12:17 pm

12:19 pm
>> ya, so, if that was what woke you up in the middle of the night, hopefully were you able to get back to sleep. hopefully, those storms are long gone. enjoying sunshine so far. looking ahead to nice rest of the day, overall, now, potential for some thunderstorms which we will get to. i don't think they arrive until later tonight. let me get you out there. show you what's happening, first and for most, with beautiful shot hereof gorgeous atlantic city, right now under nothing more than couple of patchy clouds, taking this shot of course in atlantic city because we have that atlantic city air show, just about ready to get underway. in the the breeze, courtesy of those waiving flags there, so, it is definitely a breezy afternoon. we did just have frontal boundery that tried to push on through. that's where that's coming from. but in addition, to the breeze, again, there is the potential that will end up with wet weather, and i think the shore could get involved in that, too. to storm scan, show you what's going on with the overall pattern. cold front is technically what brought us the showers, the thunderstorms yesterday. however, you can still see it is kind of strung out right
12:20 pm
now. it is going to be stalling nearby. so typically with cold front passage, you hope the nice refreshing air mass takes over, it is better outside, but it hasn't quite cleared the coast. obviously, so it hasn't really been the full change in the pattern that you might expect from a cold front passage. so, what we will be dealing with here guys as we continue to keep this front sort of hung up nearby is that at least the worse of the humidity is dropping off. but it is still kind of there. kind of have our between not bad, and steamy, when it comes to the dew point the next couple of days, but by comparison, this is so much better of a an afternoon, the last couple of days, we'll take it, little victories that come along with the forecast, meanwhile, we've got moderate or i should say slight risk rather for some severe weather, most notably through the delmarva peninsula, point across the bay, into maryland and virginia, and even marginal risk just south of the city for more downpours, gusty wind, frequent lightning. tonight specifically, let me walk you through the timing
12:21 pm
here, jumping you all the way to 9:00 p.m. future weather, i believe, i like the way this initialize z, we may just be starting to see some activity on the area radar here, so, i do think that the phillies will get their game in without a hitch, unless they go into like 18 innings for some reason, so should be okay. but regardless, kate will probably having it to track at 11:00 tonight. looks like we'll end up with heavy downpours rolling through or south of philadelphia. so, that will primarily be the spot that get hit the hardest, could see showers as far north as the poconos, then clearing out to sea back on the air for "eyewitness news" at 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. the forecast if you are headed down to the ballpark, clouds will be building. i think we stay dry. just storms on the horizon off to the west toward the end of those innings. again, warm night certainly, 84 degrees, but we've seen so much worse. 84 degrees the current temperature, outside palmyra cove nature park with citizens bank park well off in the distance, can barely see it,
12:22 pm
but at least nice afternoon overall. not terribly humid even though there is mid 60s for dew points, partly sunny at the beach here this afternoon, like we said, great excuse to go check out the air show, we'll flirt with or actually hit 09 degrees in the days ahead, not too much movement in this pattern, so there could be spotty shower or storm along the way, guys, but it is not what we dealt with before. so it is better by comparison. >> i like the fact earlier you said refreshing. >> yes. >> and i will go with refreshing. >> definitely better. i'll stick to that one. >> all right, and business class seats on delta flights are about to get way nicer. airline reps just announced business class on some international flights will be all suites. that means, you get your own bed, your own entertainment system, your own storage space, and you don't have to climb over anyone to get to the bathroom. that's the best part, right? the roll-out will take years to complete but it starts next year in the fall. >> that's going to sell out like that.
12:23 pm
i would pay for that in a heartbeat. >> do you know how expensive those tickets will be? >> it will create competition, because a lot of other airlines do this on international flights. it will create competition, which could mean cheaper prices. >> just the foot room alone. >> yeah. >> coming up who is gearing up for school by stuffing 30,000 back packs.
