dry tomorrow.

better chance for some scattered showers and storms into the afternoon, 83 again, monday still wet weather around, stays humid, highs 85 degrees. now, the reason for the unsettled stretch, old frontal boundary hanging out across the mid-atlantic for the next 48 to 72 hours. so that's going to be the focus for some showers and storms each afternoon. mostly daytime heating and temperatures holding generally in the mid maybe even upper 80s in the warm spots. not much happening through the morning, but this afternoon, we start to see few showers popping up, not everybody sees it, looks like the best chance is going to be up toward the lehigh valley and poconos, the threat continues tonight, even into south jersey and delaware, anywhere has the risk to see heavy rain and then tomorrow afternoon kind of the same deal. we see more showers and storms pop up, but this actually shows little less chance coming in tomorrow. so again, same deal. with showers moving on through, through the overnight, into tomorrow, and even monday, still showing some left over showers, finally tuesday, drying it out. eighty-six for the high today,
