october 13th good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm brooke thomas. you can never be too prepared, katie. >> good morning. >> yes, good morning. it is gateway to the weekend. we are looking good. we have been trickled with accidents out there all minor and we have to get to all that coming up in a little bit but for the most part we are just seeing fog. >> very patchy out there. we are finding a few locations and it is location, location, location. more remote suburb is that you are starting your commute from more likely you will see some fog out there. storm scan at more localized zoom very quiet. we are off to a dry start hey need to flip your windshield wipers, to get dew off before you hit the road here. the visability, again mostly just totally fine, completely clear as a bell but 10 miles or greater but out in trenton, lancaster and in the pine land around millville more remote places. but trenton isn't most most remote spot in the world it is according to this particular

republican many in minute knee's childhood plan on the campaign trail. we are 25 days away from election day. keep it right here on "eyewitness news" for very latest on campaign 2016. in other news gunfire in northeast philadelphia leaves one man dead and another in stable condition. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live in lawncrest where police are investigating two crime scenes, jan. >> brooke and jim, good morning, this was the scene where police found a man in his 20's shot and killed, just a couple blocks away they found another man, 20 year-old man there shot and injured and they are treating them both as related. homicide detectives and crime scene unit remained out here for hours in lawncrest, and they have wrapped up, moved out, couple officers just stopped by here and just left once again but taking a look you can get a better idea what we're talking about here this morning. this is east allicot street just after 11:00 o'clock last night. they found a 20 year-old map shot in the groin. he was taken to einstein for

treatment and is now in stable condition. police found cash and what appears to be marijuana. meantime two blocks south on the 500 block of east cheltenham avenue where we are coming to you live this morning, police found a man in his 20's shot in the stomach, he was pronounced dead on the scene and here police found spent shell casings and semiautomatic weapon feet from the victim's body. homicide detective are working both scenes they have not yet determined a motive but police do have some leads. >> where we found the initial victim in the 500 block of east allicot we found a money, we are not sure how much it is because we're not touching it, it is parts of the crime scene but we found several small containers on have the green weed like substance that appears to be marijuana. so, it is a possibility that this double shooting homicide may be narcotics related. >> now police have child

surveillance cameras in this area, they are taking a look at that video in the meantime they have identified the man shot and injured and new in the hospital in stable condition, they are still working to identify the man who was shot and killed. reporting live from lawncrest, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now back inside to you. search is on this morning for two suspects wanted in connection with an execution style murder in the hunting park section of the city. "eyewitness news" in the 4200 block of north franklin street where police say just before 10:00 o'clock last night a 22-year old man was shot multiple times at point blank range. victim was pronounced dead on the scene, so far no arrests have been made. developing news out of boston two officers are fighting for their lives after getting shot in the line of duty. those officers were shot just before 11:00 last night as they responded to calls of a person with a gun. the officers were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are both listed in extremely

critical condition. police say that the suspect was killed and the situation is now under control. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch will have more on this developing story later in the hour. also happening today a mad rahami is expect to be arraigned in court. rahami is this man, man accused offsetting off bombs in new york and new jersey. he is still in the hospital and will appear before the court in his hospital bed by video. the 28 year-old is charged with five count of attempted murder of a police officer and weapons offences. today marks within year since a little boy was found dead in the wood of haddon township. now his mother is speaking only with "eyewitness news". three-year old brandon creato was discovered on the morning of october 13th, 2015, about a mile from his tad's house. there were no obvious signs of foul play, and an autopsy and toxicology report didn't reveal cause of the death. his father dj creato is charged with murder. creato's mother samantha didin

back here on "eyewitness news" with a look the at hurricane nicole from space, the storm is now you a category four. >> forecasters say nicole is extremely dangerous, and it could pass near or over bermuda today. >> here's video from bermuda, 60,000 people living on the island and they are bracing for nicole. residents, businesses boarded up businesses and made last minute grocery store runs. nicole is expected to unleash destructive wind, flooding, on bermuda. look at this. >> yes. >> they are getting ready though. >> absolutely, yeah. >> what is goodies bermuda has got accessibility to those things but regardless this is a storm that has over achieved. it wasn't expected to get to much more than a category two but look at how close, this thing has gained forward speed in the last several hours, coming off the close, that eye wall to bermuda and it looks like the eye is bigger than the island.

on the forecast because it is a couple minor issues. will we will start off with a live neighborhood network shots for a reason. if you're with us regularly outside the whitefield elementary school you typically wouldn't have that reflection going on, from the light, off in the distance. normally it is just dark because there is only hill country back there but because of some fog settling in you can see that it is brightening up more readily because the clouds are actually reflecting light from the street lamps and cars moving through. so that is just one example we are finding some fog, thicker in some places and most noteably through most outlining suburbs you'll find that fog more readily. here in philadelphia i got to tell you looking from the skies deck and my general 180-degree view is very, very clear overall, but we do have the clouds that are eventually going to continue to build overhead and will likely sees shower in spots. 52 degrees at the airport at the moment. fifty as well in allentown even mount pocono. but from philadelphia

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch has details surrounding the situation and in the cbs-3 news center, justin. >> reporter: boston police, officers were met with gunfire, arriving to the house where they got a call of the man with the gun. then backup officers arrived

and acted fast, dragging wounded to safety while firing back at the suspect. this morning, both are in extremely critical condition and that suspect is dead, but boston police commissioner says one officer was shot once or twice, second officer shot several times, and suspect is said to be a man about age 33, who reportedly wore a bullet proof vest as he fired on a assault rifle at police. wow later be found dead in the house. this began close to 11 last night, once we got reports of an armed man at a house in east one toss police say after a fight between suspect and male roommate. investigation is now underway. >> the two individual who nomos about what happened tonight are behind us at mass general fighting for their lives. so like mayor walsh and commissioner evans i ask the city, and the region to please pray for them, for their well-being and for their safety, and we will do a very thorough investigation in the transparent one. >> the two wounded officers are both men who are long time
