looking at video from st. petersburg where flooding and whipped damage is already reported. >> we're closing watching hermine's track and what it could mean holiday weekend. >> the hurricane hunters continue to fly to hurricane hermine and they recorded winds up to 104 miles per hour. very strong hermine continues to strengthen as it is nearing land fall. there's speculation that possibly before land fall which will occur the next couple hours we could see the storm strengthen to category two system and 11:00 advisory came down from the national weather service still a category one wind at 80 miles an hour. land fall likely. big bend region of florida over the next couple hours it will weaken and ride along the east coast as we head into the day tomorrow and then become close to our region as we head into the upcoming weekend. it wail transition into a post or excuse me extra tropical system.

the labor day weekend. it was looking grate and then hermine came along and ruined it for everybody. we have a close eye on the track. hurricane hermine making land fall along the florida coastline and for us we cleared out as a cold front moved across the delaware valley and much reed needed rainfall over the past 24 hours and all is quiet if center city philadelphia. a live look right now check out the temperature. 74. feeling good. wind shifted north backed side of the cold fron and you beener in color and drier area as we speak. storm scan three showing us last of showers dissipated and clouds clearing on out and to problems throughout the overnight period. and with rain, clouds in place today, 8 19 high temperature in philadelphia. our coolest day since august 1st. yes, temperatures right now are cooling very efficiently. 67 allentown and we're down to the 50s in poconos and down to the 60s in ac now and that complements of cooler and drier air spilling in across the area

and dew points into the 50s and the lehigh valley along the i-95 corridor and muggy points south and east of city and this drier air will move south eastbound for you and overnight period. you'll wake up to much more comfortable conditions. to pick up that much needed rainfall on order of about half inch to inch in some places over the last 24 hours and pottstown close to inch and point pleasant .80" and on up the windows and great sleeping weather timely. 65 degrees overnight low. and beautiful day tomorrow. mostly sunny. less humid, 82 degrees with late-day clouds and take it all in because things go downhill as we head to the upcoming weekend and unfortunately time for made in america festival and we're keeping a close eye on the impacts of hermine could be dealing with periods of rain and gusty winds temperatures middle 70s sunday. hermine's current location right now really making starting to make landfall along the big ben region of the florida coastline south of

tallahassee. here hermine is starting to come on shore at this time as category one hurricane and will move along the coast as we head to the next several days and we have a tropical storm watch in effect for parts of our area. jersey coast and parts of delaware all throughout the weekend. so what affects we can see here along the coast potentially wind gusts to 60 miles an hour along the immediate coastline and heavy rainfall order of 3 to 5" throughout the event and high surf possibility of coastal flooding and dangerous rip current and possibility of moderate beach erosion as well. needless to say it's not going to be a great weekend down the shore. take projection of our future wind speeds and again this is one run of one particular model but it is showing us potential for sustained tropical storm force winds along the coot and we could see tropical storm gusts as far as west as the city and as far as as the lehigh valley and poconos non event for upcoming weekend and wind relax late day to labor day.
