sustain. that we have lighting maintenance 95 south between walt whitman bridge and broad street. that is moving in the southbound direction on i-95. we have an accident this morning, newark, delaware this happened around 3:00 a.m. track road is closed between route 896 and, whittaker. use west chestnut hill road would be your best bet. i will have more on construction in ten minutes. joe, over to you. a six year-old philadelphia girl caught in the cross fire is at st. christopher's hospital this morning. we just checked in she's in critical but stable condition. now, this shooting happened last night while she was playing in front of her east germantown home. police say two people exchanged shots in the 6300 block of north wood stock street. one of those bullets hit the girl under her arm. >> this was very, very disturbing for the police. help someone gets hit with the stray bullet and they are innocent, that is a particular concern to us. >> reporter: police say in all 21 shots were fired, several

other bullets also hit two parked cars, detectives are searching, for those shooters. philadelphia police are looking into whether another shooting in east germantown is related to the one on north wood stock street last night, this one happened about a block away, early this morning a 47 year-old man was shot near 21st and chelten. he told police he was walking near his home when he heard gunfire and realized he was shot. he is in stable condition, and a park car was also hit the by, bullets. mayors in the three wildwood are calling for beach go tours stay out of the water when life guard are gone. in the past few you days there have been eight rescues and life guard were off the job. six people were rescued sat the day evening in north wildwood, three more were rescued in wildwood sunday night. one man in the second incident died from his injuries and "eyewitness news" still found a few people in the the ocean, long after the sun went down. >> it is real nice out, not as much people bothering you.

prosecutors believe ruben johnson, junior killed his wife mishanda and their ten year-old son before turning the gun on himself monday night. officials have not release aid possible motive but county record indicate that the couple may have been in financial trouble. the home was scheduled for a sheriff's sale in october. neighbors say they have no eye idea what the family was going through. >> it is such a complete family. you would never just expect that. so, it is a tragedy. it really is. >> i didn't see them out much, but the kid was always outside, playful, happy. >> older child is attending college out of state. the family has set up a go fund me page to help pay for funeral expenses for mishanda and her son. details are on our web site at cbs philly.com. pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane returns to the norristown courtroom this morning. prosecutors attempted yesterday to paint kane as a public official out for revenge when they say she leaked secret grand jury

and we've got a little bit of cloud cover out there, thankfully nothing terribly low to the ground over center city just yet but a few patches where we see some fog here and there but generally speaking we are off to an okay start. good morning, happy wednesday to you we are looking ahead here to the beginning of at

least a stretch of the 90 plus degree days in our forecast and we do have again some clouds overhead but no wet weather to report just yet. although, as you look just off in the distance to the northwest, let me zoom it out one time we have showers and storms rumbling through off to the north and west. far north and west but perhaps poconos get clipped by a quick shower this morning. generally we will wait until this afternoon in mess locations for any wet weather to start popping up. with that said it is scattered variety of showers and storms later today but it is a running theme from here on out. heat index is something that gets progressively worse and worse and it looks like the worst of the humidity leading to these high index values will be peeking on friday and saturday. 105 is where we will max out for feels like values around the city on friday and saturday and you can understand why. those will be the hottest day but we will hit low to mid 90's every day of the next five days and with some sun along the way it is hot and humid but everyone of those days also features potential
