some of the storms could be severe, as well, later today. high temperature up around 88 degrees from philadelphia, 84 at the shore, looks like the storms should hold off until the evening hours, not bad batch day, mid 70s up in the poconos, then talk about the cool down, how long it lasts for the work week coming up in a few more minutes. >> cool down sure sounds nice, thanks, justin. one person in the hospital after accident on roosevelt boulevard. happened just after 3:00 on roosevelt boulevard and broad streetment now we're told the car collided with a motorcycle. one person was returned to the hospital, but is expected to be okay. >> the search continues for a gunman who shot and killed a man in burlington city, new jersey, shooting happened at york and federal before 7:00 saturday night, five year old girl was also hurt but police say it is not clear if she was wounded or just injured while running from the shop. -- shots. >> fortunately the five year old female has non-life threatening injuries, being treated as we speak. currently we have made progress in this case. i do not have information to

hands out at this time. >> and there is still no word yet on what led to that shooting. >> a shoot-out on the cobbs creek section of philadelphia leaves three people wounded. police say the violence started when a 21 year old man and his three friends followed his exgirlfriends home on the 100 block of 55th street saturday morning. the man reportedly got into an argument with a 19 year old neighbor and opened fire as he ran into his home. police say this is when the 19 year old's family grabbed their on weapon. >> they begin shooting back, hit the 24 year old in a leg, also hit a 15 year old with the group of four, male initially shooting at the house strikes one of the 25 year old brothers in the stomach. >> and police say the family members who opened fire will not be charges since they were defending themselves. exboyfriend and 24 year old friend shot in the leg will face charges. >> a hit-and-run in north philadelphia has lift a woman dead. neighbors tell us the woman was a veteran who had fallen

on hard times, but they say she was a fixture in the fairhill community. "eyewitness news" reporter tran dough has more. >> she is always, always here, every morning, she sleeps here, rain, she's always here. >> until police say a man driving under the influence took her away. >> my heart is broken. you know, even though she homeless lady, it hurts. >> the 37 year old woman known as elaine was fixture in mayor hill for years. >> just yesterday i said no one tells you this, i love you, and her words was bye, girl, see you later. >> just before 1:45 saturday morning, police say 29 year old man struck and killed elaine as she sat in her wheelchair in the median at lehigh and mascher. the driver hit a teenager and ran a red light before officers caught up to him. >> don't leave. whatever happens, but you stop, it is a person, it is a

a stabbing outside a bar in old city that left a 30 year old man fighting for his life. it happened around 2:00 saturday morning at blue martini near second and marketment there is no word on motive. so far police have not announced any arrests. >> a bombing targetting a wedding party in turkey has killed at least 30 people and wounded 94 others. at this point, isis has not claimed responsibility for the attack, but as jill wagner reports, the bombing comes after a wave of attacks that have been claimed basilica of saints peter and paul either isis or kurdish millitant. >> ambulances returned to the scene to treat victims of the deadly terrorist attack near the tour i shall syrian border. one of the victims looked dazed as she was carried away on a stretcherment witnesses by the hundreds had gathered for outdoor wed whg explosion sent people running for cover. family members used blankets to cover the dead. officials say at least 90 people were injured. turkey is still recovering from the violence and

bloodshed following a fouled coup attempt last month. officials believe the suicide bomb is her responsible for saturday attack. so far no one has claimed responsibility. jill wagner, cbs news, new york. >> the paramedics who rescued syrian boy from a building hit by air strike earlier this week is now appealing to the world to stop bombing the boy's hometown. five year old became the haunting i am raj. the paramedic carried him out of the building destroyed. he said hundreds of people are being injured or killed every day, and the battle between rebels and the syrian government. they've also now learned the boy's ten year old brother died from injuries suffered in the air strike. if you would like to help victims in syria, we have information for you on our website cbsphilly.com. just look in the menu section. >> zika virus continues to spread in florida despite weeks of sprague insecticides in the miami area. health officials discovered new zika zone in miami beach, five people are believed to have been infected by local

tours, could be some strong or severe thunderstorms,. >> will it bring relief. >> it will bring relief. much to look forward to for a lot of people tired of the heat and humidity. get nice comfortable conditions. so let's talk about it, waking up, have little sunshine mixed when low clouds, little fog depending where you are, but dry this morning, so traveling around the region looking pretty good for the next several hours, once we hit the afternoon, we will start to see this cold front approach the delaware valley. that will run the risk for increased chance for showers, storms, not raining all afternoon long, they'll be scattered. so get breaks from time to time. and perhaps even some spots, don't see any rain at all. it is a cold front just off to the ohio vale. so it is on the move. it is pretty strong front. it will bring the bye change, going to clear our region, which will help drop humidity and take the temperatures back to where we they should be, few degrees below average. right now the showers well across western pennsylvania, but with the daytime heating today we start to see some thunderstorms by later this afternoon, and a lot of humidity out there, you can

feel it, here are the air temperatures, mid 60s, coolest spot, inland at the a.c. airport. dover checks in at 72 degrees, ocean water comfortable at 78. off the coast of atlantic city, 74 in philadelphia, 76 mullica hill. similar numbers northwest suburbs, normally cooler spot, still hanging around 70 degrees, this hour, up in quakertown, humidity is high, dew .71 degrees, that feels oppressive t stays like that all day long. that's what's going to help fuel some heavier downpours, and perhaps, even some stronger thunderstorms later today. shore forecast, overall, it is not bad. we will see the sunshine, those storms should hold off and toward -- until the evening hours, so avenue all should be dry beach day, 84 degrees. tomorrow the winds kicks up, drops humidity, breezy at 81, a loft sunshine on tap for actuals. look at that, highs at the shore tuesday in the upper 70s. out in the tropics, fiona still hanging on the tropical storm status. winds at 45 miles per hour, actually strengthen little bit compared to yesterday, still the track off to the north and west, and eventually weakening

back into a tropical depression. probably on tuesday, or so, perhaps maybe bring some disturbed weather to bermuda, but that's about it, probably won't even crease our surf along the jersey shore, just weak system. we bring it back home, 2:00 this afternoon, start to see the showers, few thunderstorms breaking out. but you can see they're broken up little bit. again key word here is scatter. we run the risk through at least early evening, for some strong to severe thunderstorms, probably by 11:00 most of the showers start to move off shore. we get the clearing skies as front moves through. wake up monday morning with lot of sunshine, little bit breezy, but nice refreshing air mass moving in place. marginal risk for severe storms for the areas in green. basically western new jersey on westward through the delaware valley. little bit more stable right along the immediate coastline, decrease chances for thunderstorms today. high temperatures slightly cooler than yesterday, mid upper 80s due to the cloud cover, tonight 70 to lower 60s potentially by early tomorrow morning for the low, indicator of the cooler air mass, then

highs tomorrow, noticeably cooler, 83, 84 degrees at best, average for this time of year. today some sunshine, humid, watch out for late day storms, up to 88 degrees, still shower storm chances around early tonight low of 72 for the city, some 60s in the suburbs. look at the extended forecast, drop the temperatures back to the low 80s for the high on tuesday, very low humidity, lows tuesday morning, for the city and the low 60s, so that means well down into the 50's, in a lot of the suburbs, you can keep the windows open. looks like we keep it dry until friday when we see more storm chances, back into the upper eight's for highs, rahel. >> justin, thank youment it is final day of competition for the summer olympics, in rio de janeiro, saturday banner day for usa track and field, the us men's four by 400-meter relay team to olympic gold. the american finished with time of two minute 57.30 seconds. more than .8 of a second faster than runner up jamaica. >> and allison felix set

women's track record with her six career gold medal. helped the us win by win the four-by-four hundred meter relay, won the final leg of the race, usa won. they finished just ahead of jamaican britain. >> the us women's basketball team won their sixth straight gold medal. they beat spain saturday, 101 to 72, and the us men's basketball team goes for its third strayed medal today when it faces serbia. >> and a lot of people talking about this, host country brazil took hold the gold in men's soccer. victory touched off celebrations all across the soccer obsessed nation. yesterday rematch of the world cup semifinals, brazil of course seeking redemption from that lost in the world cup, and they got it. defeating germany in a shoot-out. tonight's closing ceremony rio, team usa chose simone biles to carry the us flag. biles is the first female gymnast to receive the honor which comes after she won four gold medals and five medals overall at the rio games.

changes coming? >> you got that. do have big changes. first we have to get through the showers and storms that do bring some relief in the heat and humidity. but look outside right now. it is great start to a sunday morning here in center city, right now, skies have cleared out a little bit. we'll see more clouds builds up, especially this afternoon, we do run the risk for showers, thunderstorms. it is warm, humid. you can feel the difference, 74 degrees, this hour, in allentown, and philadelphia, low 70s, in dover, delaware. and the suburbs, kind of in the same situation, pretty much uniform in nature as far as the temperatures, in the lower 70s. there is the change in the dew point. lehigh valley already 8 degrees. higher dew point compared to yesterday at this time. just indicating more humidity around. and this humidity builds throughout the morning, into the afternoon. and that helps fuel some showers and thunderstorms, that could contain some heavy downpours, now, storm scan3, nice and quiet now, you will in the some clouds, depending zero where you are roll in from the west, through the morning hours, but, we will see few peaks of sunshine, but it is this afternoon, especially between 2:00 and 9:00. we'll see the risk for

how about you? >> a lot of work going on here, your volunteers got out here about 4:30 this morning, tell me what makes this race so different? >> so your standard 5k smashed with a bunch of color. so not so typical. but we sends our race runners doing the 3 miles, during that whole course they'll be splashed with colors at four different color stations, then we invite them back afterward for huge dance party filled with colors. this is powdered color, like chalk, that they'll be used, and the runners are literally canvases for art, right? >> absolutely. so with every runner's registration, we give out white t-shirt, a lot of people won't wear them, because they'll come with their own creative team names, creative designs for t-shirts, yes, during the course when they're splashed with color, after during the dance party, you know, they'll become that canvas, and they'll start as white complete canvas, and be finished with, you know, just rainbow of color. >> and take a look. these volunteers all lined up

number one thing always is safety. this is your pride and joy, this is your baby. twenty-one year study in the journal academic pediatrics, not every family is so careful. researchers found that 361,000 children, ages five and younger, went to the emergency room for stroller or carrier related injuries. that is about two children every hour. topping the list of the most common injuries, are children falling from the stroller or carrier followed by the product's tipping. >> these products are generally safe. how much, injuring do occur, and these injuries can be serious. >> trauma inch brain injuries and concussions accounted for one quarter of the injuries. >> we know concussions or brain injuries could have long-term on development. so woe want parents to take the steps they can to prevent these from occurring to their children. >> says those steps include:
