oppressive day that we will feel out of the next, three or four days, including today an excessive heat warning has been extended, and went in effect at noon today. that is pink shading. i have to tell you an excessive heat watch has been issued for urning areas as well. this does in the go in effect heat watch until saturday afternoon. that will continue through the day on sunday but you can see areas surrounding philadelphia, including main line, including lower bucks county, all of the delaware county, portions of chester county, northern delaware and much of gloucester, camden and northern burlington counties are under that heat warning and it does not expire until 9:00 o'clock sunday night. here's why. look at these temperatures. 93 degrees in philadelphia. that is down 1 degree from last hour when we hit 94. ninety-three in millville. ninety-four in wildwood. it is 90 in allentown but that only tells you half story. dew points in the mid 70's, that heavy, thick air you have been feeling all day when you have been outside if you have been outside and look at these feels like temperatures.

from the roller coaster at a park near pittsburgh. emergency crew where is called to idlewild park just before noon, authorities say that the child was conscious and alert while being air lifted to a local children's hospital. this has been the third major incident at an american amusement park in four days. a ten year-old boy was killed while riding a giant slide at a kansas city water park on sunday. a day later in tennessee three girls fell 30 feet from a ferris wheel. it is day three of the kathleen kane criminal trial. pennsylvania attorney general former boyfriend and political consultant, testified about leaks and lies in norristown today. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is in the courtroom. >> reporter: joshua marrow was kathleen kane political consultant and also the person to hand secret grand jury documents over to a philadelphia newspaper reporter in 2014. marrow now has immunity for testifying a begins his former boss, the latest immunity agreement signed just yesterday.

today, after he took the stand, the prosecution played an fbi recording of a phone call between marrow and a friend and captured him talking about how he plans to release second grand jury document to make a rival prosecutor look bad. in the recording marrow called the attorney general unhinged and spelled out what she wanted released. marrow testified that quote chief kane was hell bent at getting back at frank fina. prosecution showed text messages kane marrow shared after the leak and before it was public, marrow writing what does that say about revenge. kane. best served cold. are we eating out cold. marrow i hope you enjoy the read in a few days. marrow went on to describe a paranoid kane when she learned of a grand jury investigation in the leak. he testified to meetings with the attorney general where he was searched and forced to give up his wallet, keys and cell phone before speaking to her. also today marrow admitted that he admitted that he lied to the grand injury bye kane's

involvement saying he was trying to protect her. he says burden of keeping this lie is affecting him both personally and professionally. the truth, marrow says he and kane conn cock a story to pin leak on top aid and former boyfriend adrian king. king wrapped up his testimony this morning, he says he gave the envelope containing grand jury information to marrow but didn't know what was inside. kane is charged with felony perjury and eight count of conspiracy, obstruction, oppression and in norristown, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". in other news a man was shot and killed in a north philadelphia neighborhood overnight, and now police have identified the victim. the man is 46 year-old jorge lopez. police found lopez lying on the streets suffering from multiple gunshot wound. responding officers then observed another man fleeing from the scene, gun in hand. after a foot pursuit, standing about two blocks police apprehended the suspects, lopez was taken to temple hospital where he later

succumbed to his injuries. the view from the sky shows the sheer devastation of the fiery explosion that rocked an apartment building in maryland. it happened just before midnight in the washington d.c. suburb of silver spring. authorities say at least two people died in the blast, their bodies were found in the ruins of the building this morning. several others remained unaccounted for. officials say some neighbors saved lives by helping get residents out of the burning building before fire fighters got there. >> thirty-four individuals were taken to local hospitals, including three fire fighters hoff been treated and released as of this morning. >> red cross is assisting about 100 displaced residents the cause of the blast has yet to be determined. we are learning more tonight about the man who scaled trump to you inner new york city yesterday. that climber is 19 year-old steven regatta of great falls, virginia. he was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. police grabbed him and pulled him into the window on the 21st floor. regatta says he was seeking a quote private audience with

camera is. take peak at storm scan three, it has been relatively quiet except for mercer county new jersey where the storm is still in place there we have a few more scattered showers through portions of the lehigh valley and berks county as well but most of this is missing the city to the north. you can see upper bucks county seeing scattered showers and storms, few slow downs with wet wet's long northeast extension but strongest storm is right here just clipping northern mercer county and that does have a lot of lightening associated witt. i don't expect too much more in the way of thunderstorm activity through tonight. you can see a few showers off to the north, and we will clear it the out through overnight hours. stray shower in philadelphia we had one of those this morning that can pop up at anytime in this regime and afternoon is when these storms like to feed off that heat and humidity. line of storms tomorrow at 6:00 tomorrow evening these storms could pass through and get locally strong. that then clears out. we have another chance with spotty afternoon storms, on the saturday. not doing much to break the heat. i have taken thunderstorm out of the eagles forecast

tonight. there may be a stray shower but big he problem is heat and humidity at kick off at 89. still feeling closer to 39 or 94. when you wake up tomorrow 78 is morning low here in philadelphia. that will tie the record for warmest low temperature, and that record was setback in 1988, it looks like we will tie that at 78 tonight. future heat index values brings us back to the triple digit tomorrow afternoon, it will be here again saturday. sat the day with that tropical humidity could feel as hot as 110. briefly want to talk about hot cars. cars temperatures will increase 40 degrees in an hour but 80 percent occurs in the first half an hour. just a reminder to please never leave pets and kid in cars. window cracked does not the do anything to combat that warming. it is very, very dangerous outside even for five or ten minutes. for your friday hot and humid with a hit or miss thunderstorm. ninety-four will feel like 104. saturday 96 will feel like 106 at best. possibly as hot as 111. and on sunday we have seen
