plans, "eyewitness news" at 6:00 starts right now. it involves you, sir, doesn't it. >> have a nice day i. >> do you admit to these allegations? we begin at 6:00 with an "eyewitness news" exclusive, tough questions for the executive director of the philadelphia parking authority, as he faces sexual harassment allegations. tonight, new revelations in the p pa scandal. good evening, i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. our joe holden was only report shore confronted vince fenderty about those accusations, and, joe joins us live from p pa headquarters in center city with more, hi there, joe. >> reporter: jessica and ukee, good evening. there are major developments here at p pa just within the last few hours. today started with the board, supporting, vince finnerty and then just within, say about two to three hours ago, it was discovered that a second complaint of sexual harassment

surfaced, the board then reversed course and it is now expected to vince fenderty will be fired on thursday. can we talk to you, sir. >> reporter: in this exclusive video parking authority vince finnerty now accused of sexually harassing two employees, wouldn't take our questions. can we talk to you about this? >> no statement. >> reporter: we want to talk to you about it. this involves you, sir, doesn't it. >> have a nice day. >> reporter: do you admit to these allegations? he has come under fire after it was disclosed last week, that he had harassment a female emily more than a year ago. this is according to an internal investigation launched by the board. joseph ashdailys chairman. >> appropriate safeguards were immediately implemented to ensure the employee had no interaction with mr. finnerty. >> reporter: at 10:00 o'clock tuesday morning the board was standing by finnerty despite calling his conduct grave and severe. >> thirty-two years of employment with no other

discipline incidents led us to determine that termination was not appropriate. >> reporter: finnerty was permitted to keep his $220,000 a year job, we're told he was strictly limited on who he could have contact with, at the office. he also picked up the $30,000 tab, for that internal investigation. >> it is standard. >> reporter: backlash from the public was swift, with board members taking a beating. >> it burns me up that this man can make $223,000, i think it is i am more willal, the guy should be outside on the street. >> mr. finnerty is an embarrassment to the city and should step down effective immediately. >> reporter: other parking authority officials also declined to answer our questions. do you have any reaction to the public comment about people being fed up about this. >> no comment. >> reporter: i'm sorry. >> you have to shut the door. >> reporter: tonight it is the public harshly criticizing p pa on why it chose to close

tonight. coming up on the "cbs evening news" jericka duncan talks with voters here in philadelphia, about whether the debate suede their opinions, heading in to this election. that is tonight on the cbs evening knew at 6:30 right after we sign off on "eyewitness news" at 6:00. captured on camera philadelphia police are looking for a robbery suspect who uses an unusual weapon holding a large two-by-four in his hand as suspect covers his face with the blue mask as he entered the 7/11 store on east luzerne street. man was able to break in the register and steel an unknown amount of money. fortunately no one was injured. police believe the same man is responsible for robbing a 7-eleven store on aramingo avenue again using a two-by-four. if you have any information, please contact the philadelphia police department. well, tonight there is a big push to save that historic camden county home from demolition. >> it stand president in middle of a middle highway construction project. plans to save this piece of the past. >> it is tearing me in pieces. >> reporter: perched on the hill in timber creek in bellmawr the hug harrison glover house is in the way of the next phase of the massive interchange project at route 42 an i295. >> thinks an extremely significant property in south jersey for american revolutionary war hero. >> reporter: built in 1721 and expanded in 1764 the house belonged to war captain william harrison. the historians say american soldiers twice for the british and mercies there. since 1920's, they have used the house as an office for st. mary's cemetery. many people in bellmawr just became aware of the house two years ago when surrounding trees were cut down for height way project. now is there an effort to save it. >> we would like to see it, preserved, moved to a new location where it is history can be displayed. >> reporter: grass roots movement aided by donald norcross is asking federal

lasalle university is making it more affordable to get an education there. >> school announced that it plans to cut under graduate tuition by 29 percent, beginning next year, lasalle tuition will drop from a little more than $40,000 to just under $29,000 a year. that is the price under grads pay for tuition back in 2008. some students we talk to say the move falls in line with the university's mission. >> i think it is really important and send a message to the people of philadelphia and people who are looking at, all of the schools, in the surrounding area which we have a huge amount of schools, you know, it is showing people that, you know, we're different, and we care. >> school officials say that, in addition to the price drop, they will continue to offer scholarships and other financial assistance, to students.

well, south jersey hospital, has been honored nationally for its program to combat sepsis infections which kills more people than heart attacks. >> health reporter stephanie stahl has one patient's dramatic story and this is incredible. >> reporter: it is. the cdc declared sepsis a medical emergency that kills 258,000 people a year nationally. it is difficult to diagnosis, and, kennedy health, they have instituted a program in its three hospitals that is dramatically reduced its sepsis death rate. >> i walk in here. >> reporter: trip to kennedy hospital in cherry hill that saved michael burger's life. >> it started from a paper cut. >> reporter: infectious from a cut on his hand turned into sepsis, and three week medically induced coma. >> scared the hell out of he. i can't believe that was me. >> reporter: michael says he never knew much about sepsis often triggered by a flesh eating bacteria that can cause organ failure. >> they said i was circling drain, 50/50 shot of living. >> reporter: fortunately michael was treated at kennedy

and a lot of people behind the scenes, really earned that award. >> reporter: michael says he is completely recovered now and has, no idea where he pick up that sepsis, infection. while common to hospital infections the cdc says that 80 percent of sepsis cases happen outside, of the hospital setting. with michael a paper cut, can you imagine, turned into something like that. >> they are heroes indeed. >> no kidding. >> appreciate it. well, flyers preseason is underway and a former flyers is in town. >> danny briere is celebrating an anniversary with children's hospital. briere gave a read to go young patients as part of the reach out and read program. that program is being going strong for 20 years and over two decade children's hospital has distributed more than 1 million books, to primary care patients. look the at the kid. >> they love that. >> they were there. >> kate joins us now, and you're talking precipitation, coming our way. >> we have some rain chances.

i don't think it is a total wash out but we will have the chance for a couple of showers at least every single day, right through saturday. so have the rain gear handy, leave it in your car, i try to leave an umbrella in the car, so i don't get caught outside in the rain. you don't want to get court outside in it either. have the the rain jacket handy as well. you won't need it through rest of the week but showers will be on and off and two most activity days are thursday and friday. here's a look outside right now, it doesn't look like we're talking about precipitation, it is beautiful. clear evening. blue skies. starting to just see first hints of sunset in the skies, out there, beautiful sunset tonight, and then things are looking great. we have cleared out the morning showers and the clouds, and now we are looking at a pleasant evening and with fewer clouds in the sky, we will also see a lower temperature tonight and temperatures drop a little will bit faster on a clear night as opposed to cloudy night like last night. storm scan three shows we are not out of the wood just yet overnight last night and this morning, it has cleared the coast, and south jersey has started to clear out a little

bit this evening as well. this is going to be connected to a larger system. you can see the swirl of clouds and showers, over the great lakes, this is what we call an upper level low pressure system, it is a low pressure system in the upper levels of the atmosphere and this is a slow mover. this will cut off from the main jet stream and sink to the south and without strong wind of the jet stream to move things along, this thing is not going anywhere for quite sometime. it will be with us at least in the weekend. the temperatures feeling good, now that the sun has return. it is 74 here in philadelphia 73 reading. sixty-eight in millville. pretty seasonal day for us, norma high in the mid 70's. here's is what ahead. clear skies overnight. that will continue in the first half of tomorrow. tomorrow afternoon the clouds will build in, and it is possibly a few showers tomorrow evening, or tomorrow night, here's midnight tomorrow night, into thursday morning. thursday, scattered showers heavier at times off to the west, but it has to be said that these cut off lows, you do not know exactly where the heaviest precipitation will form. there is a chance a heavier rain could form over philadelphia, thursday, it

continues to drift to the west on friday, and still cloudy with a chance for scattered showers around, and then finally by the weekend we will start to see that low lose its grip. you can see that bowling ball of cold air, impacting our weather thursday, friday especially by saturday and sunday starts to weaken and starts to move out and that is when nicer weather well will return. 30 percent chance have of rain tomorrow. mainly in the evening. the thursday and try best chance, 80, 70 percent respectively. saturday a 30 percent chance of rain. quickly looking at daylight, tonight's sunset at 6:49 p.m. take a look on november 6th, the sun will set at 4:52. we're losing more than two and a half minutes of daylight each and every day. so, tonight a few clouds, it is a cooler night. 68 degrees will be our low. tomorrow we are looking at partly sunny conditions, shower possible by evening, mainly after night fall. eyewitness weather seven day forecast will show thursday, friday, with clouds, and scattered showers, and i think thursday is the most active day, so, we will definitely make sure we have that rain gear on thursday, trying to clear things out in the
