threatening to quit the campaign. a new poll of likely voters taken before sunday's debate but after the release of the damaging videotape of trump shows clinton in an 11-point lead. that lead grew to 14 present in a head to head matchup. hena daniels is here with more. good morning. >> good morning, meg. trump is battling in the polls and battling back with leaders. he fired back saying ryan should spend more time on balancing the budgets, jobs, illegal immigration and not waste his time fighting the republican nominee. >> reporter: donald trump spent the day in the crucial state of pennsylvania warning supporters of a potentially rigged election. >> we have to make sure that this election is not stolen from us. >> reporter: and threatening new attacks against bill and hillary clinton. >> if they want to release more saying inappropriate things we'll continue to talk about bill and hillary clinton doing inappropriate things.

>> he can do anything. >> reporter: support for the republican nominee hit a new low yesterday in the wake of the "access hollywood" tape. rnc chair reince priebus is standing by him. >> the rnc is in full coordination with the trump campaign. >> reporter: fresh off sunday's fiery debate, clinton held her largest rally yet in ohio. making the case to millennials not to vote for trump. >> he is an equal opportunity insulter if there ever was one. that is not what will we are in america. >> reporter: the democratic nominee also faced more setbacks yesterday. wikileaks released more e-mails illegally obtained from clinton campaign chair john podesta's e-mail account. the new batch reportedly shows top clinton advisers discovering how to spin her suspicion on a variety of topics including her

e-mail scandal. the campaign today will focus in florida. former presidential candidate al gore will travel with hillary clinton for the first time today in miami. >> hena daniels in new york, thank you. after trump's crude comments about women became public, his running mate, indiana governor mike pence said the remarks were indefensible. but campaigning in north carolina yesterday, pence defended trump calling him a fighter and a winner. >> as i said last weekend, i don't condone what was said and i spoke out against it. but the other part of my faith is i believe in grace. i've received it. i believe in it. >> and said trump was guilty of little more than a poor choice of words. in the 2005 videotape donald trump refers to a married woman who refused to sleep with him. that woman has been identified as "entertainment tonight" host

nancy o'dell. o'dell addressed the issue on last night's broadcast. >> my name was mentioned and unfortunately my name was thrown me in part of a political arena of which i did not want to be apart. there is no room for objectification of women anywhere. not even in the locker room. >> o'dell said all women deserve respect no matter what their gender. several athletes say the locker room talk donald trump is not part of their locker room. a federal judge has extended florida's voter registration by one day. the new deadline is 5:00 p.m. wednesday. the democratic party requested the extension following hurricane matthew. governor rick scott hl rejected requests. in his ruling judge walker wrote

if voters are barred from registering to voter they're stripped of their freedoms. develop of them in hard-hit north carolina. most of the victims were swept away on flooded roads. 31 counties are declared disaster areas. governor pat mccrory toured some of the hardest hit areas. >> i met with an 80-year-old woman who lost everything. and she's sitting in a school cav tearial at this point crying wondering what her life is going to be all about. >> widespread flooding remains an issue. hundreds of homes remain without electricity. in haiti, hundreds struggle to survive from hurricane matthew. vladimir duthiers reports.

dozens of people surrounded me and they asked me to write their names in my reporter's notebook as a way of saying, look, we're here, we survived. don't forget about about us. samsung is stopping the sale of all of its galaxy 7 notebook phones. it comes after a fire in the phones replaced models. >> reporter: last tuesday, kentucky resident michael clearing woke up to the smell of smoke. >> looked over and my phone's on fire. >> reporter: he traded in his first galaxy note 7 a week earlier. >> phone is supposed to be the replacement. you thought it was safe. it wasn't plugged in, it was just sitting there. >> reporter: last month, samsung recalled 2.5 million phones to replace the new battery. however, it hasn't prevented all of the phones from overheating. >> initially, you thought it was

something from a battery from a battery supplier. but these replacement phones have an issue with other batteries. obviously the issue is somewhere else. it may be the design of the phone or a combination. >> reporter: new action by samsung in a statement to cbs news, the company says samsung will ask all carriers and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the galaxy note 7 while the investigation is taking place. >> this is with the curved edges and the biggest iphone. it's definitely meant to be sort of the big holiday push phone. and definitely not going to be that. definitely not going to show up in all of the stockings for christmas. coming up on the "morning news," he once called it the eighth wonder of the world, but donald trump's taj mahal is no more. leaving thousands of atlantic city employees looking for work. and handcuffed for arrest.

accused of kidnapping rebecca liewi lewis. he lived with her family until a couple years ago. researchers studied the 11-year period ending in 2013. they found 220 deaths in texas and 440 in california. both states have laws requiring such reports. oregon statesman journal reports that a portland man was attacked by a shark. he was bitten in the lower leg monday. the fellow surfer said he never lost consciousness. the last shark attack at that beach was 28 years ago. "the new york times" reports that sodamakers give millions to health groups while lobbying against laws that would tax soda sales. researchers found that coke and pepsi donated to nearly 100
