construction but it is thursday with dry roadways. >> it looks generally like it is, is there a cold front, but some spots will pick up a shower but does affect morning drive. definitely would say more than anything the morning drive will feature sun glare issues traveling east bound but later on today you can see clouds beginning to bilo in here cold front is scheduled to move through but bulk of the moisture gets bypassed and shoved off to the north and looking a at washington and ac you can see it better. moisture content is there but basically from lake airy on thort. we may end up with a shower and we will track that specifically later in the show but, this is data that requires an umbrella for anybody and we will explain more about that as the show progresses but for now we're sitting pretty. hitting the road at 53 degrees in philadelphia milder by comparison by this same time yesterday and day before that but we are finding enough of the cool air mass that it is at least light jacket weather.

forty-three in quakertown. forty-six at best in doylestown. the since we have got generally a nice clear sky, it is going to drop off more readily as morning progresses with the sun coming up around 7:10 or so. as the day goes on we will see on sunshine and daytime high hit 72 degrees and we can expect to see isolated shower as the afternoon progresses but we will have more on the timing of that later in the broadcast. jim, back to you. thanks very much. gunfire in northeast philadelphia leaves one man dead and another in stable condition, this morning. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live in lawncrest where police are investigating two crime scenes, jan. >> reporter: brooke and jim, that is right here is where police found a man in his 20's hot to death overnight in lawncrest and around his body they found six spent shell casings and a gun. we are coming to you live from the 500 block of east cheltenham avenue. now detectives in the crime scene unit has remained out here for hours but they have

just wrapped up and moved out, two blocks away police found another man shot, he is in stable condition this morning. police are treating both of these shootings as related. now take a look at the video at east allicot street just after 11:00 last night. there they found a 20 year-old man shot in the groin. he was taken to einstein for treatment and is now in stable condition. also at that scene police found a what had of cash and marijuana. two blocks south on the 500 block of east cheltenham avenue police found a man in his 20's shot in the stomach. he was pronounced dead and police found six spent shell casings and semiautomatic weapon feet from the victim's body. homicide detectives are working both scenes but they have not yet determined a motive but police do have some leads. >> where we found the initial victim in the 500 block of east allicot, we found a what had of money, we're not sure how much money it is because we're not touching it, it is

part of the crime scene but we also found several small containers of the green weed like substance that appears to be marijuana. it is a possibility that this double shooting/homicide may be narcotics related. there are surveillance cameras in this area that police will take a look at. >> they have identified the man shot and injured and now in the hospital in stable condition, and they are still work going to identify the man who was the shot and killed. we're reporting live in lawncrest jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". brooke and jim, back to you. search is on for two suspects police say are responsible for an execution style murder, in the hunting park section of philadelphia. "eyewitness news" was there in the 4200 block of north franklin street where someone shot a 22-year old man multiple times at the point blank range. victim was pronounced dead on the scene, so far no arrests. developing news out of boston two officers are fighting for their lives after

getting hot this is line of duty. here's what we know so far these two officers were about on the shot just before 11:00 as they responded to calls about a person with a gun. the officers were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are both listed right now in extremely critical condition. police issued a shelter in place warning for nearby residents following the shooting, they later said the suspect was killed and this situation is under control. we will have more on the developing story coming up in the next hour. in campaign 2016 today, ivanka trump will be in philadelphia to campaign for her father. >> she has events from malvern, drexel hill, bucks county. new controversy is facing republican nominee for president, two women told new york times that the trump sexually assaulted them. one woman said trump grabbed her breast and tried to put his hair up a skirt during a airplane flight in 1978. another woman said trump immediately started kissing her on the mouth help she first met him in 2005.

today marks one year since a little boy was found dead in the haddon township woods. >> now his mother is speaking exclusively to "eyewitness news". three-year old brandon creato was discover on the morning of the october 13th, 2015 about a half mile from his dad's house. there was no obvious signs of foul play and an autopsy, and toxicology reports didn't reveal the cause of the death. his father, dj creato is charged with murder. here's the little boy's mother, samantha didnoto. >> big crazy ball have joy. he was a kid who would literally run all over the house, back abe for the, toys every where, no one really knew you who he was, they still knew he was a great kid. >> dj creato, remains behind bars, the authorities say that he became involved with a new girlfriend who ultimately convinced him to kill brendon. creato's attorney tea nice this and says truth will come out during trial. well, when "eyewitness news" continues we will tell you about a big fire that destroyed a family's home in

most suburbs and we are finding a couple spots where visibility is less than ideal, lancaster, trenton stan out like sore thumbs, ac airport down to a mile visibility. we will find patchy fog this morning, most specific to the most outlining suburbs. more remote you are more likely you will see fog this morning. we are calling for partly sunny day, guys but by the lunch hour and 1:00 p.m. we will see a few showers firing up here. it looks like it is from the city north west, notice time stamp, one or two or 3:00 p.m. when that fires up and then we are clearing things out. if you don't want to take an umbrella along, go for it, you will need to take it with you. we will clear things out tonight and back to cooler conditions albeit the beautiful fall-like weather for friday and saturday. we're going to rebound nicely to 70 on sunday. still a a very nice day. but by monday a new system is already here and that will bring in a fresh round of cloud, showers, meisha, over to you.

>> still looking beautiful, katie, thank you so much. looking outside how dry, and looking really nice. still early. we are not even in the 5:00 o'clock hour but schuylkill headlights moving in the eastbound direction past montgomery looking good there both directions, east and westbound looking good. 422 at oaks is what you are looking at here, no delays whatsoever. looking great there. now we have a few accidents, you guys, this first one valley forge road at popshop road, second one i will call your attention to moore road at west ninth avenue. another one involving injuries devereaux avenue near roosevelt boulevard there it can slow you down as we push teacher in the 5:00 o'clock hour. just a heads up on that. construction kind of by where that accident is, the boulevard, roosevelt boulevard southbound between woodward street and rhawn street, two inner lanes right now are blocked there as well. so, we will have a lot of activity in that area, head up just walking out the door sometime soon, construction on the northeast extension southbound before lansdale the left lane is block there.

anything that is depressing. i will say roadways are looking nice, dry but we have a lot of construction. the katie, we were seeing some fog in the camera, is that kind of overall. >> it depend where you are. more remet your suburbs, better likelihood you will see fog. it should be patchy but it is out there. if you are coming in the city from the outskirts of town, we're talking outskirts of town that is best likelihood to see it. the just expect it. this is definitely a little more of an exception rather than normal here, no dense fog advisories, but certainly enough that is worth a mention. that is where our rain chance is worth a mention. it is not worth the umbrella today for now we have a handful of cloud building in across the region. temperatures aren't all that chilly. you cane leading edge of on is rain back toward pittsburgh, alleghenies, that triggers the next shower chance for us. leading edge of the cold front. don't worry about the umbrella if you don't mind a couple rain drops. many won't see a drop of r
