out. the sun is trying hard to break through. we do have some signs of blue skies out here. now we had obviously couple of showers that rolled through early this morning, at this point any of the green you're finding on storm scan, pretty much ground clutter at the radar site. look at loop here over the last couple of hours, yes, clouds have really thin dollars out nicely. so it is looking, to set up to be pretty nice afternoon. i would say that there is a possibility that we still see a stray left over shower, but generally if you got outdoor plans, i think you're good, 81 the current temperature at philadelphia international airport right now. and as we had mention, we've been delta eight-day stretch, of 90 plus degrees, and today, we think it will be close, but we think that we're going to break that streak here. other than a spotty, key word, spotty left over shower here and there, we expect to hit the upper 80s in philly, 89 specifically, meanwhile, at the resort towns talking low and mid 80s for daytime highs here. so all-in-all setting up to be nice afternoon, even though we start it off with the gray skies, but coming up, we are going to be dealing eventually with a return, yes, of the

humidity. i know that's the last thing you want to hear, but it will pay us back down the road. so we'll have your full forecast later in the show. we send it back into you. >> thank, katie. one of the largest shopping malls in the united states is getting even bigger. our anita oh, live in kop where after more than half century the court and the maas are one. hey, anita? >> reporter: brooke, we know this mall is already huge, but this expansion is bringing it up to nearly 3 million square feet, many tweeting me, they say, they already get lost here, you may remember the plaza and the court used to be separated by this outdoor walkway, but now becoming one very large building. now, this opening has been two years in the making they first broke grounds on the expansion back in 2014. mall leaders celebrated today with ribbon cutting ceremony, live music and food from the new eatery, 50 new shop and restaurant, have been added here, there is new eating area called save or king of prussia. it includes popular chains, you may recognize, like high

neighborhood, happened about 2:00 a.m. in the 2700 block of newkirk street. firefighters battled flames, while dealing with our ongoing summer heat. thankfully no one was injured in that fire. >> new add noon, two people are in police custody, because investigators say they found and seized more than 50 images of child sex abuse in chester county. fifty-seven year old laurence jamison, and 25 year old, john brown, both face host of charges. police say they searched jamison's resident in malvern earlier this month and discovered the pair were creating child pornography, as well. they're both behind bars tonight. >> in other news, bucks county woman has been charged with rigging horse races by introducing performance enhancing drugs. twenty-five year old mayor john vague an of bensalem faces charges today, they say she gave the drugs to horses while she was employed at the parks casino and racing venue in bensalem. she is now out on $20,000 bail. said to appear in court on august 31. >> now, to campaign 2016, republican presidential

nominee, donald trump, is on the road in north carolina. with his new campaign team. the new team includes the conservative former bright bart news executive steve ban on, and new campaign manager, kelly ann conway, along with chairman paul mantafort. some call it risky move 90 days before election day, trump and team first received briefing yesterday. meantime, new pole find that latino voters trust democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton much more than donald trump. the survey conducted by fox news latino found that 78% of latino voters believe that gop presidential candidate donald trump is neither honest nor trustworthy. now some latinos polled believe the same about clinton but by much smaller margin. 1% of voters survey believe she could not be trusted. >> the green party candidate are taking their case to the voters. doctor jill stein, and runningmate, took part in town hall last night.

>> reporter: a brazilian police official tells the associated press that olympian ryan lochte made up the story about getting robbed at gunpoint in rio. he says lochte and three other american swimmers got into altercation with a gas station security guard, early sunday morning, after one of the swimmers broke a bathroom door. the information contradict this earlier claim from lochte. >> guy pulls out this gun, he cox it, puts it to my forehead, says get down, and i put my hand up, like whatever. >> reporter: lochte has already left brazil, but conger, gunnar bentz, and james feigen still in rio. pulled off a judge after a judge ruled she wanted to hear from them again. brazilian authorities began doubting the olypians when the stories did not match. lochte told police single gunman held them up took $400. jimmy feigen claimed there were several robbers, one armed. wednesday night lochte's version changed again, he

police hope you can help them track down the man they say stole a bicycle from a philadelphia k-mart. the surveillance video shows the man riding the red bike inside the store on the 3300 block of aramingo avenue. police say this is about 3:00 in the morning tuesday. police say the suspect got away, but if you recognize them, call police. sometimes a helping hands can go a long way. >> our pat gallen tells us about a local man, who went

well beyond philadelphia to help a teenager in need. >> nineteen year old fred barrel i wanted a job at gordon state college before the semester began, so he road a small bike 50 plus miles to school, then slept in a tent. that's where local auto mechanic andrew comes in. >> when the story hit facebook, i caught winds of it, and inquired if the kid had a drivers license, which he did, whether he was in a position to except a vehicle, you know, process the paperwork, which he was. >> andrew had 2003 hyundai that needed a home, so he drove from philadelphia to georgia, to give the car to him. >> we got together thursday night, which was the day before we actually presented the car to him. and he just is a great young kid. he had an infectious smile, infectious laugh, loves to hug everybody, real dedicated kid with a lot of dedication. >> i've known him since childhood, thought it was a great time to do a nice thing.

speaking back in the sunshine, looks like it will stick around for the majority of the rest of the day here. still warm outside, also expecting to not get too quite the levels on the thermometer as we've seen in recent days. looking at storm scan, you can have pretty scattered showers, but they were bit more widespread, rolling on through early this morning, notice, what happens, the tail end of the loop. see few more bubble up here, back through north central pennsylvania, and some of that could survive and fire up here before said and done. so i don't want to totally rule out the possibility of left over shower, i would say more than anything expect to mix sun and clouds the rest of the day. this frontal boundery finally sort of sizzling away, but we are eventually going to see another front come our way, and i allude dollars to that earlier in the show. that comes by this weekend, and it is what finally breaks us of the worse of any heat, any humidity. so come tomorrow, we are back in the influence of high pressure for one day. and this particular model is picking up that maybe portions of the garden state see quick shower, generally looking sunny, just warm, and then by the weekend, this is the front

that eventually is going to move through. and again, bring in new threat for more widespread showers and storms, i know it looks like it bulbs up hereby the time we hit saturday afternoon, but notice, it should be pretty scattered in nature. there will be shower, thunderstorm around on saturday, generally in the afternoon, or evening, and scattered in nature. and then, come sunday, we start to see maybe some more widespread and heavier thunderstorms coming in, especially sunday night. so, most of your weekends is looking partly sunny just little steamier and humid. meanwhile we have some tropical activities, tropical storm fiona out there. looking at the expected track here, expecting this will move nice and slowly. at this point, general northwest flow in terms of where it will actually go, bermuda, may need to be on guard, but still many, many days away. we will let you know if you have any travel interests out that way whether or not it is something that may end up becoming a lands falling issue. but i don't suspect that this will be a problem for the united states coastline. speaking of the united states

coastline, beautiful day at the beach right now, have some showers, gray skies have since cleared here outside beach patrol headquarters in margate. so other than that spotty left over shower chance, that i want to allow for, looking at nice afternoon on the beach, water temperatures are little cooler today, 84 degrees, so the expected daytime high with nice low rip countries being, meanwhile, later tonight, under partly cloudy sky, stays nice and warm, phillies should play without any major hit here whatsoever, but as we look forward in the forecast again, steaminess returning for us this weekend, specifically, that is because, again, awaiting the full passage of our next cold front. so as that happens, watch for heavier around thunderstorms specially sunday night, and then skies start to clear out monday, and tuesday, wednesday, guys, look gorgeous right now. not just sunny but comfortable warmth, low humidity. >> i give that one a thumbs-up, or two.
