good morning, everyone, we are starting our work week off on pretty soggy note, very sluggish frontal boundary makes its passage. one of the pros and cons kind of situations where we're starting the day off with pretty soggy conditions obviously, but monday morning, just get out the door and get your week started here. mother nature not really helping matters. i would highly suggest the umbrella on day like this, pretty decent rainfall intensity out of this particular batch of heavy rain. this is casino every with us any time today. see that there is some breaks on the radar. that is what it will look like throughout the day. this isn't going to be just a wall of rain that moves through our area necessarily. rather, pockets of locally heavy rain, and some thunderstorms, that certainly is evident even right now. but this is a three hour loop. and there is not a heck of a lot of movement on this little line here.
4:55 am
so, you're going to be stuck in the really heavy rain for potentially an hour, before that one pocket may completely clear the region. and again, this will be off and on throughout the day. that's why i highly suggest having some kind of rain gear for you. as the week progresses we do expect not only will we seeing the humidity drop, but temperature climb. officially kick starting the season of fall at least astronomerly speaking on thursday, and we will be in the mid eight #'s for it. little above average. still sunshine, low humidity, definitely nice things to look forward to. >> absolutely. well, in the worlds of travel this morning, guys, heads up on this. we have an accident on the schuylkill eastbound past university ave. blocking both lanes now. what we were just seeing when this camera shot went little bit a ways back, getting more after birds eye shot, the traffic was pretty substantial. slow downs pretty substantial. coming up in the next ten minutes, a back upshot for this. give yourself extra time. again, the schuylkill eastbound past university ave. that right lane only was blocked, now, all lanes are blocked, trying to get that cleared out of your way.
4:56 am
also because of the explosion in new jersey overnight, amtrak northeast corridor service suspends in the elizabeth also new jersey transit, north jersey coats line also suspended between the newark airport, a lot more coming up in about ten minutes. back to you. >> police officer finds himself in the right place at the right time. >> and it all happened during a baseball game yesterday in san francisco. take a look, the officer was standing in the crowd when a foul baum came screaching toward him. he took off his hat and caught it. pretty cool. best thing the officer gave that foul ball to a child in the stands. good for him. >> he made that child's day. >> exactly. >> and coming up in the next half hour of cbs-3 "eyewitness news", big fuel shortage. >> tell you the reason five states are dealing with long lines and high prices at the pump. >> plus, tragedy after a high school football team's bus crashes. what's believed to have caused the wreck. back at the top of the hour.

that's a suspicious device exploding at a train station in north jersey. we're live with breaking details, including the impact it could have on the morning commute. and this morning's explosion comes less than two days after pipe bomb blew up down the shore. right before thousands of runners were set to pass by. the theory police are now looking into. >> make sure to grab your umbrella before you leave this morning. showers are headed our way, katie will tell us the times we can expect to see them. good morning, everyone, today is monday, september 19. i'm jim donovan. >> i'm rahel solomon. brooke thomas is off this morning. katie and prior a keeping an eye on things this morning, and a muggy monday morning. >> certainly. good morning. >> but how are the roads? that's the main question as we head out. >> yes, really busy on this
