"eyewitness news" was right on the 600 block of bailey road where we are still gathering information but we're told victim was discover outside a home on that block. we have learn that philadelphia police are involved in the investigation, as they have been following an apparent blood trail, and nearby cobbs creek section of the city. we will stay on top of this and bring you an update as soon as we learn more. also overnight the a robbery at a main line convenient store send a clerk to the hospital, lower merion police were called out to the 7-eleven at city line and

haverford avenues at around 1:00 this morning. police say clerk was assaulted and suffered a head injury, but there is in word on his condition. 7-eleven is now closed while police investigate. scary day on the job for two vineland police officers. >> officers say they were attack while responding to a call and one was stab several times. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live outside the hospital in vineland where that officer is recovering, jan. >> brooke and jim what a day indeed, one of those officers has already been treated and released and as you mentioned the other one is in the hospital recovering today after being stabbed multiple times in this area. we're told that the officer is in stable condition. in the meantime suspect is under arrest and currently being held on $500,000.01, but take a look at this video where it all went down yesterday. this is chopper three over the scene on the 700 block of south valley avenue in vineland around 2:30 p.m. police were asked to assist

new jersey department of human services workers on a welfare check and when they arrived they found family members with the man they were supposed to check on. twenty-six year-old johnny flores but soon after investigators say there was a struggle between flores and cops, two officers were injured including one that was stabbed a number of times in the face and the head, flores was eventually sub dude and then taken into custody to the hospital for treatment, all of the while stunned neighbors watched as police responded to this usually quiet neighborhood. >> the fact that he did that it is shocking. i'm pretty sure everybody around here is baffled, and i mean that is annex stream length to go to and i mean everybody, everyone around here they have all been turning their heads, they have seen police cars and we're all wondering what is really going on and new we know. >> reporter: police have not yet released the name of the officers injured and in the hospital. we're told that the officer underwent surgery yesterday, again, we are expecting that

the officer will survive, in the meantime flores is facing charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault. we are reporting live from vineland this morning, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now back inside to you. police say a man is in custody following a standoff at philadelphia's frankford section. they say that the suspect barricaded himself inside a home on the 1600 block of pratt street last night. eventually police say they were able to get inside and take the man into custody. police say they believe he may be connect to the shooting that happened earlier in the night near frankford transportation center. that is where they say a man in his 20's was shot, several times. well, breaking news this morning a second night of unrest in charlotte, north carolina led to the governor declaring a state of emergency. >> officials say one person was shot and is in the hospital after protests over a police shooting turned violent. don champion is in charlotte this morning and joins us live, don.

>> reporter: good morning, brooke and jim. driving around this part of the charlotte which is essentially downtown section the aftermath of that second night of violence is clear. take a look behind me you you cane this this store here was just ransack last night, the glass out front, shattered, merchandise just every where here, and even at this hour, here we are seeing heavily armed officers, standing guard trying to maintain order. the chaos this charlotte stretched well into the overnight hours as protesters faced off with heavily armed officers. tear gas, filled the eras at least one flash exploded. as officers, cleared the street. the scene played out in anger over deadly police shooting of keith to the spilled out on the street for a second night. some demonstrators were arrested peacefully but damage to businesses and stores in

hospital with injuries, as well. we also know that four officers were treated for minor injuries here, there could be a big development in the day ahead in terms of the video of the shooting on tuesday, last night, the city did confirm that the mayor here, will be viewing dash camera video from the shooting, it is unclear if it will be released after that but certainly jim and brooke, calls for more transparency in this case, are going louder this morning. >> thanks, don. meanwhile in other news family of the terence croucher an unarmed african-american man killed by a tulsa, oklahoma police officer is also demanding justice. the attorney for officer betty shelby said she was afraid croucher was reaching for a weapon when she opened fire last friday. but croucher as family says his window was rolled up, making it unlikely he was reaching into the car. fbi is looking for two men who may have been inadvertently walk away with important evidence connect to

the bombings in new york and in new jersey. fbi released this photo wednesday they say these men found a suitcase containing an unexploded pressure cooker just a few blocks from where the other bomb went off in chelsea sat the day. authorities say the men took the suitcase and left pressure cooker behind and they want that suitcase back for evidence. the feds say the men are not suspects. in other news this morning a second woman is charged with hindering the investigation into that fatal shooting of the child in camden. police say natasha gerald provided a false alibi for a person of interest in the death of eight year-old gabriel carter. another woman was a rested last week on the same charge, now carter was shot as you may recall near her home on south eighth street last month. there is still a $76,000 reward for information leading police to her killer. still ahead, we will tell you what is causing a major power outage in puerto rico affecting millions of people. sudden closure at fink's hoagies on jewelers row.

a hoagie shop closes claiming it need get quote better employees. fink's hoagies closed its center city location a week ago. sign says new hires must be exceptionally clean, fast and always on time. and it also says they need ability to read and understand the menu and be drug tree. the abrupt closure was a surprise to their landlord, joseph one fill ohio. >> not only was i advised but everybody who comes around looking for a sandwich has been surprised, too. the turnout is pretty enormous for this kind of a shop. it is little will.

fan of the summertime heat we have you covered for another day even though it is beginning of the fall season but those looking forward to the crisp air, boots type of weather, that is coming up in the forecast as well. let me show you storm scan. we are taking a wider zoom to show you moisture still circulating around virginia and north caroline, brought the in flooding to these area. this is remnant moisture from julia, if you can believe it, still hanging on but regardless it is clear, high pressure still in place but off to the south. we have that moisture. we have a handfull of clouds as a result, in our area but we don't to have worry about wet weather. high pressure still hanging on by a thread. there will be a cold front that crosses through. don't worry that it will look like this. heavy rain falling in wisconsin for example. we are going to generally see this front coming through try. so, jump you tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. when we will see activity in the far northern counties, in northeastern, pennsylvania. i generally think again mostly we're staying dry but notice
