a elderly man is injured in a home invasion when attack and robbed inside of his home. good evening, i'm jessica dean. i'm nicole brewer. ukee is off this a happened on the 700 block of her ford road in wilmington. our natasha brownies live in the neighborhood with the very latest, natasha. >> reporter: we are here on the 700 block of hurford road in wilmington quiet secluded street here, this home invasion happened in the middle of the afternoon at 12:30 new castle county police say an 81 year-old man answered the knock. suspect was a black male. victim went back inside the residents to get something. that is when police say suspect forced his way inside. some kind of a physical altercation did take place leading elderly man injured. the suspect did steel items from the home and then fled the scene in the red two door

car. disabled adults son was also inside the home at the time of this home invasion. we understand he was not hurt, and the elderly man 81 year-old victim did receive emergency medical care here at his home, right after the incident happened. of course, this is still a very active ongoing investigation by new castle county police but that is very latest reporting live, natasha brown for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a missing penn state professor has been found dead, and police have arrested a man for his murder. police say professor ronald betting was lured in the quarter any potter township and push off a ledge to his death. the suspect, 39 year-old george ishler junior is behind bars and associate professor, penn state college of communications he was first hired in 1988. a 16 year-old girl charged in connection with the death of amy joyner francis will have her case heard in family court. today a delaware judge denied a request from prosecutors to

have the girl face criminally negligent homicide and conspiracy charges as an adult. joyner francis died in april after an attack in her high school bathroom. two other girls are charged with conspiracy as minors. fight begins zika virus could begin right in your own back yard. officials in camden county just unveiled a new tool residents can use to help track down mosquito breeding sites. "eyewitness news" new jersey reporter cleve bryan is live in gloucester township with that story, cleve. >> reporter: whether it is a bucket of rainwater or pond anywhere there is stagnant water mosquitoes will breed. to fight off west nile and zika camden county is making it easier for community to get involved in reporting issues. >> none of these are here. >> reporter: identifying and killing mosquitoes are primary defense against spread of the zika virus. there are no confirms cases of people contracting zika from new jersey and camden county

is rolling out a new way to report mosquito problems. >> what we have developed here is a strategy that will help us more intelligencely work through this data, so that we can provide a more targeted, and tailored and specific response for the community. >> reporter: in less time then it takes to calm mosquito control have have someone fill out the a report, you can now do it yourself on line and you'll get updates on how county is addressing the issue. >> it saves time. we now have a report that is very inclusive and it helps us jump on things more quickly. >> reporter: say you report a stagnant pond or pool breeding mosquitoes, message goes right to the inspector to determine ahead of time whether chemicals or mosquito eating fish should be used and county can trap them to test for zika and west nile. >> somebody complains mosquito here we will take a sample and we know what species is in that location where they said they were happening. >> reporter: officials say even with the return of travelers from the rio

heat. if you you are a go get it go get a 3-mile run. i will wait until next week when temperatures drop and we have got some cooler nights to look forward to maybe finally switch that air conditioning off for a couple nights here. lets look outside. not much going on. we have a couple cloud moving over the delaware river. you can see sky line of the city in the background. beautiful evening here in philadelphia. as long as you are looking outside window. still warm. temperatures near 90. here's good news. we don't have much if anything in the way of shower activity, looking like a few will develop off to the east, they did just briefly and now everything has pretty much fizzled out and we will in the see much of anything in the way of showers here this evening and tonight. let's plan your weekend. this is most important, everyone has lots of plans this time of the year now that summer weekend in short supply. tomorrow is a great day to get outside, do we have a chance for stray storm? we do. few and far between. most of the day sunny, warm, humid highs in the upper 80's, great pool day and beach day as well.

the sunday morning looks okay. cloud, breaks of sunshine, but one or 2:00 o'clock on sunday a few showers could start to increase, and cloud will increase, and, sunday and dinner hour sunday we have heavy and, planning an outdoor barbecue, saturday is your day, sunday evening not quite as nice for that. here's what it looks like. not a whole lot happening tonight. tomorrow a few and far between 3:00 p.m. just a couple spots pick up a stray thunderstorm. they will come through briefly fizzle out quickly and they can have heavy rain but one or two spots and then those storms move out. sunday morning we will have sunshine, breaks in the included cover here at 9:00 a.m. but showers and storms lurking just to the west sunday morning. cloud increase, possibly a few showers around as early as midday but it is this line of storms coming through that will pack biggest punch with heavy rains and strong wind possible. with the heat lets jump to fall. three days until eagles home opener or eagles opener, 60
