a new jersey appeals court has thrown out the 15 count conviction of the rutgers university student who was roommate of the tie letter clemente. court tossed bias intimidation counts against dharun ravi because of the change in state the law. it order aid new trial on the other count saying bias evidence tainted the jury's verdict. he was sentenced to probation plus 30 days in jail. clemente killed himself after being captured on a wep cam kissing another man. the search continues tonight for a shooting suspect in florence township, burlington county. police say gunman shot another person in the arm on west front street shortly before 10:00 this morning. chopper three over that scene as police searched for clues. shooting led to brief lock down of the florence township schools, they did reopen around noon. no arrests have been made in the deadly shooting in trenton. woman was shot and killed shortly after 11:00 a.m. in the 200 block of spring street, that victim's name has so far not been released nor has a description of any suspects. woman is under arrest for

allegedly leading philadelphia police on a wild pursuit in a stolen jeep, through kensington and port richmond last night. police say it all started when they tried to stop the woman from driving the wrong way down clearfield street. she allegedly drove right at them, forcing one officer to opened fire. but the chase ended in a crash on ann and richmond street. >> the operator, of the grand cherokee was driving out of control war quite sometime and officers there were not injured as well as very lucky that the lady driving that is not more severely injured as well. >> the suspect was treated at a local hospital for a hand injury, charges against that driver are pending. stolen men in other a is back in the the possession of the congress gauge beth solomon synagogue in northeast philadelphia someone was, caught on camera stealing it from the front lawn last month. synagogue tells "eyewitness news" that the young man returned it yesterday. no word if he was the one who stole it.

folcroft police officer who survived being shot seven times is heading back to work. >> reporter: officer chris dorman was honored during a 9/11 remembrance ceremony in media today. the officer dorman was among three delaware county law enforcement the officers recognized for demonstrating heroic actions in the line of duty. >> i'm glad it is timely here, ready to get back on with the formal routine and get back to work and do what i love doing. >> to see how many people support us and people see how things can drop at times it is just nice show of support from everybody. >> reporter: officer dorman was shot june 24th while responding to a call about drug activity, police arrested alleged shooter daunte brooks that same day. catholic students celebrated the school with their voices, musical performance. students lined the steps of the cathedral basilicas bishop fitzgerald welcomed back

we are following breaking news right now chopper three is over a barricade situation, on the 200 block of south millock street in cobbs creek neighborhood. police say they were forced to shoot a man who had just shot his own sister.

the suspect then ran into a home on that block where he remains, swat team is on location, a assessing the situation, our nicole brewer is heading to the scene and we will bring you a live report from nicole on "eyewitness news" at 6:00. gm is recalling more than 4 million vehicles, to fix an air bag software defect that has been link to one death. vehicles involved in that recall are all from the 2014 to 2017 model years, they include models from buick, cadillac, chevrolet and gmc. gm says in rare cases a tiny computer that controls air bag deployment can go into test mode and that prevents air bag from deploying. gm says that the defect is link to at least one death and three injuries, we have a complete list of the affect models for you at cbs philly.com. nissan is recalling over 120,000 cars and suv's after reports of break fluid leaks that resulted in fire. now this recall effects 2015

to 2017murano and 2016 through 2017 maximas equipped with intelligent cruise control. the company says it will notify owners within 60 days these repairs will be free, but if you have one of these cars they ask you to park it outside, until they can get it fixed. on the healthwatch tonight, millions of people lose limbs every year, and in accidents or due to medical conditions like diabetes or cancer. many can be fitted with prosthetic arms and legs that can be very sophisticated. health reporter stephanie stahl has more now on the new technology. >> doctors and scientists are now able to create artificial limbs, that look and work almost like the real thing. and computers are now a big part of that rehabilitation technology. >> you see someone running. >> sophisticated computer technology that allows specialists at moss rehab to analyze movement.

degrees and that record was set, just last year. it was pretty hot in september, early september, last year as well. right now still feels like triple digits in atlantic city, millville and dover. ninety-nine in philadelphia we have big change's head. tomorrow back to the 90's there is a chance for thunderstorm in the afternoon and then on sunday that front crosses the area. we may start first half of the day with a few cloud and a stray shower and then it turns less humid and monday looks nicer right around 80 with some sunshine. so take a look, it is 103. tomorrow 100. sunday, at worst 87. getting a whole lot better. tonight a stray shower or thunderstorm, anyone could produce heavy rain. we do need rain coming up next half an hour we will talk about some of those rainfall stats and they are pretty dire over the past few weeks we have not gotten much, is what not diaries upcoming forecast, sunday and monday, is looking beautiful, and cooler weather we have got that coming up as well. >> okay, i like it. >> thanks, kada appreciate it. still ahead a story that
