5:14 am
eastern shores right now, ocean, monday mount county, kent, and new castle county. so depending where you are we are finding locally steady rain but majority of the region is going to start to clear out, as afternoon progress is here but as we scrum seven up, watching this frontal boundary pass on by there could be left over sprinkles or stray up shower or two that moves in this afternoon. we will see that pop up on future weather. meanwhile lets get to hermine. that area of low pressure is what is left of tropical depression number eight, that is swept out to sea by this front. we thought this very same front would be sweeping hermine out to sea as well and it just decided it would sit and spin in the gulf of mexico and it never got pick up. as a result it has a better chance to hug the coast and that is where we will get in on that threat for rain and wind specifically into sunday but included will begin to build from south to north on the saturday and then as we head into sunday that system
5:15 am
will be awfully close by. rain and wind become a theme for shoreline on sunday. there are question marks as to the final track regardless we are allowing for rain and wind on sunday in the meantime you have a nice day tomorrow at the shore and saturday looks good here in general. keep in mind rip current risk is an issue and will continue to be so for a couple more days at least. so typically, the way it moves to the shoreline. rip currents will pull you out, so if you are ever at the beach see a channel of choppy water that water maybe looks a different color or break in the wave pattern you could be looking at a rip current. if you ever get caught in one swim parallel to the shoreline and feel yourself get left out of it and then swim back. rip current will continue to draw you further and further out. now with that said looking ahead to the holiday weekend as a whole, it is not bad. sunday is the day that brings the best chance of win and rain from hermine and labor
5:16 am
damon looks like that storm will be moving out of our hair. we will get a chance to moderate backup to the 80's and sun will shine and it looks like tuesday and wednesday as we head back to work and school are bright, sun which highs back in the mid to upper 80's. meisha, back over to you. thank you so much. for those who are possibly just waking up with us we are talking about this for quite sometime, we will talk about it again, because it is so important that you hear it. in case you are out the door and might miss another report there justin in a little bit or from joe and brooke this morning. we have an accident involving tractor trailer and fire truck with injuries. ninety-five south between vine and columbus boulevard right now all lanes are blocked. vine eastbound, the ramp 295 south, that has just been closed down a lot of the vehicles, just to avoid this area that weren't already pinned in, were turning around and driving the opposite direction. the problem is vine was closed for overnight construction.
5:17 am
the once that had opened, so many vehicles went on the vine that it started to be very congested as well. this accident right here, good backup, when you are leading up to it now you can see we have crews out there right now that have completely shut town the road, even far surpassing what it was. now way back on i-95 forcing people to get on to the vine. again, this is very congested right now trying to get on the vine. what time is it? 5:00 o'clock, 5:15 in the morning or so? you will be sitting on the vine with all of the vehicles. for a while we had this camera zoomed around and you could see a sea of vehicles leading up to this trying to get on to the vine. there is no other place to go. heading on i-95 southbound direction anywhere between vine or around the vine i would avoid it at all cost. if you have to get out there give yourself an extra 45minimum, joe and brooke back over to you. taking a look at newspaper headlines across the area.
