philadelphia temperatures are on the cool side thanks to the increase in cloud this afternoon, we are at 66 in reading. sixty-eight in allentown. sixty-eight in mount pocono. seventy-one in philadelphia storm scan three shows us the cloud moving in, and showers and thunderstorms are already started rolling through. speaking of le tobin pittsburgh that is where showers and storms are right now, moving toward the state college area as we speak and then by later tonight, as soon as ten or 11 we will see showers and storms arrive in our region. so showers arrive between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. in the poconos or lehigh valley pick up rain wye ten. here in the city, it is closer to the ladder edge, probably around midnight, showers arrive but steady rain between first 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. we may wake up to thunder outside as those showers role through. then after 6:00 tomorrow morning showers taper from west to east, we will clear it out, tomorrow afternoon, and in most of the area down the shore showers and storms may hang on. this is just part one of the

unsettled pattern that will take us through end of the week. we have a upper level low pressure system that will dive south, especially thursday through saturday, and just sit and not really move much at all pulling moisture from the atlantic ocean and bringing chance for showers really at anytime. 80 percent chance of rain overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, wednesday evening another chance for showers and some rain, thursday into friday as well and we have to keep an eye on the tropics. we have a 90 percent chance of development on this system heading toward lesser antilles this would be matthew and we will keep you posted on. that showers late, it will be mild, 63 degrees, tomorrow showers in the morning and then afternoon looks pretty nice, 74, seasonal day, you're witness weather three day forecast, that upper level low is really going to impact everything this week, wednesday, start with sun, cloud role in, showers wednesday evening, and thursday morning looks like some of the steady rain and then we will take you in the weekend watch coming up in a bit and see that some of that may linger even into the upcoming weekend.

closer look at that week even. things may finally clear out, for now, back inside to you. on the healthwatch tonight morning sickness it is something that pregnant woman dread and strikes millions. new research out to daze says that it might be a good thing. stephanie stahl is here to explain. i know a lot of women and men probably want to hear about this. >> reporter: i know, because people hoff it suffer so much but then there is really it is interesting there is a good reason for it. thinks being described as one of the best studies yet on morning sickness. and the results show it could be actually protecting the pregnancy. allison flores is seven months pregnant and feeling great but early on the morning sickness was unbearable. >> it was all take every day. in the middle of the night, morning. >> reporter: new study from the national institutes of health find pregnant woman who suffer with morning sickness have lower risk of miscarriage. researchers followed 800 women and found those who reported nausea or vomiting while pregnant were 50 to 75 percent

less likely to suffer a loss. >> benefit of this study is now you we can tell patient that is there is evidence for this that they are not feeling miserable for no good reason. progressing. >> cause of the morning sickness is not yet known but researchers say it the protects unborn babe a begins toxins and organismness food and drinks that can cause disease. doctors say though women can still have healthy pregnancies without morning sickness. >> real important step forward so we can understand more about pregnancy, early pregnancy. >> reporter: flores says study is reassuring because being a first time mom can be scary. >> it is just that i'm relieved, i worried about what it meant and side effects of any medications i would have to take. >> pregnant women in this study had already had at least one miscarriage. researchers say it is unclear if the results would apply to women with first time pregnancies but this is something that is encouraging
