oh, this one will be rough, still humid now, by game time it will feel totally different, yes, we take out the humidity. still warm with the sunshine around. >> humidity, at least it can feel better. >> whole lot better than the past four days stuck in the 90s so we get stuck in the 90s, humility drops for the afternoon, already starting to see some of the changes to our far northwestern suburbs up into reading right now, lancaster, starting starting tol the drop in the humidity already. still clouds this morning, cold front that still needs to pass through our region, not producing much rain at all, just come clouds. but still warm, humid, ahead of this front. check it out. seventy-nine at the airport right now, at least we have a breeze, southwest at 13 miles per hour, but fells like 82, with the humidity. there is the temperature. anywhere from the upper 60s in the mountains, upper 70s, around the big city. wilmington, philadelphia, trenton, coming in at 77 degrees, palmyra new jersey 80 degrees at this hour, 76, in mt. holly, new jersey, there is the change, north and west, check it out. allentown, west winds, northwest wind in reading action, that's an indication

you on the story as we get more information. fifteen years after the worse attack on american soil, america pauses to remember. this near ground zero where the twin towers of the worlds trade center once stood. loved ones of 9/11 victims are gathering here this morning. they are planning additional music and readings to mark the 15th. customs include tolling bells, and the reading of the nearly 3,000 names of those killed in new york at the pentagon and near shenksville, pennsylvania. the new york city firefighters who died during the september 11 attacks are also being remembered. cardinal timothy dolan presided over a solemn memorial service at st. patrick's cathedral for the 343 firefighters, who died on that fateful day 15 years ago. >> the roman catholic cathedral filled to to capacity with federal city and state dignitaries as well as firefighters and the families every those killed. >> some of the victims families will gather in yardley, start at 8: 30, 18 of

apparently planning to crash the plane into the white house or the capitol. conversations from the flight's final minutes indicate the passengers had some idea whatever was happening, and stormed the cockpit. president obama will observe the anniversary with a moment of silence at the white house, then attends memorial service at the pentagon, the only site that doesn't have a visitor center or museum to help people learn about what happened on september 11, 2001. victim's family members are trying change that, plan in the works to build one, and a lot next to the pentagon memorial in arlington, virginia, so far the group has raised $6 million, out of the 25 million it needs to get the project off the ground. >> and our coverage continues on line. visit our remembering 9/11 page at cbsphilly.com. well, donald trump and hillary clinton putting the campaign on holds out of respect for the september 11 anniversary, both will be at ground zero today. neither is expected to make public remarks, friday, clinton gave her take on trump supporters, and wendy gillette reports it sparked quite an

we're coming in heart of the tropics right now, the tropical season september 10th, the peak of the season, so that was yesterday. we had three systems we're watching. one just to the north here over the bahamas, not much of anything, same deal around cuba, little chance to develop into anything over the next few days, so really not worried about that. those storm system. but better chance 90% chance of this storm out in the central atlantic to form over the next five days. the good news should track to the north and west and north staying out over the open waters of the atlantic. no threat to lands there. that systemment back home we have the front pushing through today. gets red evident humidity, set us up for nice start to the work week, very pleasant tomorrow, high pressure in control, sunshine, comfortable temperatures right around 80 degrees, which is close to average. tuesday same deal, nice and pleasant. the forecast high today still running above average, eight a degrees, we should be around 08 this time of year. hour by hour humidity levels drop, especially in the afternoon, so big difference later today. tonight, comfortable, clear, 62 for the city, and then

their lives that day. it will all start in about an hour, rahel? >> is under stands the american flags that flew at ground zero are now back in new york? >> reporter: that's right. and it is a very interesting story how this came about. because the flag that very iconic picture, that was taken, actually, on the afternoon, about 5:00 p.m. on september 11 of 3 new york city firefighters, hoisting relatively small flag above the rubble of the worlds trade center site, that flag actually disappeared later that evening, was not recovered for nearly 15 years, until a man who went just by the name of brian brought it into a firehouse in washington state of all places, forensic experts about a year confirming it really was the flag. then as you say, just thursday, it was put on display, behind me here at the 9/11 memorial museum. >> thank you very much for your report today.

still mug think morning, checking out the temperatures across the region from the weather watchers, everybody's pretty much mid upper 70s, even on the coast, pretty muggy right now at james' house in ocean city at 76 degrees, mostly cloudy skies. we go into delaware, seeing little bit more sunshine right now at the this house in newark, at 75 degrees, with mostly sunny conditions. and we go up little further to the north and west, up in berks county, where helen davis in mothermoten, 78, mostly cloudy skies, even though still warm, the breeze makes it feel fresh this morning. yes, we have the breeze going for thus morning. and areas in berks county right now, probably going to get in on the change and humidity already as the colds front starts to move n from west to east today see improving conditions. down at the shore, waking to up some clouds, few peaks of sunshine, so not the best start to a beach day here. live look in ocean city, at least we're dry, so some overcast skies for the next few hours, but once we hit the afternoon, the sunshine will

come out, ocean temperature water temp still 70s, lower 80s today, pretty good beach day for the second half of our sunday. rocking out the 90 agree days. yesterday we hit our 44th of the season. so may just be most amount of 09 agree days since 2010. where we had 55 days. so not going to reach that number, but still 44, that's well above the average of 23 foresees until 90 agree days. average high for today, 80. so still above that. a month from now we will be averaging upper 60s in november. up ear's, so, certainly signs of fall coming at us pretty quickly. as cooler air mass starts to build on in. we start to feel some that far change coming in later on this week. cool front still to the north and west. i mention berks county, poconos, probably starting to feel the change little bit right now. couple of showers possible in the poconos next hour or two. other than that, just some clouds, clearing out nicely western pennsylvania. a lot of sunshine coming at us later on today. dew points this tells the

story for the humidity. right now and this morning, very high in the low 70s. by noontime into the mid 60s, kinds of the threshold where it feels humid. then down to the 50's by mid to late afternoon. that's really dry air mass. specially for this time of year. it will feel good later this afternoon. shore forecast, increasing sunshine, 83 today. tomorrow and tuesday look great. mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the upper 70s. very comfortable conditions, great time of year, get away from the crowds and still pleasant weather for the next few weeks along the coals. front moves through early this morning, we get into that sunshine this afternoon. nice and quiet tonight. clear skies. very pleasant with cooler temperatures, and tomorrow, good start to the work week. check out these numbers. so yesterday, mid nine the's, today, low to mid 80s for high temperatures. so that's nice refreshing change. and then tonight, it is possible we could see some four's, some of the cooler supports, berks county, lehigh valley, maybe parts of interior south jersey, then tomorrow's temperatures, right near average. lower 80s, now, watch what

>> time for the cbs-3 pet project, carol erickson, hi, who do we have here today? >> very appropriately named dog, rahel. this is tuck. you can see, he's very formally dress the at all times, in black, with a white chest, and this is a wonderful dog. he's a retriever mix. he's probably about six to eight months old. and he's an absolute love. i'm in love with this dog. we'll tell you more about him in just a s he's wonderful,

and kind of a dog that could probably end up being somebody's emotional support dog. he is wonderful. and being 9/11 as it is and so many dogs were so instrumental in the aftermath of that. so, you know, you really have to honor our dog friends, that have helped people so much. let me show you some dogs, though, that may help you, and your family, in your lives. and this is a wonderful dog. this is cameo. she is a six month old female pit mix. she previously whiffed with dogs, she is starting to shed though because she is in so much stress from being at the shelter, through no fault of her own. she loves kids. she is just a wonderful, wonderful dog. in fact, she was an emotional support dog. so you can see, that she really needs that emotional support now. here is another dog for us. butter bean, butter bean is a five year old. i love the markings. look at the two markings on the hit, five year old pit mix, previous owner hell on hard times, surround ends, sweet dog, crate trained, house trained, she knows to

sit and stay and come here. she has lived with a family of seniors, adults, children, dogs, cats, she is ready to go. she is playful, active, affectionate, so well behaved. she wonderful. and here is a lovely lovely cat. this is prince. six year old, gray and white domestic short haired returned to the shelter because the family could no longer care for his medical needs which includes diabetes, for this reason on special diet. he's also declawed in the front but he is a cat that's ready to go home. i want to talk about first of all let's talk about tux, tux is as you can see just wonderful dog, available for adoption at the pennsylvania spca. you will be giving for how people can get ahold of tux, he is a big dog, he is would like a yard to run around in, but wants to liver in the house with a family, little bit shy. but that's one of the reasons. >> and he loves a belly scratch. >> he'll be getting into that. and it is one of the things, you know,'s puppy, he needs training. talking about training. you know, with the search and

rescue dogs from 9/11, highly trained. you and your dog, may never be capable of that level of training. but, most dogs, in fact, basically dogs should have training. and that's because that's their language. that's their language, if somebody finds that dog, your dog, and they say sit, they'll go hum, this is a dog that gets it. it is one of the basic commands. sit, stay, come here, also, to me, if the dog is in a stressful situation, you train them to come to me. not in a angry way, because negative reinforcement isn't going to work. yelling and screaming and hitting doesn't work. if you yell at your kids and hit them when they get there, they're never going to come back. >> so maybe some positive reinforcement. >> like this, when the cameras were moving around this morning sitting here, like i said there is little popsie a little bit shy. i started giving little treat. all the sudden, hey cameras, start moving, i like there is this is is good for me. that's what i want to do. we have wonderful resource, and it is laura garber, ahead
