philly.com. dubai's main airport is opened again after a jet liner crashed and burned, shut down traffic for several hours, video shows crash landing of the em rate flight and that fiery aftermath. the emirates airlines flight from indian came to a stop on the runway as people inside dubai international airport looked on in horror. the plane, came down on its belly, video posted on line shows boeing 777, erupt nothing to a massive fireball. blowing off, one of the wings. thick black smoke billows from the aircraft, as it sits on the runway. fire fighters hosed down the smolders fuel age, most of the stop melt add away. the one fire fighter was killed but a amazingly all 300 people on board, including six americans were quickly and safely evacuated in about one minute.

swimming pools. health reporter stephanie stahl is here with more on the alarming details. >> reporter: this just came out, very alarming. 350 children under five drowned in pools each year nationwide, majority occur in june, july, and august and mostly in backyard pools. pennsylvania was among the deadliest states in the u.s. for child drowningness july, were four of the state's six drownings in 2016, and child was very quickly and may not splash or maybe any noise. >> it can go under in under ten seconds. three times and they are town. it is important to keep an eye on everyone. >> reporter: child can drawn in the time it takes to answer a phone, 77 percent of the children who drawn were missing from sight for five minutes, or less. >> it is important to get their message out, that water is dangerous for kid and they need to be watched very carefully. >> reporter: 2600 children are treated in hospital emergency departments each year for near

drowning incident, some had less permanent brain damage. if a child goes under even briefly get them check out because dry drowning can occur hours later. >> it can appear very healthy, very safe at the time but you want to get them check out. you can never be too careful where water is concerned. >> reporter: because of the increase in drownings u.s. consumer products safety commission is reminding pennsylvania parents about pool safety basics, including, never leave a child unintended in the pool or spa, teach them to swim and know how to perform cpr. pool and spa drains can pose another potential danger to children. they can get entrapped, that is, by suction. it is important to make sure that there are safe during covers and always have fences around pools. but this entrapment is a new danger that they are finding with kid. >> so many things, keeping your eye on them at all times. >> jacuzzis as well, i heard that.

>> yes. >> thanks, stephanie appreciate it. new twist in jerry sandusky's fight for a new trial. former penn state assistant coach could take the stand for the first time. judge ruled that sandusky's lawyer can file the paper would to let him testify. sandusky is currently serving a 30 to 60 year sentence for sexually abusing ten boys but a judge agreed to hold hearings to see if he deserves a new trial. sandusky did not testify in his original trial, and he is expect back in court next friday. new jersey senate president is accusing the state's largest teachers union of threatening to withhold political contributions in exchange for a vote on requiring quarterly pension payments. democrat steve sweeney says leaders of the new jersey education association called democratic county chairman and threatened to withhold political contributions, unless the senate passes a proposed amendment ramping up pension payments by the state. sweeney has called on the u.s. attorney and new jersey attorney general to investigate the union's actions.
