in that regard. we are still seeing high pressure take the place of low, which, you know, low, of course, being it cold frontal passage brought in the rain. now we still have win speeds as high as the teens in a lot of spots as a result, even reported at philadelphia international airport. and what that is doing knocking your feels-like values back, at least a hair, in a lot of spots. so, storm scan at the moment as we mention nice and quiet. virtually no cloud cover out there at the moment either. we are expecting to see nothing but sunshine as the day progresses, now, as we look forward for the rest of the day, yes, chill in the air. extra layers required. it feels like fall for a change, back in the sunshine out there. but again with the chill and the breeze, factor it in, couple it together, that sunshine is not necessarily going to feel quite as warm, as it might otherwise, and the school planner, you know, again, dress the kids in layers throughout the course of the day. we only get to up about 64 for the ride home, hitting that, although we do expect to see temperatures rebounding time, just not today. it will be little cooler than average. meisha over to you. >> katie speaking that far breeze, we were seeing a lot

of our cameras pouting all over the place, we know certainly windy out there. good morning, guys there is one not so much. kind of holding steady for us, the schuylkill at city avenue you can see moving in both directions both the eastbound side and the westbound side. but certainly starting to heat up. so starting to heat up specially on the westbound side coming off the boulevard. just heads up on that. delaware county 95 north at 452, let's take peak in, there what you are looking at here as you push in the northbound direction, toward the airport, actually, looking pretty good. southbound side i have to keep my eye there really kind of looking at the northbound side headed toward the airport, and looking normal. looking at we -- as we should push willing into the 6:00 hour now. fifty-nine headlight moving in the southbound direction, past girard, really looking kind of busy there and the ben franklin bridge starting to heat up there as well for those of you coming from jersey pushing in the westbound direction toward center city kind of heads up on that as well because good indicator what we are looking at around 6:30, 6:45, accident here 95 southbound harvey road. right lane is still blocked, in this area, not causing any

>> that's going to be one heck of a clean up, kate. >> i absolutely, and you know we certainly spared, either, even though thankfully the storm moving well far off to the northeast, we are clearing out, we definitely had pretty soggy weekends specially saturday brinking it -- with it the rainfall total of 1.15 inches here in philadelphia, that makes since october 1st actually 1.17 inches for the month as a whole for the majority of our monthly rain so far obviously coming from the one event. we do actually as a result still have flood warning for some of the specifically things like the manco river, leading to road closures down across kent county, portions every sussex as well, now extended until 10:30 this morning. here's what's left of matthew pulling away, left with high pressure as a result. very quiet weather looking forward. it also means tis the seat on, starting to see frost issues

there. looking good, i mean, on this monday morning, guys, dry roadways, everything looking government i would say interstate 95 moving in the southbound direction, this is really where i am keeping my eye, one of the areas that certainly is starting to heat up. you can see a lot of people putting off their brakes, some areas slowing down, less than posted speeds, but overall, other than interstate 95, and some parts of the schuylkill, you are really looking good this morning, accident here though in delaware 95 southbound at harvey road exit ten right lane blocked there. avenue lot of construction updates coming up of the first a quick break, stay right where you are. cbs-3 "eyewitness news" will be right back.

>> the us coast guards, people trapped in the flood water from hurricane matthew. >> saved ten lives, including eight people stranded on rooftops. matthew torrential rains triggered severe flooding. the storm is now out to sea. >> meanwhile, a bomb squad was called to a south carolina beach after hurricane matthew unearthed civil war cannon balls. now the powerful storm triggered intense flooding, causing beach errosion, and high sea levels. the bomb squad could not get to the historic artifact in the sand due to the rising tide, but technicians will make sure the area is safe once the ocean level goes back down. florida saint augustine alligator farm took precautions during the hurricane.

but it took a while. we started off even still with some rain in a lot of locations, and some flooding rain, still flood warnings continue across southwest kent and most of sussex counties this morning from some of the rivers outflowing their banks. meanwhile with some of the other eyewitness weather watchers we have temperatures mid 40's in many of the locations, these are your edge i morning lows we're showing you, lou in eagleville at 44, the lowest i'm finding so far. yes, 46, 48 degrees, depending where you are. it has been very cool start it the day. so thanks to the watchers for checking in with us this morning, let's go next to another live view there is time, outside pleasant valley middle high school. the light of day now popping over the horizon, it is chilly, at 42 degrees, feeling more like the 30's factoring in what's relatively modest winds. and it will be pretty breezy day. it is a chilly start thus far, temperatures right now upper 40's, average low ooh, close to average, but the coldest it's been since may 16th of this year. so, it has been a while. meanwhile out we go to storm scan3, nice wide zoom.
