fun ride to school for this little boy on his first day of kindergarten ends in tears, is what being done after five-year old was left on the hot school bus, for hours. well, today is thursday, september 8th, good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm natasha brown in for brooke. katie and meisha are keeping an eye on things this morning. >> good morning, happy gate the way to our weekend. i can tell you all week long it has been so busy on the roadways ever since everyone went back to work, school, i cannot even explain how busy it has been. today is no different. all this coming up in a bit. >> weather is heating up at this point. much like your roadways are. quite literally. we have storm scan, we will get to the temperatures in a second. the at least anything in the way of wet weather has had a chance to fist alloway. we have had a couple showers overnight as we anticipated and they have all moved out of here but it has left behind some damp, not just roadways but also, some damp boardwalk as we will see in some of our

camera views as show goes on but regardless heat advisory does take effect here at noon time today. that is where heat comes in and it will get very, very hot outside my friend. mid 90's expected on the thermometer itself but it will feel like the low 100s and that heat advisory now spilled over maryland border. it is southeastern, pennsylvania, philadelphia surrounding suburbs and lehigh valley and crossing the delaware river into west central new jersey and all of the state of delaware included there. those are area temperature. in the mid to low 07's. it is cooler as we go out toward immediate shore in atlantic city. trenton checks in at 69. we are on pace to heat up with no problem to 94 in philadelphia pair of eight's at the shore, so not as bad as and then we will get to the mid 80's in the mountains. this is just the beginning of what looks to be several days worth of this heat. we will tell you how long this stretch will last coming up. katie, thank you very much.

what we are looking at, is live chopper three, over an overturn tractor trailer. this is in new castle delaware. this happened around 2:00 a.m., driver of this very mangled tractor trailer has had minor injuries, he was treated on the scene, and he could see all of what you are looking at is all spilled pennies. it is overturned tractor trailer when he was carrying is just tons and tons of pennies that is all over the roadway. i-95 northbound is block at route 141, you will have to use an alternate, pulaski high waste to dew point highway is your best bet. by the way they are diverting traffic right now on to exit number 5a which is airport road. they are saying i-95 northbound will be block, completely closed until around noon. hopefully that will open up around noon time but just so you know for morning rush hour for those heading out, it will be very, very slow moving. by the way we are looking at a nap shot of where they are directing traffic and it is looking very, very slow there.

i-95 south at cottman we are heating up on i-95 a lot more to talk about in a bit. back over to you. well, new this morning philadelphia police have one suspect in custody following a violent home invasion in the the rhawnhurst section of the city. >> police believe the suspect may have robbed multiple victims. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live outside northeast detectives with details on what police now know at this point, justin. >> reporter: natasha and jim we have two crimes in 119 year-old suspect in custody and it turns out victim's sharp eyes that led to the capture and stolen items found. now looking out at video of those, of the three victims in a driveway, this all began with a home invasion to 911 around 11:00 from the 2,000 block of oakmont street in rhawnhurst where a husband and wife in their 50's told second district, and, and shot his gun into their floor.

and, prescription pills. nearby a hold up on the 7400 block of large street a 28 year-old woman robbed of her purse at gunpoint and her suspect description matched the one from the home invasion, and it was broadcast on police radio and officers chased town the teen suspect on the 2100 block of bleigh street, as he was running and tossing the stolen purse, lap top and victim's id. police soon connect both crimes. >> what we believe is that after committing the home invasion and robbery this 19 year-old saw this female, in the 7400 block of large street which is about a block away, saw her carrying a rather, and, and, she robbed, and the gun. >> reporter: now all three victims positively identified that suspect and that man who was pistol whipped was taken

back on "eyewitness news" female world war two pilot got her wish to be laid to rest at arlington national cemetery. lane harmon was one of the women's air force service pilots known as wasps. she was one of a thousand man who flew planes during world war two in non-combat missions. yesterday, her daughter terry harmon was handed the burial flag as her mother was finally given military honors at arlington national cemetery. it was sevens had this is been eligible for military honors at arlington but the army reversed policy last year. harmon family worked with congress to change the law. >> this is something that my mother worked hard to earn. >> it is not easy to ask congress to pass a law just to

temperatures, in the air anyway, and, rolls through the haze off in the distance live neighborhood network here, and i did just check on the visibility and lancaster, specifically, has under a half mile visibility. with a very light wind and now with more moisture to work with we might see patchy fog. it is exception rather than normal but it is worth mention since so many people will be traveling. the here's heat advisory that goes into effect at noon today for counties shaded in that burnt orange. the it spills over maryland border too. very good chunk of the area included here unless you reside in the farm country, mountains or resort towns at the shore. it the is just going to be hot, steamy no matter how you slice it and you'll be able to slice this with a knife it will be so humid. high of 94 eventually. that does flirt with the record and i don't think we will quite get there regardless though it is hotter then we typically find on a mid-september day.
