4:45 am
area. if you have travel interests in this way you have to pay attention to this and as you mentioned category four it stands at moving slowly to the north at 5 miles an hour. take a look where the storm track is right fly jamaica, hispaniola and over the bahamas as category three likely four hurricane and headed straight north as of friday. that's all the way out to friday. so again there's still a lot of question marks that remain. one key factor whether it impacts our area is the flow of the upper levels and again we talk about this all the time. the jet stream not only separates cool frl warm but storm systems and if this manages to energy far enough east in time it's nick of time for the sending the storm out the sea as it continues to weaken. it's just a possibility. something we have to keep a close watch on and rights now we want you to stick with us and let you know when things continue town date.
4:46 am
we showed you earlier in the broadcast couple signs of life locally signs of showers and if you look closely you can see the storm out there weakening and fizzling and it's still out. there looking forward in the forecast what i want to you look at is not so much the numbers but arrow progressions it's time times and that means we have on shore flow flew the day tomorrow and which means we will be stuck here with cloudy skies and likely driz 8 and couple isolated showers keep the temperatures cooler we're nrirlt are with or hitting 70 at best in the next few days and they brighten up with time. it looks g at this point, again, was track what is going on with matthew, saturday is a crap shoot as to whether we see rain or not. meisha, over to you. >> good morning, everyone, happy monday to you. we're looking outside now. visibility issues. and fog on the bep franklin bridge coming from jersey to

4:53 am
priorities usa action is responsible >> and welcome back. good morning, everyone, we're expecting to see a day that gets progressively better with time. it's been a dreary couple of days. i promise you that the sun will actually shine today even despite what storm scan 3 is showing and there's a couple of showers here and there from the same storm that has just been stuck for so many days now. that is finally getting boot and getting kicked out and fizzling too that helps and regardless because we have a light wind at the surface and we have moisture we're finding areas of fog currently out there in patches granted and where you have it it's coming in and i will mess with your visibility. currently temperatures to a mild start all things concerned normally we about the only out to the 50s and we're well above that dropping another three degrees before the surprise officially rises. so it's not too bad out there
4:54 am
when it comes to temperature and most of us are at least starting things dry. visibility could be a concern just watch for that and clouds eventually break for a change. how about that? and that actually means with solar energy here at the surface we can get a chance to warm up, too, mixture of sun and clouds throughout the afternoon. cloudy tonight and tranquil and modest wind flow and that turns easterly tomorrow and that means the cloud rebuild and moisture gets sent inland from the waters of atlantic and we have to worry about drizzle and mist and it's damp and droory and clammy outside and thankfully looks as though the pattern gets quickly broken and we'll break for more sunshine come wednesday and thursday looking very nice rights now. and we do, of course, have eyes on what may happen this weeken weekend. meisha, what's going on with matthew that's many days away, though. >> absolutely. katie, thank you so much for that and looking outside right now clearly the sun is nowhere to be seen.
4:55 am
it's early for that. we're seeing a lot of fog. new jersey freeway creek road and first look at new jersey this is what we're looking at now. ben franklin bridge a little moment ago we are seeing the same story, fog, schuylkill headlights move unwilling east direction at king of freshia. on roadways. that's one good things about getting up early on the roadways. you have nice, on roadways to travel on. you have to deal with a little fog. construction on the pa turnpike westbound between valley forge and service plaza and downtow downingtown that's blocked and we have construction eastbound between valley forge and downingtown and between ben sale ep emand willow grove the left lane is blocked there. in the world of septa regional rails resumes today. the following schedules were put out june 19 except for media elwyn and the weekend fare collection still in place at all center city stations make note of that and take in a

quick peek at the academy. jim, brook, back to you. >> thank you, meisha a catholic church in new york city is carrying on one of the be loved traditions. >> the ble blessings of the animals. >> this is unusual scene outside. >> it included doves, cats, birds and others unusual for street of new york. the blessing take place opt feast day of saint francis of assisi. >> i covered that a few years ago and they brought an alligator in. >> you stayed in the vicinity. >> yes. >> septa riders listen up. >> changes to rail schedule started and what you can expect this morning some of the silver line five cars return to service. >> and the newly mentioned trump d.c. hotel gets vandalized.

>> schools in our area on alert after several disturbing posts on social media linked to kloups to threatening violence. the way police and school officials are working to keep students safe. >> and going back to normal after months of headaches septa is making changes today. we'll let you know what you can expect as you head to the station. >> and in some spots it's difficult to see outside. look at fog over center city. she'll tell us when the fog clears later today and today is monday, october 3. good morning i'm jim donovan. >> katie and meisha are here as well keeping an eye on things. >> good morning, happy monday. ki not stop thinking about the
5:00 am
creamy clown story is that not creepest thing ever. >> yes. >> roads are not creepy they're looking good this morning. we have construction and accident good news one cleared of two accidents right away. >> other than the fog it's erie to start the morning off participatey at least you won't find it everywhere and there's a couple speclees on the ray dear i have to point out too this is not all verifying at the ground level and storm 3 you're finding ground letter here and there this will be easier to detect in the last few hours. showers pushing through kent and cumberland down they. you may run into not only damp roads but if you need to flick the windshield wipers once or twice more than anything i would say it's non issue. you could see a stray shower any time frankly and if you can believe it it's from the same storm that has been with us now for days
