at 11:00 training for the unthinkable. how police, a community even teenagers come together for one goal to save lives. the recent string of clown threads on social media have professional clowns speaking out. how the prank is hurting their livlihood. >> first tonight preparing for the worse. hurricane matthew has the southeast united states on edge, as that storm moves closer to the u.s. >> there is a mass exodus ahead of that storm, good evening, everyone, i'm jessica dean. >> i'm nicole brewer in for ukee washington. tonight the warning for people along the atlantic coast is dire. get out or be prepared for the worse. in the sunshine state alone more than one and a half people, million people, that is, haves been told to leave their homes. stores have run out of food, out of water and supplies, the storm is expected to pack powerful winds and more than 10 inches every rain could fall. >> this is serious. have a plan in place could mean the difference between life and death when it comes to a storm of this magnitude. you know you'll evacuate.

pressure has gun to lower a bit. again the storm strengthening, pressure at 961 millie bars. we expect this to become category four again before making landfall during the day friday, probably along the space coast of florida or at the very least brushing nearby the coast, then downgrading as it starts to make that loop into the weekends, notice that does keep matthew well south of our area. it could mean major impacts for days for the southeast, i'll go more into those impact, what indirect impact we could feel this week friend this powerful storm. for now, nicole, back over to you. >> thank you. "eyewitness news" on the scene tonight of deadly shooting in kensington, 47 year old woman gunned down in the 100 block of east sterner street. she was shot in the head, neck and shoulder, and pronounced dead at the scene. police are searching for suspect and they are looking into the possibility, the victim may have been an innocent bystanders. two people are returned to the hospital after a natural gas explosion that ripped a house apart in trenton.

chopper three over that aftermath. the blast caused extensive damage to duplex on wayne ave. it is unclear if those homes can be salvaged, all of the injuries, though, were minor. so people who make their living as clowns, recent string every clown threads; no laughing matter. today authorities made four arrests in connection with clown threats. a 12 year old in bensalem, three juveniles in monroe township, this is on the heals of three other arrests this week, in philadelphia police say they're also investigating threatening posts by 13 year old. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do spoke to professional clown who says her business is taking a major hit due to the threats. >> could you just take this? oh, wait a minute. judy tooth i has entertained audiences as professional clown for more than 30 years, for judy it is a family affair. >> i'm very proud that i have a clown family. >> but the recent wave of kids and teens pretending to be

it is an unfortunate reality we see all too often, person with a gun shooting inside a building. tonight one local community trying to prepare for the unthinkable, and our david spunt traveled to williamstown, new jersey, and was the only television reporter allowed inside the controlled chaos. >> possible shots fired. >> this is a senseless act. >> can't look at the paper or watch the news for a week without seeing an active shooter somewhere in our country. >> shots fired. >> but this frantic call for help is only a drill. >> one shooter in the basement. two on the stairwell. >> very nerve wracking. >> monroe township police chief john mcewen gave "eyewitness news" exclusive as second to the department's active shooter simulation. mayor taken hostage, by two men, who identify themselves as sovereign citizens, who are

upset with him and local government. the monroe township officers were ready, they started preparing month ago, and this was their moment. >> members of the act ski have been preparing for shooters since columbine happened, woke us all up in 1999. >> but this situation was different. because of the local high school drama students. who put on make up to help create authentic atmosphere for all involved. >> we've kind of like stunning seeing what the real situation would be like, how hard it is for the officers. >> helps our officers get little stress under their belt. >> about hour into the drill both suspect were caught, and taken out in handicuffs. those who were wounded brought to safety by ems. emergency crews were on scene within seconds, the entire event took about six months to plan, according to organizers, authenticity was the key. >> we do need to practice. >> monroe township resident

is the area that will face the greatest threat from matthew even as the threat diminish ishes for our area. devastating storm for the southeast. philadelphia, looking good. few clouds outside. but, it is a chill night. as well, after the clear day today, temperatures dropping very rapidly, into the 50's, and definitely need the jacket if you head outside tomorrow morning. looking at storm scan3, clear skies across the region, front over the great lakes, that one fizzling, but stronger front will move through here saturday. live on our neighborhood network, temperatures low 50's right now, kennett square, ardmore, lower merion high school, 55 degrees, 51 bensalem, 51 degrees in hainesport, chilly start to our night. it will get even cooler some 40's certainly across the area overnight. big cool autumn high over new england, keeping our weather pattern pretty quiet through the next couple of days, here is the front we're watching, loading up moisture headed into the weekends, friday is another dry day. then we have matthew to watch. matthew along the coast of

florida here is 11:00 a.m., about the time matthew may be trying to make landfall along the coast of florida head into saturday, notice matthew impacts stays well to the south. here comes the front saturday afternoon, saturday evening, some of the rainfall may be slightly enhanced if it does happen or manage to happen some of the tropical moisture from matthew. don't think it is a wash out. scattered shares headed through your saturday afternoon and evening, certainly could be worse. >> this system looks like it will miss the connection this front not strong enough to kick it out to sea thus matthew expected to just basically sit and spin off the coast of the southeast for days. you can see the curvement notice some of the models curve it all the way back around, several try to make a secondary landfall in florida early next week. that remains to be seen. the majority take it out to sea start to diminish. in the nothing even close to our region, so the trends has been our friend, and it looks like we will feel little or no direct impact from matthew, but the south eats, women, it may get stuck along the southeast coast for days,
