businesses damaged and looted. two officers and nine civilian where is injured, a civilian was shot in the head and is now fighting for his life. but it is not clear who shot him. >> we're reviewing video and we're assessing our people there as well because of the allegation was made that one of our officers might have been involved. >> reporter: violence, followed tuesday's fatal police shooting of keith the scott the a four three-year old black man whom officers say refused to put down his gun. the scott's family and witnesses say he was holding a book. police say they will show body camera video of the incident to scott's family but, even after several nights of violence, and even property damage, they have ruled out, a public release. their attorneys say that the scott family is urging calm. >> this family does not, does not agree with rioting, or innocent individuals, being injured or killed but they do support citizens and their

right to voice their frustration. >> reporter: city says that it is ready. kenneth craig for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and we have some break news in another high profile case, prosecutors in tulsa, oklahoma have charged a white police office shore fatally shot an unarmed black man with first degree manslaughter. officers betty shelby shot and killed 40 year-old terence croucher on september 16th. video of the shooting shows croucher walking away with shelby with his arms in the air. wife of the accused new york and new jersey bombing suspect is back, in the united states, sources tell cbs news that he arrived from due buy and had been cooperating with investigators. federal authorities say her husband kahn ra ham may have practiced before carrying out those attacks. he allegedly detonated an explosive device in the backyard of the elizabeth new jersey home two days before the the explosions in new york

city and seaside park, new jersey. train lines are rowing after new jersey transit, temporarily suspended rail services this morning over discovery of a suspicious package. an overs reportedly found an unattended pair of shoes with what appeared to be wires attached to them. the ridge wood station was evacuated so bomb squad could evaluate those items. they gave an all clear an hour later. is there an alert to yahoo users. if you have area hugh account you need to change your pass war. the company says that hackers have accessed 500 million accounts, the data bleach dates back to 2014 and it includes stolen user names, telephone numbers, even birthdays of the account holders. yahoo is recommending that users change their pass word now if they have not done so in the the last two years. authorities have identified a person of interest, in the murder of a yeadon woman, thinks person of interest right here on your screen, mark epps of philadelphia. police want to talk to him in connection with the murder of three two-year old natasha

gibson. she was found on the sidewalk on bailey road in yeadon overnight after failing to show up at a friend's house. her throat had been slashed. our joe holden will have much more in a live report tonight on "eyewitness news" at 6:00. police say a driver who was under the influence is in custody in connection with a hit and run in north philadelphia. >> the victim was rush to the hospital, after being struck near second and allegheny in the fair hill neighborhood, "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan spoke with the good samaritan who saw it unfold and decided to take action, cleve. >> reporter: witnesses at this intersection, described saying a pedestrian struck put in the air, driver who didn't care and some good smart tans who stepped up to help police and i did speak with one of those men. >> at first it was hurting with the adrenaline. >> reporter: john molinari says his cuts and bruises are hardly anything compared to what he witnessed this morning near intersection of second anal gain any fair hill around 11:20 when a car violently struck a pedestrian. >> i heard boom, and i looked

up and seen body flying in the air and across, and then he hit the ground face first and then he slid like almost like 2 feet from my car. >> reporter: molinari says his first priority was to check the victim but that quickly changed. >> i jumped out to see if i can help the guy but i saw him took off. i jumped back in my car and i felt around and chased him down and i was beeping, he wouldn't stop. >> reporter: philadelphia police say driver was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol within two blocks he went up on the sidewalk, and then backed across the street and smashed into a car. molinari says he and two other men wrestled with the suspect and almost got run over in the the process. >> car door hit me, i fell under, my hand are all cut up and then finally got the keys out, and we held him. >> reporter: suspect was placed under a rest and victim taken to temple hospital in critical condition. several witnesses who didn't want to speak on camera gave matching account about the collision and hit and run

suspect taunting momentarily before speeding off. why did you get involved. >> just seemed like the right thing to do, he would have got away. >> reporter: philadelphia police have not the released the name of the driver, they say that charges are pending, and the victim remains at temple university hospital, and it was what they described as seriously critical conditions. reporting live from fair hill, cleve bryan, for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". we have some breaking news, to share with you, chopper three is live over route 422 eastbound in limerick, where a three pedestrians have been struck. you can see several vehicles with damage there. this is near lynn field road exit. authorities are trying to get a medical helicopter to that scene but we are told a drone in the areas preventing that. there was a loose dog on the highway, it is unclear if that is why there were people on the roadway. the both side of the 422 in that area are now closed, we are working to get you information on this developing story. of course we will update you as soon as we have it. lets talk about weather.

fall has arrived but we are enjoying warmer temperatures. the meteorologist kate bilo is outside on the skies deck to tell us what to expect for the rest of the night, kate. >> jessica, let's just say regretting a suede dress this evening. it is hot. humidity is not bad. dew points are low. but temperatures more than 10 degrees above average today for this time of the year but that is not going to last. if you are waiting for cool crisp fall weather get ready for a beautiful weekend. lets start off with what is happening right now not a whole lot of cloud cover today, system off to the south has largely stayed off to the south, just a few showers, over extreme southern delaware and you can see a cold front extend ago cross the great lakes, that is front that will strip through here tomorrow evening and that will be our change maker. in the meantime fall has begun, it started at 10:21 this morning. our high today is 87. average is only 76, but we're in where near a record. record is 97 setback in 1885. temperatures 86 at the airport.

>> reporter: that thought is top of mind he says, every time, he makes a drop. the dc-10 air tanker isn't exclusive to fighting fires, in the western united states, and his plane has helped battle fires as far away as australia. and turning now to other news, record setting rainfall is causing flash flooding in the midwest, take a look, areas of minnesota have received as much as 13 inches of heavy rain over the past two days causing several school districts to close today. now drivers have been told to avoid taking on the flooded streets, and a portion of the high waste 35 in wisconsin was closed, due to mud slides. we will try to get thaw video but for now it looks like a terrible situation out there in wisconsin. for more on that we are joined by lovely kate bilo, thankfully we are not dealing with anything like that back here at home. >> no, we are not. that will come through for us but not going to produce anything that they saw in the midwest which is knock down temperatures as we head in the

weekend. that is good. we need more rain. we had a drencher on monday but not much in the forecast, which is good news for those planning a weekend, those heading to the eagles game getting ready to do tailgating and get outside on this first weekend of fall, maybe pick up mums, decorations on the front porch it is a great week toned do just that. in the meantime we're sweating. the lets look outside, we will take you down the shore where it is turning out to be a nice beach day. earlier we were dealing with cloud cover down the shore but you can see now things are hazy, but hot and sunny, pretty nice weather, folks on the beach and ocean city beach is crowded, people making up beach time that they may have missed out on this week with a lot of cloud cover in place thanks to the system off to the south. it has been a warm day across the region, take a look at our highs so far today, 87 so far in philadelphia, we have got to 87 in allentown. eighty-six the high so far in wilmington and 81 in atlantic city. the mount pocono at 76. this just caps off a very warm

summer, as we look at stats we will break down summer first and foremost. june we had five days in the 90's. highest was 92 degrees. july, 16 days in the 90's. high 97. august is when we sweat it out, 17, 90-degree days, hottest was 98. we had four so far here in september with the hottest being 95. now, we are on track to make it three months in a roast of top ten warmth, july was the seventh warmest, ever on record here in philadelphia. august was actually the number one warmest, ever on record, that dates back to 1874 when record started being kept here and in september, now we're on track for top ten warmth only one day this month so far has been below average but that is about to change as we head toward your weekend. temperatures right now falling just slightly off their daytime highs at 86 currently in philadelphia 86 in allentown. seventy-eight in atlantic city. 83 degrees in trenton. storm scan three shows a couple showers off to the south and we had a few over southern sussex county this morning but those have fizzled

and push southward. here is our next system this front across the great lakes, that is coming through, generally dry tomorrow evening, and then that will be our change maker. overnight mainly clear skies, tomorrow morning starts off with sunshine. here's the front notice tomorrow around 7:00 p.m. a stray shower possibly a thunderstorm in the poconos or lehigh valley but then, watch how this fizzled out as we hit into saturday morning. good deal of sunshine. that will be the case through the day as we tap into the cooler air, this little cool pocket of air that will not impact deep south, mid south, midwest, we will get benefits here in the northeast. philadelphia and points on north with that cool, fall pattern that will take news to sunday and monday as well. so overnight we will drop down to 65 degrees, mainly clear and mild. tomorrow, down right hot for the time of the year, 87, more humid, we will continue to rack up the warmth that will make it a top ten warmest september. as we head into you're witness heat per day forecast we will finally get that cool day, it will be breezy saturday but

assignment. hi everyone i'm jessica dean. news of the divorce dominated headlines and now there are new questions about the couple's relationship. the insider louie agear joins us from los angeles with more, louie. >> reporter: tonight we will go inside disturbing new twist in the split, is brad under investigation for child abuse? >> i beat the my kid regularly. it seems to do the trick. >> reporter: probably wishing he could take back that off colored joke from 2011, today reports surface brad is under investigation for allegedly being physically and verbally abusive with his child. >> the alleged incident occurred on september 14th, on a private plane that brad and angelina, we believe all of their children, and probably several other people were traveling on, back to los angeles. the complaint allegedly says that brad had some form of physical contact with at least one of his children. it is not clear which child.

storage facility. the public storage office on grant avenue was broken in to last week. two men used a u-haul truck to smash through front of the building completely shattering glass doors. the it is unknown how much suspect stole but burglary has customers concern. >> i was outraged. i was like, you know, never seen anything like this happening, especially in this area, this location, this location is a very nice, safe area, you know, something like this was going to happen. >> anyone with any information should call northeast detectives. well, it was a very close call for a truck driver hauling dozens of propane tanks in towamencin this morning. the cab of the truck burst into flames near allentown road and 40-foot rode around 8:30. authorities evacuated several homes and businesses, including a day care center in that area until the fire could be placed under control. the good news in this no one was hurt. man is recovering in

temple hospital's burn unit after someone set fire to the car he was inside. this is periscope video obtained by "eyewitness news". it happened on the 2300 block of cleveland street early this morning. that victim escaped with burns on his body, and, windows across the street were blown out. neighbors say the blast knocked them out of bed. it was a koran fire, fire truck just gotten in, whole car was on fire, what we kept hearing was boom, boom. >> and pop, pop, pop, pop. >> and then it made me get up. >> we came outside car was on fire, it just started exploding, and exploding. >> no word on the victim's condition and police have made no arrests. search continues tonight for three suspects wanted in the armed robberies of three pharmacies, in our area. fbi says most recent robbery happened at health plus pharmacy in upper darby september 12th. the suspects are accused of robbing springfield pharmacy in springfield township in august and a rite aide

pharmacy in claymont delaware in july. you are asked to reach out to authorities if you recognize those suspects. >> on the first day of fall, doctors are reminding patients that it is time to get an annual flu shot. >> this year is there a new recommendation for governmental health officials. health reporter stephanie stahl is in the einstein health care center with the updated information. >> reporter: the science of flu vaccination is evolving, the inhaled version didn't work out as planned, so this year you'll have fewer options, when it comes to guarding against influenza. >> a yearly flu vaccine is recommended for everyone six months and older. >> now it is perfect time to consider getting a flu shot. it takes a couple weeks to build immunity. flu season generally begins around october. peaks around december, through march, and it can go up as far as may. >> reporter: this year it is back to needs also only, cdc
