shelter and our dogs are safe from catching anything from your dog. we will do a meet and greet, and see if they seem to be a good match. doesn't take a place of slow introduction at home but give us an idea if it will work or not. >> great advice because your dog will be part of the family. as your westi e is with you. now, you take your pet, your kid, et cetera, so everybody gets a great time to be together and you can take them outside and see them out of the cage because animals do not show well after they have been in the cage. this dog, i just hope you can take a look at this dog what great shape this doggies in. when we brought this dog on the show about three weeks ago this dog wait 16-pound, he had been left behind by the owner. >> let me show you a before picture of this animal. this is how this dog looked three weeks ago. now this talk weighs 42-pound

because she's been in foster care for last couple weeks, well fed federal, getting socialized, the owner just moved and left the dog and talk came into a cruelty case. swift is an absolute little angel. the just a puppy just seven months old, and look what he has already found. when you have a puppy, yes, sit and he knows sit, and i think the advice i want to give today for people looking for the next family member and they get to the shelter because you do want to adopt, not shop, that you really take a look. just as you wouldn't want to be judged on your most stressed bad day, anybody would not want that, neither would the dog. if you get a chance to ask the adoption counselor what fits my lifestyle. i love to run, bike, and jog. then you need an active bigger dog. you like to sit around the house lets get a a smaller dog. don't get the bloodhound if

you want to sit around your house and watch reality tv. >> i think it is so important and i didn't think about this before but when do go to the adoption center, spca, you bring your whole family with you. it is a family experience and that is important. >> the dogs are already behaviorally assessed but you know let your dogs see if the present dog your about to get with the dog or cat you where to get. it vice important that the entire family get involved in this. just remember you don't look just for the cutest dog. it is tempt to go go by that is a cute one. it is also much more important, to have the personality meet your family's personality, the family and kind of dogs, dogs are bread for certain things f you have a border collie they want to heard things up. people think when they start gathering kids up what are they doing with the kid. they are doing what has come naturally to that breed. you need to make sure their
