>> jim: back for the last 2 minutes here as bill belichick is just 2 minutes away from getting the ninth shutout of his time in new england. where do these two teams go from here? so early in the season. you can't make crazy predictions about what this is going to do for the rest of the season for a squad, but how does it affect them? >> phil: when you lose like this, they'll recover, jim. they'll get back and go back to work and realize it's just one game. and we see teams changed dramatically every year from the start of the year to the middle. the nfl season, i always say, even when i played, it's like four seasons. you've got to hang in there and see what your team develops into. and you lways hope at the right time of year it just clicks, the chemistry, the health, playmaking, all of it just clicks. that's how you win a super bowl.

manslaughter less than a week after she killed an unarmed blackmail. a police helicopter and a dash cam captured the shooting on video. crutcher was unarmed when walking to his car with his hands up when he was shot. crutcher's family called the charge against the officer a small victory. we are pleased to learn that the officer who senselessly killed my beloved twin brother will face criminal charges for her reckless act. we understand that nothing will bring him back. if convicted officer shell bifaces a minimum of four years in prison. > a curfew went into effect at midnight in charlotte. protestors there again took to the streets tonight following the fatal police shooting of a black man. so far police have resisted releasing video of the death of 43 year old keith lamont scott earlier this week. tonight's protests were largely pieceful. there was a much more large police presence and the national guard was on under that as well.

> protests against police violence has not only taken in the streets, philadelphia malcolm jenkins is one of the latest nfl players joining the cause. jenkins is quoted in a new time magazine article about players' protest. 49s colin kaepernick who led the way when he took a knee during the national anthem is featured on the headline with pearlless fight. jack bell had the chance to talk with malcolm about all kinds ever things. it's been an odd week for jenkins. he and his three teammates protested during monday night football. some fans were supportive, some others were outraged. i deciding to go one on one to speak directly with you and explain his position. the biggest reason for the protest for me is to force this conversation on people. it's to a point where now it has to be had and there is no other

option in my eyes. and so a lot of people say, you know, well, why do it for the anthem or do it some other way. the truth about that is we've done it other ways. whether it be through interviews, on social media, in the community and that gives people an opportunity to ignore it. if it's not affecting you, you'll ignore it. and the one thing that everybody loves is this football field, this nation, this country we have a lot of pride in it and so when you do something during the anthem, it forces everybody to address it. itreally don't understand the anti-military claims. nothing that anybody has said protested across the league has ever mentioned anything about the military. i can understand why people because of the national anthem. people should say you honor those who sacrifice for those

definitely 35 year old mark absence of south ma coat street in philadelphia was that person of interest. he was recently release from prison overnight and his girlfriend 32 year old in a tasha gibson was found dead in the 600 block of bailee road. she had been beaten and her throat slashed. gibson was trying to flee an abusive relationship and investigates say they are confident he killed her. we believe he was making some threats against the victim within the last month or so. she was fearful for her safety because of this individual. > police tracted a blood trail from the scene into southwest philadelphia. they've recovered gibson's purse and the' ledged murder weapon, a knife. the blood trail ended where they believe he popped onto sub transportation. a. eyewitness news at second anal gain i at fair hill around 11:20 this morning a car there struck

this man, dough minute could he mendez, the car sped away, went up on the sidewalk, backed across the street and smashed into a car. we spoke with mendezance daughter who spoke with good samaritan who had to restrain the suspect until the police arrived. he flew from there up and i seen him land. i told the bus driver let me off. when i got there, it was my father. the car door hit me, i fell under. i messed my knee all up. my hands were all cut up. then we finally got the keys out and we held him until the cops game. > we he underwent surgery at tell t many university hospital. he says more surgeries are ahead for him. > two men are in the hospital after being h hit on route 42 t limb rick montgomery county. chopper 3 over that scene. several vehicle also there were damaged.
