particular cell that was positioned over lehigh northampton and bucks county now continuing to move southeast over bucks county bringing heavy rainfall and a couple of bolts of lightning doylestown buckingham stretching southeast. not moving very quickly only moving about 25 to 30 miles per hour. we have this strengthening cell over pottstown, heavy rainfall, the lightning activity is starting to pick up so you do want to move out of the way of this cell again moving off to the south and east and all these will trend to continue to move their way towards the i-95 corridor as we head into the next couple of hours. i know some of you seeing just sunshine right now but keep an eye to the sky especially over the next about three hours. scattered storms developing fairly low moving only moving with forward pace of about 25 to 30 miles per hour. a few could indeed be strong to severe. the main threats going to be some gusty winds and heavy rainfall but once we start to lose the heating of the day that storm threat is really going to diminish very quickly so we have about until about 9 o'clock to really keep an eye to the sky. we'll talk more about these

thunderstorms and then that humidity is out of here for sunday and i'll have the good news with your full forecast coming up. >> the whole wave everybody fell down. everybody was crushed. it was horrible. >> a concert accident sends dozens of people to the hospital after a railing gives way at camden's bb and t pavilion. this all happened last night during a rap show snoop dawn whiz khalifa were on stage. today we spoke way woman who says she was there and tried to help some of the people that were caught up in the chaos. >> my friend's foot got stuck under the gate and i was trying get him out and then i was trying to get this other girl up and when i was pulling her up, bone of her knee was sticking out of her -- it was horrible. >> well, tonight the bb and t pavilion is set to host a i love the 90's show with salt and pepa but as anita oh shows us some are concerned about safety at the venue especially after last night's accident.

>> reporter: it was supposed to be a concert top remember. >> ♪ >> reporter: and friday night's whiz khalifa and snoop dogg concert likely won't be forgotten any time soon. >> i saw one -- one guy who was touching his face on all of this part of the head was opened. >> reporter: around 10:30 friday night chaos erupted at the popular camden waterfront bb and t pavilion all of it caught on cell phone video. >> one moment a lot of people fall down. >> reporter: during the concert a 3-foot railing collapsed sending fans tumbling to the ground. officials say several hospitals including cooper university and lourdes treated dozens of patients but most were told suffered only minor injuries have been discharged. now fans want to know if there were enough safety measures in place. >> i've seen many festivals and no, not like only one is not. >> reporter: they say they've been to many concerts around the world and have never seen such a thin railing

holding back such a large amount of people. >> so many people because people are crazy. they -- everyone wanted to record. >> reporter: reporting in camden, anita he zero cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> also this evening a fire at a popular collegeville pub damaged part of the restaurant that didn't slow business down today. iwitness cameras were there at did you have vinci's pub this afternoon. the fire started just outside of the restaurant and traveled up a pole and damaged part of the roof. employees were able to put the fire out with buckets of water. >> starter as a mulch fire in the plant bed climbed up a pole and got into the roof line actually followed up into the void space. there was two layers of roof got in the middle of the void space and burned in that area for a little bit. >> the restaurant has reopened with only minor cosmetic damage. and a firefighter was injured in new jersey this afternoon battling a fire on a commercial building's roof. this happened on the 800 block of hilton road in pennsauken.

according to fire officials the fire started among roofing material that was left on the roof. the pennsauken fire chief said the most difficult thing about fighting this fire was the weather. >> it just makes it a little bit more labor intensive than the normal fire but as long as we can rotate people through and we have the rehab people here thanks to the cherry hill fire department it makes it a lot easier. >> the fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes. one firefighter was taken to a local hospital suffering minor injuries. the olympics are under way and security is a major concern around rio de janeiro. thousands of police officers have been he deployed to the streets but as correspondent jamie yucas found out there are still flaws in the system. >> reporter: from the famed copa cap ban in a beach to the sports venues at olympic park more than 80,000 officers and military personnel are on the ground in rio de janeiro. protecting some 500,000 tourists visiting for the

games like avery waters from wisconsin. >> there's a cop car on every single corner with lights on and everything like that. >> reporter: does that make you feel safe. >> yeah, plus the army's walking around and driving trucks around all the time. i don't think there should be any problemsism on saturday a bomb squad blue up an unattended bag near the finish line of the men's cycling road race. no one was hurt. there are renewed concerns about security lapses after brazilian authorities arrested t.e.n.s. suspects blotting a terror attack. with a full backpack journalister ron gordon walked into olympic park no questions asked. >> soldier directed us into a security tent but there was only one person manning the security tent and he wasn't even facing the screen that shows you what's inside the bags as it goes through the conveyor and then we walked through the metal detector even though there was nobody on the metal detector and i had my cell phone in my pocket and it didn't go off. >> reporter: rio resident claim police brutality is on the rise because of the olympic games.

>> they really want to threaten and make people stay away from tourist areas. >> reporter: just outside friday's opening ceremony, police used tear gas and rubber bullets to break up protestors of the game. in rio de janeiro jamie yuccas for cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> a fire at a bar in france kills at least 13 people and injures six others during a birthday party. it happened in the northern see of rouen. more than 50 firefighters battling the flames at the bar. it started in the basement. the ceiling caught fire after candles were lit. the fire is still under investigation. meantime republican presidential nominee done strum cyst saving hillary critiy clinton. trump took to twitter to lash out at clinton. in one tweet trump says anybody whose mind short circuits is not fit to be our president. look up the word brain washed.

now, clinton made the remarks during a fox news sunday interview. she was asked about her previous assertion that is she never received any information that was classified at the time the and she said fbi director james comey backed up those claims. she later told reporters she short circuited when discussing the subject during the interview. a legal defeat for third party presidential candidates gary johnson and jill stein. a judge dismissed the lawsuit from the libertarian and green party nominees against the commission on presidential debates. they were trying to overturn a rule that requires a candidate to poll at least 15 percent to participate in the debate. johnson is polling at 10 percent, stein is at about 5 percent. the candidates argued the rule violates the first amendment but the judge said the commission is a private nonprofit and therefore not bound by the constitution. stay with us everyone. still to come tonight on "eyewitness news" a

>> welcome back. anglers from new jersey got to see the professionals do it today during a bass fishing pro am in cherry hill. 16 professional fishermen and four celebrities took part in the tournament. it was sponsored by the i can foundation and the midatlantic youth anglers and outdoor programs. helps to raise funding and introduce youth to fishing and the outdoors. >> i can foundation is around to get kids fishing, to get

"eyewitness news" on 201st and cecil b. moore for the second annual net community care back to school bbq and health fair. the free event raises awareness about health also financial education including free he health screenings food and entertainment free back packs and backpack vouchers were also handed out just before school starts very soon. a pennsylvania bride meantime makes her way down the aisle today with a very special piece of her late father by her side. now this is not jenny's dad but he will give her away on her big day with jenny he's father's heart beating in his

chest. michael stepin was killed in 2006 and his heart because donated to arthur thomas. when it was time for jenny's big day he asked arthur for a big, big favor that started with a letter. >> said dear tom i'm the daughter of the man who's is that right inside you and i'm going to get married on august 6th. one further thing if you're willing, would you walk me down the aisle. >> it's just like having my dad here even -- and just -- and better because we get to share this story with other people and you know other people see he that organ donors do matter. >> well, thomas traveled from new jersey to pittsburgh to do the honors. this is the first time the two have ever met. wow. that is amazing. >> that's so nice. >> very heartwarming. >> yeah. >> pretty warm at a. >> yes, definitely. hot weather has returned, the humidity. >> it's back. >> it's back but it was a really nice week. we got a big break. >> yeahing we got a break. >> after a steamy august. the steam is back. you can feel it as soon as you step outside. it hits you like a wall of moisture.

or current temperature in philadelphia right now as we're goat ago live look at center city some clouds on the scene there, it's 89 but it feels like 97. that is brutal but some of us being cooled off by showers and thunderstorms moving across parts of the area as we check in on our live neighborhood network. our pottstown total is increasing. we're now close to half an inch with a thunderstorm a overhead. bethlehem a quarter of a inch and point pleasant just over .210. we have storms picked up on radar pretty scattered in nature. most of the activity is across parts of montgomery county. moving at only 20 to 25 miles per hour so pottstown you're continuing to see that heavy rain coming down from embedded lightning and could see some gusty winds as well. phoenixville heads up, this cell is moving your way and it will continue to move off to the south and east and eventually could impact parts of philadelphia as we head into the next hour if that cell can hold together. storm scan3 showing us parts

of delaware right now just seeing a little bit of shower activity but might be chasing a few people off the beach there in fenwick island way little shower moving on through so we have that chance of a strong thunderstorm over the next couple of hours. otherwise partly cloudy conditions becoming mostly clear after midnight. 72 degrees and decreasing humidity by the time we wake up tomorrow morning, it's going to feel so much better. it's still a warm day up at 88 degrees abundant sunshine a great looking end to our weekend in store and great feeling as well. 90-degree days, remember last month we had 16 of them. so far this month we haven't had a 90-degree day until today. so, now we're up to 25 so far this season. our high temperature hit 90 on the head in philadelphia got to 90 in ac, 91 degrees in wildwood and temperatures are still very hot at this hour. we're at 89 degrees in ac, 90 in wildwood. a nice, though, rain cooled 76 right now in allentown and the beach, it is toasty down the shore right now because we don't have the sea breeze,

temperature still at 90 degrees in stone harbor so we had the heat and on top of that we had the humidity. dewpoints are outrageous at this point. they're up into the low to middle 70's so that means it feels insufferable on our comfort index when you're stepping outside but all that of changes as we head into the day tomorrow. future weather showing us the activity over the next several hours as we head into midnight really all that of activity coming to an end and i think pretty soon after sunset a lot of that activity will start to diminish as we lose the heating of the day. as we head into the day tomorrow the high is going the roll on. not seeing much happening on future weather because of we have an abundant round of sunshine. great day in the poconos with bright sunshine comfortable conditions and high temperature at 78. much less humid for our sunday. monday is still going to feel pretty great, 87 degrees. maybe a chance of a very stray afternoon thunderstorm. then on tuesday humidity
