shooting. good evening, i'm jessica dean. >> i'm nicole brewer. ukee washington is on assignment. now, tonight's protests over the shooting of keith lamont hill began way peaceful vigil but turned violent. police in riot gear fired tear gas at protesters. investigators say the man critically wounded during the protest was shot by another civilian and not by authorities. protesters are demanding justice for hill. who was shot to death by police in a parking lot on tuesday. investigators say hill was armed and ignored commands to drop weapons. scott's family says the father of seven had a book in his hasn't it's not a weapon. let's take you to a live picture from charlotte. police and protesters continue to face off. the family of entrance crutcher an unarm african-american man killed by a tulsa oklahoma police officer is demanding justice. officer's attorney says she was afraid crutcher was reaching for a weapon when she opened fire

last friday. but crutcher's family says his window was roland up making it unlikely he was reaching into the car. a violent police officer remains hospitalized tonight after stabbed in the face and head while responding to a call. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live in vineland with an update on that officer's condition's david? >> reporter: jessica, this is a very troubling story. we don't know the officer's name. we know that vineland police officer is behind me recovering at this vineland hospital. he went under surgery several hours ago. we're told he is expected to be ok. again, authorities not releasing the name. this is the warrant for 26-year-old johnny flores. chopper 3 was over the scene 2:30 this afternoon when it all happened on south valley street. jessica this was just a welfare check. a police officer from vineland and another person with the city of vineland checking on the welfare at this home. we're told then they got into a fight with johnny flores.

that's when they say he started stabbing the police officer several times in the face and neck area. that police officer had to be rushed to the hospital. there was another officer on scene who had some minor injuries. that officer taken to the hospital too. i did speak to a neighbor who lives just two, three doors down. who watched everything unfold from his driveway. >> the fact that he did that is shocking. i'm pressure everybody around here is baffled. that's an extreme length to go to. everybody, everyone around here, i know they've been turning their head. seen the police cars. we're wondering what's going on. >> the cumberland county prosecutor's office is charging 26-year-old johnny flores with several charge, attempted murder of a police officer. authorities are not releasing the name of the police officer, we're expected to find out more tomorrow. reporting live in vineland david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news." a barricade situation in

philadelphia's frankford neighborhood end safely with a suspect in custody. "eyewitness news" in the 1600 block of pratt street. the suspect hold up in a home there. police were able to gain entry and take that suspect in custody. police think he may have been connected to a shooting that happen around 5:30 near at the frankford tropical depression center. a man in his 20's shot multi-times. a surprising admission from congressman anthony wiener where he exchanged withes with a teenager girl. he tells the associated press reports of his interaction reports are facilities and that the teen recanted the story, the british it has been lloyd's published an interview with the girl who said she and winner exchanged videos several months. new developments in the terrorists bombings in new york city and at the jersey shore.

the chairman of the house hoax land securedth security held up a copy of of a bloody page of bombing suspect ahmad khan rahami during a hearing on domestic terror. he talks about the sound of bombs in the street, gunshots for police and deaths to oppression. rahami is now facing at least ten federal charges including use of a weapon of mass destruction and bombing of public place. >> in the near future, it is our intention to bring the defendant to federal district court for the southern district of new york, which has jurisdiction over theman neighborhood where more than 30 innocent people were wounded and countless others were grateful endangered by his bombs. the fbi is asking for the public's help tonight to track down these two men in connection with the bombings. authorities say they removed an unexploded pressure cooker from a piece of luggage saturday just a few blocks from where the other bomb detonated in chelsea. the men took the suitcase and authorities want it back for evidence. we're hearing tonight from

one of the victims of friday's shooting rampage in west philadelphia. marty washington was one of six victims including two police officers shot during the attack on sansom street. he was shot twice in the leg and side while working security at a allentown. he and a bartender are out of the hospital. so are two police officers, washington typically fears for his wife when it comes to gun violence, she's also a philadelphia police officer. >> why wouldn't i be scared for her? when it happened on the other foot, she feels the swaim. >> after shooting into the bar, police say suspect nicholas glenn fired into a car on the street injuring a man and killing a woman. glenn was eventually corner and shot to death by police. a woman takes action after witnessing an outrageous act by a father at a wal-mart store in texas. >> police said they couldn't do anything, she turned to social media and ignite add fire storm. >> he's a sick, sick, sick,
