night after some type of a scuffle, with a school counselor here this morning. philadelphia police tell me they likely will not classify this as a homicide. now around 11:00 officials here in the wordworth academy called police that struggle between a 15 year-old teen at the facility and one of the wordworth counselors. according to investigators a staff member tried reare strange the student putting the boy in the head lock when that 15 year old fell and hit his head apparently this scuffle started after officials discovered an ipod in the student's room that was not his. wordworth academy webb side says this facility is a private non-private behavioral health and treatment center and boy has a history of mental and medical issues him early is. last night our cameras caught investigators and homicide detectives at the scene gathering information about what happened. we reach out to the academy for a comment, a spokesperson there, gave us this statement: quote, although we are shock, saddened by this event it is an ongoing investigation and we are unable to comment any

further at this time. philadelphia police also telling me that they will not hold a press conference about this investigation but will release a statement shortly. as soon as we get that statement we will pass it to you. for now we're live here in the wynfield heights section of the philadelphia, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you for that live report. overnight crash on the roosevelt boulevard claims the lives of two teenagers. police now telling us, the driver of the car that the teen was in ran a red light. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch has the details. >> reporter: amid wreckage of the for suv and hyundai sedan, two young lives lost and two others somehow spared at corner of roosevelt boulevard and north front street. this neighbor tells "eyewitness news" he heard a crash just after midnight and came over to find a young man's life hanging in the balance. >> i kept hollering wake up. he went back out. that is when we call 911. >> reporter: police believe that suv was going north on

front street before colliding with that sedan right here on the boulevard, that car, then being thrown into that pole, trapping all three teens inside. a 17 year old girl, found in the back seat, died on the scene and a managed 19, later died at einstein. police say both suffered injuries, including severe head and neck trauma. the 18 year-old male driver lived. inside that suv, one aged driver, a woman in her 50's. >> she was kind of shook up. the driver, of his car was really in shock. >> reporter: with no cameras in the the area police are looking for the accounts of the the two surviving drivers, both suffered bumps and bruises and taken to einstein for treatment. police now trying to sort out what role, if any, speed played in this crash. on roosevelt boulevard i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and, turning now to campaign 2016, there are just 24 days before voters choose our next president.

finding temperatures that are in some spots just cracking in the 60's at this point. it is a perfect fall day. that is unfolding here but along with perfect fall weather so often we have chilly nights and mornings. that is what we have moving for. let me take to you storm scan which continues to show absolutely no signs of life, completely empty. just like we like it. it means we will have beautiful weather the rest of the day and this area of high pressure building in now and it will stick around for another couple of days. current temperatures, only a couple spots, crack in the lower 60's at this point. we are in the upper 50's at philly international. it feels comfortable outside as long as you are prepared with the extra layer but regardless, it is cool start to the afternoon. meanwhile, because it is going to be a cooler pattern at least for now a frost advisory takes effect later on tonight. it doesn't start until well after the sun has gone down, temperatures have had a chance to drop off and it is all specific to the outlying suburbs. interior southern new jersey, and suburbs outside philadelphia, in short, philadelphia is not included in this but it does give you a

sense that it will drop off readily. in the meantime special events going on around the city this weekend including the three day komen race for the cure here. we are going to see the temperatures, ever so slight thely rebound in the days ahead but wall to wall, sunshine. the spectations, right through sunday. so, it looks like just a perfect weekend, and when are going to be out cheering on the walker in the three day or out and about picking your pumpkin for the weekend. do expect that there will be a fresh chance for rain. we will talk about when that gets here and significant warming, that goes on next week, as well. for now back inside to you. >> katie, thank you very much. accident investigators continuing to look into a bizarre crash that left a man in critical condition, at philadelphia's fox chase section. police tell us an 18 year-old man jumped in the hood of the moving car the at rhawn and verree and then was thrown off when the car slammed into a tree, at a utility pole. driver of the car that drove away and police are looking for that driver, it is unclear

if the driver and victim knew one another. and burlington county, five students are okay after a crash involving their school bus, take a look, chopper three over pemberton road and mountain road. school district says bus was on the way to the pemberton high school when it collided with another vehicle at 8:00 a.m. school bus driver and school aid were taken to the local hospital for minor injuries. and, several cars, ended up with flat tires and other minor damage after traveling along i-95 earlier this morning. police say it happened after a truck began dumping debris on the road beginning at 476/i-95 interest change and then continuing south into delaware and naamans road. it is unclear exactly how many roads suffered damage. as you heard katie mention a parade of paint is making its way through the delaware valley this morning as the susan komen three day beginning. >> as "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao shows us people will walk 60 miles to communities from willow grove to south philadelphia. >> we are all here walking, for those who cannot, for

any kind of outdoors plans you have got scheduled they are a go. we expect to see temperatures rebound by sunday even in the 70's owe a smidge above average for many have of us and that is a trend that is scheduled to continue which we will talk about but in the meantime, savior this and enjoy it, it really looks fantastic for saturday and sunday. we will be right back.

do not try at home unbelievable images, this man here identified as kevin pierson went outside, this category three hurricane and it was spin go through the island. his wife shot video and seemed to express disbelief that he went out in the storm, imagine that. the hurricane is the strongest in the island since fabian in 2003. so, aside from that, you can get hit in the head. >> my goodness, yes.

>> he is crazy, he could literally get blown away. >> it is unfortunate. >> you know, you give out these warnings for a reason. >> absolutely, i feel like i'm a weather geek. i totally understand the appeal of wanting to go out in these storms but there is a reason. the it is legitimately dangerous. if we ever give you those warnings please listen to us. >> yes. >> exactly, yeah. we have not heard but hopefully he is okay but at least we don't have anything like that in the weather department, anytime soon. >> no. >> we have a couple showers down the road too but it is a very nice forecast. really something for everyone too. if you are not a fan of the chill we have really warm days coming up in the seven day as well. the it will feel more like the tail end of summer in the days ahead, not yet but feel like fall when you walk outside the door but really nice fall day unfolding. we will start off with another view here, of storm scan three which remains nice and quiet. high pressure is in place, it will stay in place.

but, while we're talking about nicole lets see what is up with this storm. notice this very wide zoom on storm san tiny island of bermuda barely a speckle, the eye is actually, island itself is in the middle of the eye as storm passed overhead so it gives you a sense of just how tiny that little land mass is, by comparison to the what had been a major hurricane. it is actually still a category one storm system right now but it is, moving right along well to the north east at this point of bermuda, and still a category one hurricane though, as it enters in the cooler water it will be losing not only its tropical characteristics but a lot of the strength as well. it will eventually fizzle to nothing, then. but for now it is still an interesting, and certainly, a potent storm system. for our forecast, though it is just looking phenomenal, high pressure has moved in the wake of yesterday's front brought in a couple of showers we had anticipated, now long gone and it has left behind a nice

large blue h. anytime you see that in our air eighth means fair weather, that is exactly what we can expect all weekend long, now, eventually, a cold front is, next disturbance will move our way, don't worry about it on sunday, it is not until monday that we will begin to see, any possibility of not just more cloud cover but additional showers in the forecast. so you're banking on straight up, three day, gorgeous weekend here with nothing but sun and temperatures that only have the chance to rebound with time. temperature change as of right now, from this same time yesterday, virtually no change in allentown but it is cooler, every where else and noticeably so. especially in millville, atlantic city, dover we are 10 w then it was this same time yesterday. remember, yesterday we had sunshine, before that frontal boundary crossed through and brought in a couple of showers and a few spots. meanwhile here's where we stand, another check for a couple of locations, temperature wise, the win flow is more out of the north at this point but it is not terribly breezy. it is ushering in very dry air. it end up being a good hair

day. we have a friday football frenzy game of the week, it is a big one. important one to our morning producer steve lindsey. he loves st. joes prep. shout out the to him. we're talking 56 degrees at kick off under a nice clear sky, but my add rise to you is maybe have a blanket over your lap, as you go on out to the stand. aids walk philly this weekend on sunday. it looks like perfect walking and running weather for 5k as well. another sporting entering on, this is my kind of forecast for the philadelphia union, on sunday, big match, 3:00 p.m., 70 degrees. 70 degrees. is that awesome? it is looking fantastic. i promised you a warm up here. take a look by the time we hit tuesday and wednesday it might be the tail end of summer, guys. monday though is that one and only day where at this point we necessity we will see some showers, but, it doesn't look like scattered showers. it is not even a deluge. this is a good forecasty feel like at this point in the year we have to savior every day we can and that we get.

if the doctors hadn't caught it early i might not be sitting here. so i'm outraged that pat toomey voted to defund planned parenthood... which thousands of pennsylvania women depend on for cancer screenings. pat toomey was even willing to shut down the federal government to eliminate funding for planned parenthood. shut down the government over planned parenthood? i think we ought to shut down pat toomey. senate majority pac is responsible for the content of this advertising. i would support legislation in pennsylvania that would ban abortion and i would suggest we have penalties for doctors who perform them. would you put people in jail for performing abortions? at some point doctors performing abortions i think would be subject to that sort of penalty. dscc is responsible for the content of this advertising.
