but all 300 passengers, and crew, escaped without injury. correspondent jonathan big lot i reports. >> reporter: the emirates air nine flight from india came to fiery stop on the airway, people looked on in horror from the dubai airport. plane came down on its belly. video posted on line shows the boeing 777 errupting into a massive fireball, blowing off one of the wings. firefighters, hosed down the smoldering fuselage, most of the top melted away. amazingly all 300 people on board, including six americans, were quickly and safely evacuated and about a minute. >> i think something burning, the smoke was coming inside. they evacuated. >> some passenger report the pilot made announcement that he needed to make an emergency landing because of landing gear problem. airport officials say there

were strong winds and blowing dust as the plane approached the runway. the exact cause of the crash landing is still under investigation. john cbs-3, "eyewitness news". developing this noon, authorities say a washington dc transit police officer is charged in an fbi sting, with attempting to support the islamic state group. officials say 36 year old nicholas young, bought nearly $250 in gift cards, and he intended for the islamic state to use, to purchase global apps to facilitate communication, young actually gave the gift cards to an undercover fbi source. >> in other news, a crash seriously injured a driver and back up traffic for miles on i-95 in philadelphia. this is a scene from chopper three, it all happened just before 9:30 this morning on the southbound side near the allegheny avenue exit. we're told the injured victim was trapped inside his suv for about 20 minute, before rescue crews could get him out. only one lane was getting by

prison release just outside of scranton. he was released on bail yesterday. the pen supreme court supreme court granted him a new trial. the six a year old was the nation's first roman catholic church official to be convicted for conspiring to protect pedifile priests within the archdioces. philadelphia's district attorney is vowing to re-try lynn over his handling of child sex abuse complaints. we're getting our first look at the suspect in assault in olney last month. police just released this image from a playground, at a and champ chose streets on july 12th. investigators say the suspect chased a 11 year old boy, pulled a hand gun, and forced the young boy to remove his clothes. the suspect punched him and then took off. if you recognize anything about this suspect, call police. philadelphia police say a shooting in cobbs creek overnight may have started with an argument over a card or dice game. >> police were called to the 100 block of north 54th street around 11:00 p.m. for report

of gunshot. investigators say they found blood and several shell casings on the street. then, they got report, police suspect there might be her to than one shooter because they say the shell casings were of two separate calibers. >> we're getting information from the officers that often individuals are out here gambling, playing cards, so the motive for this shooting may be related to a dice game, or a card game. >> the victim is at penn presbyterian medical center in stable condition. police haven't released a suspect description yet. a philadelphia police officer is being called a hero after he pulled a driver out of a car just in the nick of time in the city's logan section. that car crashed just after midnight at broad and wyoming. an officer from the 39th district was driving by and noticed the driver was slumped over the wheel. investigators say as soon as the officer pulled the driver out of the car it burst into

flames, that driver is in stable condition. >> turning now to campaign 2016, democratic presidential nominee, hillary clinton, will talk about her plans for stronger economy when she rallies with supporters in the denver area later today. >> on the republican side, donald trump is cam plane in florida this afternoon, but he's still getting a lot of heat from members of his own party, about his feud with a gold star family. correspondent craig boswell explains how trump is responding to the republican establishments criticism. >> reporter: donald trump is causing tension within the republican establishment with his refusal to endorse house speaker paul ryan and senators kelly, and john mccain, in their primary races. >> and i've never been a big fan of john mccain. and i just hate the way our veterans have been treated by john, and other people. >> all three criticized trump recently for his attack on the family of us army captain kahn killed in combat. trump refuses to apologize.

go. talking about dew point temperatures for the past few weeks. this is very low for august. seeing 50's, to low 60s, indicating very dry air mass, the forecast with our dew points, pretty much stays the same. actually gets little better tonight into tomorrow. seeing a lot of 50's showing up indicating low humidity all across the delaware valley. and the reason why it is high pressure, which is parked over new england right now is providing that northeasterly wind flow. that's little bit of cooler flow. that's why our temperatures are below average, same deal tomorrow, still going to be in the mid 80s, in a lot of spots. friday we start to change up just little bit. still going to be nice, sunny, upper 80s, but little more humidity around. nothing too bad. saturday that's going to be the day where it is hot, humid, typical august day, watch out for scattered shower, storm, coming in during the afternoon, looks like we do reach around 90 degrees over a lot of locations, then we put end to the 90s again, another cooler air mass, which i'll show you in the seven day. tropics starting to get little active. usually see this in early august. the peak is not until early september. so down in the southern
