lauren. >> thanks, natasha. getting a live look in center city philadelphia summarizing the scene over the course of our sunday especially after about lunchtime. rain pouring down greatly reduced visibility and we have heavier cell currently moving through center city, philadelphia, it's moving east. so next up, gloucester city to haddenfield, cherry hill and running immediate and deptford continues east. also watch for imbedded lightning. we have seen heavy rain primarily across the southern half of delaware valley over the last several hours. strongest weather we have moving through delaware and parts of jersey shore there's a flash flood warning in effect until 9:00 for kent county, delaware. good news is though the heaviest rain is starting to now move out of delaware. you notice some cities included in the flash flood warning in the last couple hours smyrna to dover, river view, farming ton. millford included within the flash flood warning and good time to stay over the roads. this is three hour loop. you can see how long that heavy

rainfall persist add cross parts of kent county, delaware and now this heavy cell is moving through cape may county, new jersey. watch for nearly continuous lightning and heavy rainfall that continues to traverse cape i may county as we traverse the next 30 to 45 minutes and delaware beaches you have heavy cells looking eastbound your way watch for posibility gusty winds as well. rainfall totals over the last couple of hours pretty significant for a short period of time. black ford delaware pigging up inch and a half of rainfall and reading close to inch and a half setting daily rainfall record west chester well over an inch and philadelphia international so far tenth of an inch before the most recent rainfall. good news revealed in live neighborhood network camera, kutztown now showing us clouds in place and starting to breakdown. cooler temperatures. and the winds have shivtd out of the north. and that cold front will continue to move across the area over the next couple hours. the rain moves out. we start to clear out. i think especially by midnight

and there after dry conditions for monday morning commute. and you are going to like what tomorrow, the next day. and the next day and maybe even the next day has to offer and i'll have all the good news in your full forecast coming up. >> all right. lauren, thank you very much . >> two fire fight rerz injured battling flames in bensalem home. the fire started 2:00 this afternoon on tennis avenue. one firefighter suffered diabetic shock and the other was burned. both are expected to survive. no other injuries were reporte reported. the fire is now under control but there's no word yesterday on how it started. >> also tonight, philadelphia police identified the driver accused in a hit-and-run that killed a wheelchair bound homeless veteran. they are charged andrew acito with homicide by vehicle. he was under the influence while driving his truck on lehigh avenue when he struck the 37-year-old victim near mascher street. acito sped off and struck

another pedestrian an 18-year-old woman and still kept going. she suffered minor injuries. officers did late area rest acito lehigh and b street. >> a second person was charged in the killing of a penn state professor whose body was found at the bottom of a quarry in center county this week. 32-year-old danielle giore was arraigned this weekend on multipal charges including murder. police say she helped to plot the death of communications professor ronald bedig he was ally pushed off a cliff at the hanson quarry by 39-year-old george ishler and ishler and giore thought they could profit from his death buzz of a will he recently signed. >> convicted child molester jerry sandusky will be back in court tomorrow. the former penn state coach is now trying to get his conviction overturned because he says his lawyer was ineffective. sandusky is serving 30 to 60 year sentence for sexually

abusing 10 different boys between 1994 and 2008. now, louisiana officials are setting up a temporary bus system to try to help people in and around baton rouge whose vehicles were damaged by the flooding. fema is also now taking action. the agency has two disaster recovery centers up and running more than 30 million in federal house ago signature answer has been approved for the more than 3,000 people in shelters rights now. also republicans continue to question why president obama is on vacation and waiting until tuesday to visit the flood ravaged area. louisiana governor john bell edwards says it was his idea. >> i asked if he could wait until the response was over and we got into the recovery phase which i predicted we would do over the weekend and certainly next week would be a better time for us to visit and the president is welcome to come to our state any time he wants to.

philadelphia area is plague a big role in helping flood victims. joe holden visited the red cross today. >> reporter: in the immediate aftermath of catastrophic flooding in louisiana, images and stories are slow to trickle out. people are calling it a silent disaster one forced to compete with election coverage and olympic games. 22 and chestnut center city. >> your home was partially flooded. >> reporter: practically all they're hearing about is the flood in baton rouge and calling for assistance and help all routed here to the pennsylvania eastern red cross in philadelphia. >> when louisiana floods hit our national leadership knew we could handle these calls and so calls were immediately directed to us. >> and with that volume of phone calls, what kind of stories are they hearing in this center. there was one instance a person tried to call 911, the phone line was busy. their next call they described standing on their kitchen table

surrounded by watter. >> you can imagine if the water tros your second floor. could you imagine losing everything that you ever owned. that is the level of emotion and intensity that you hear in the calls. >> workers and volunteers were inundated and more than 10,000 calls from louisiana that's ten fold the normal call volume and controversy of which politicians have and have not visited the disaster area is not lost on these workers. most keep tabs through social media. >> she's in mississippi and she wants to donate things. >> natural disaster not since super storm sandy. >> think of all of philly being underwater. it's extraordinary. >> with workers and volunteers right here working the front lines of assistance to help those in need 1200 miles away in center city, joe holden. cbs3 eyewitness news. >> also, tonight, police are asking for the public's help in search for a gunman who is wan

wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in burlington city, new jersey. eyewitness news reporter tren doe has the latest. >> a family in morning after loving son, brother, father, mother and nephew to gunfire. >> we were all in shock when we came back here today we said it because we knew he was not going to be here. >> burlington city police say 24-year-old byron turner was shot outside his phone 1 0 0 block east federal street before 1 p.m. saturday and the father of two was not intended tarring sglet byron was laid back, always liked to have a good time. you could say something to byron, he was not the best kid. but he was far from the worst. >> police have already charged 26-year-old samuel james of burlington township with murder and weapons offense and say he's on the run. as turner's family grevz for him they also grieve for a neighborhood loss. one where a five-year-old girl

right now, storm scan 3 showing us soggy scene for end of weekend right now. heaviest of rainfall is across portions of southern new jersey and down into our shore points as well and clearing up now in flash flood warning for kent county cancelled bit national weather service. good news. there we're watching thunderstorm though that exited center city philadelphia now moving to gloucester soundsy and camden county and burlington county continuing to move eastbound watch for possibility of imbedded lightning and heavy rainfall and as i just mentioned kent county that flash flood warning since been cancelled and good news. there watch for the possibility of localized flooding as we see rainfall intensity starting to pick back up once again and couple imbedded lightning strikes and lot of lightning hitting the shore nearly continuous stretching from cape may, ocean city, good time to stay over the roads. we're seeing a cold front work its way across the eastern sea board right now. you notice that extended line of shower and thunderstorm

activity. well, behind it, not much going on. a very few residual showers and once that cold front moves through we're already starting to see winds of change picking up. winds now in western counties pulling out of northwest and that will push in drier and cooler air as we head into the next couple hours for places like poconos, dew points already dropping off and starting to feel more comfortable. still very steamy. philadelphia points south and east and by the time we wake up tomorrow morning it will feel so much better. dew points dropping off into the 50s. possibly to near 50 by late day tomorrow it will be feeling awesome. temperatures right now much better than we started and the day at high temperatures today topped 89 in philadelphia before that rain moved through and now dealing with rai rain-cooled airmany reporting sites to 73 in allentown and overnight tonight clearing sky once the rain comes to end over the next couple hours humidity gradually dropping off botto bottoming out.

how about 60s down to 69 and then tomorrow a cooler day in store topping at 83 bright sunshine and nice breezy northwesterly wind and much less humid. some futures temperatures i think you like those after 11, 90 degree days so far this month as we wake up tomorrow morning cooler start, middle 60s berks county as we head into the afternoon and high temperatures only upper 70s north and west of city and top in low 0s elsewhere and tuesday morning coolest air we felt since mid june waking up to some low potentially 50s up towards lehigh valley and low 60s in philadelphia and surrounding counties. checking in on tropics becoming much more active. we have a system to watch well out to the west coast of africa and looking potentially more organized will likely develop over next coupling days and less organized system and national hurricane center thinks this system will get the act together and this is something to you watch weather model projections taking system

ahead into next week. something to watch next week and week after. potentially could victim pact on the u.s. main land in the long term. but for tomorrow just enjoyable weather across the region and down the shore. poconos, sunshine, breezy conditions, humid, high temperature 71 degrees in the poke necessitates and nice little prefall taste and even into tuesday gorgeous conditions. high temperature 82. sunshine. wednesday looks great as well feeling great 84. we become a little more humid as we head towards end of week especially friday. could see a few thunderstorms but then it's back to nice as we head into the start of next weekend. >> sounds loverly. thank you so much, lauren, lesley has sports highlights. >> i wish i would tell you yes. phillies were gone for the series with the cardinals. he has not won a game since before all star break. this one man checking out his free gift. that's the high lest of the game for him probably.

delay. saturday night fever showing off dance moves while big screen showed clips of him from the movie. >> he has the moves. >> he definitely does. >> eagles released four players today roster is 84 they must release nine for players before august 30 and birds also reportedly signed linebacker steven took to a 9 million deal he played for jim schwartz in detroit. eagles next game is saturday against the colts doug pederson trying to figure out his offensive line. johnson lurking and isaac is at left guard this is a big week coming up with starters playing into the 3rd quarter. >> it's getting there. i think more and more reps we get through practice it's always a little different and in training camp and this is the first real week we'll have of going through scouting and things we'll be more prepared for the team we're plague. >> for them to have a full game
