election and cancer moon shot task force and what is next for him. we begin with freak elevator accident inside the criminal justice center. i'm ukee washington. >> i'm natasha brown in for jessica dean tonight. two people were hurt including a sheriff officer. live outside hahnemann university hospital where that sergeant is currently in critical condition. greg. >> that's exactly right. natasha, we heard from the sheriff office they tell us sergeant paul owe wes got out of surgery an hour ago. that was successful. those his injuries are extensive. he has trauma to his head, his back broken in three different places and injuries to his pelvis, ribs and internal blee bleeding in chest. as you can imagine, because of all of this-, doctors here at hahnemann university hospital have put him in induced coma. that will last for a few days. this happening afterle theel

vairter he was in malfunctioned and shot him upwards through the ceiling a confusing scene this morning inside busy criminal justice center. >> we heard a bang and then some people felt shake. >> investigators say a major malfunction sent elevator on the 11 floor shooting upwards into the penthouse level crashing through the ceiling of the shaft and raining down debris on second elevator in the basement. >> i mean it hit really, really hard. >> back up. >> 48-year-old sergeant paul owens with the sheriff department was inside that speeding elevator only used by staff, judges, jurors and inmates. >> he was actually doing his job as supervisor that area. >> tonight, sheriff williams says the 27 year veteran of the sfors in critical condition at hahnemann hospital. >> he's in pretty bad shape. several broken bones in his back. >> clerk beverly smith inside the second car which was hit

philadelphia. clinton gained ground, double digit lead over donald trump in pennsylvania. that's according to new franklin and marshall college poll. clinton leads trump 49 to 3% among likely voters. her lead is wider among all registered voters. meantime donald trump spend the day on the campaign trail in maine after bouncing controversy to controversy this week. he headed advice of many republicans focusing rhetoric on hillary clinton and did address the fact his running mate, mike pence endorsed paul ryan. but he did not. >> he said but i like him he's a friend of mind wow mindfy endorse him i said i will not mind if you say no, i said mike if you like him do it 100% and he endorsed him. >> democratic nominee hillary clinton was on the campaign trail in nevada today. that is battle ground state. she toured electric dmp las vegas and then hit trump on business record saying he has a

want to get outside. temperatures in the 60s. enjoy that because tomorrow night lows will stay in the mid 70s. time lapse from today shows clear blue sky we woke up to. beautiful start to morning. you can see a few puffy cumulous clouds drifting in. mid afternoon. right now 71 degrees. feeling nice for this time of evening. and storm scan three shows clear skies over the northeast. there's a front moving west and this system impacts us saturda saturday. still a lot of real estate twent front and where we are now. eventually it will get here and out ahead of it humidity will definitely ramp up. in the meantime comfy night 68 in atlantic city and 72 city of philadelphia now. it's a warm 75 allentown and dew point is comfy 61. that puts us on the not bad range of comfort index. by the weekend, by saturday at least, we'll see due points to mid 70s right back to insufferable.

at least it's only for one day. let's time it out. we'll take you through tonight. clear skies. tomorrow starts with few more clouds here and there. stays dry through the day. mostly sunny day. nice friday. saturday starts with a few clouds. hazy, hot, humid and as we head into the afternoon, scattered showers and storms along this front. the latest run of this particular model doesn't have much popping up. you saw one or two storms around 1 or 2:00. best chance for storms will be between 2 and 7 p.m. across the area saturday. again, not a washout. and i would not cancel plans. but it will be a steam badge out there and not a ton of sunshine either. saturday morning, hazy, humid, saturday afternoon is when we'll have to dodge scattered and locally strong storms. sunday is better weekend day across the board to get outsid outside. and sunshine it will be just a beautiful day. let's take a peek at overnight forecast. cool, comfy. 68 the low. tomorrow sunny, more humid, we'll flip flop numbers 86 to the high.
