live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a 28 year old father shot to death in his own driveway. now police are is her clinic for his killers. police say the man's wife awning young son were inside the house at the time. good afternoon, i'm rahel solomon. >> i'm joe holden. remembered this noon as heart working family man. our jan carabeo has the details from lawncrest. >> police say it was right here, the 28 year old father, and husband, was gunned down, just steps away from his home in lawncrest.

monday morning, his family, still can't believe he's gone, shaken, asked not to be shown on camera. >> his father working, always, he was a barber, always took care of her, always took care of all of us. >> family identified the victim as johnny casada they tell "eyewitness news" he had taken his one year old to the movies monday night, after leaving his wife and child at home, they say he stepped back out, and families says husband and wife had a heart breaking final conversation. >> he calls them and tells them come home, and heard some shots, he said it was me. i'm on the grounds judge just after 10:30 p.m. police were called to the the street to find him shot at least four times in the back driveway. police took him to the hospital in critical condition. he later died. but first, police say, he told them he had just returned home from shopping when he was approached by two men and robbed at gunpoint. for some reason they opened fire. >> one of the perpetrators actually took semiautomatic

gun from the victim. so we don't know if the victim got a chance to even pull that weapon. >> homicide detectives are investigating. they're searching for surveillance video and seen at this business across the street, his family has no idea who would want to hurt him. they say he was a hard-working barber who supported his family in the dominican republic. his mother lost her support, his brother, his sister, he supported all of em them. >> in lawncrest, jan carabeo. >> and there was another deadly shooting overnight. this one just after midnight in philadelphia's kensington section. police tell "eyewitness news", the 19 year old victim was shot in the head-on the 2900 block of rosehill street. detective are now checking surveillance cameras in the area hoping that would help identify a suspect. >> philadelphia police and the fire marshall's office are investigating several car fires in the city's overbrook section this noon. now, they received reports of at least five cars and a dumpster. they believe may have been deliberately set on fire. the car fires happened near

and it is going to feel more like september over the next 48 hours or so, potential highs, full sunshine after the morning fog, rapid warm up in the temperatures compared to this time yesterday, much warmer, anywhere from about six to even 14 degrees warmer, through parts of eastern pennsylvania, and new jersey, that's just a sign of things to come. warmer air mass continuing to work it way in. look at allentown, up to 57 degrees already, atlantic city airport at 76, same deal down in millville, and in dover, delaware, and now we will get close to about 80 degrees this afternoon, even the suburbs, feeling the warmth already, in the mid 70s, a lot of locations, should stay dry today. couple of showers out across western pennsylvania, as is expected. they continue to break up. maybe few clouds around, enough sunshine gets us well above average. mid 60s where we should be, 08 degrees today for philadelphia, and mid 70s at the shore, near 70 at the poconos, if you like it warmer, you're going to like the next couple of days where we have a shot to set a new record, talk about that coming up null full forecast coming

weekend, going back to typical october conditions. outside right now, it is just nice. i was just out in the skydeck, starting to warm up, touch of hued i at this -- humidity, even hit the beach in the next couple of days if you have the day off. live look ocean sit, full sunshine, comfortable on the beach. temperatures probably low 70s, even with the breeze coming in off the ocean. ocean not that cold. right around 65 degrees. today, the overall pattern, staying warm, at least through mid week, the reason is the jet stream t does this from time to time. this is nothing too uncommon, moving to the north, so we get that warmth, over the deep south, headed back to mid-atlantic and northeast, why temperatures are running 15, 20 degrees above average, over the next few days. here are the records to beat: tomorrow will be tough. that's pushing it. eighty-five. we will get close to. that will but i think we have good shot at breaking 80 degrees on wednesday. that's the record high. so probably setting new record at least on wednesday afternoon. right now, low and mid 70s, still looks warm everywhere, even up in mount pocono at this hour being check it out.

68 degrees. this is serious warmth out to the west, st. louis 83 degrees already this hour. so that's where all of this warmth is coming from. from the ohio valley, midwest, it is all headed eastward, so if you like warm temperatures you can enjoy conditions through at least wednesday. there are some clouds around, especially north and west of the city. had some showers earlier. they're breaking up, so we should stay dry through the rest of today. there will be couple of cold front. they mainly stay to the north and west, so as long as they stay to the west of us, we will be on the warm side. so 80s again tomorrow, then wednesday, that's our best chance to set some new record highs being, there is a front there, doesn't clear us, stays to the north. then thursday, here comes the next storm system, some clouds will stream in, for thursday afternoon, maybe an isolated shower, this knocks the temperatures back into the 70s, and friday, better chance to see some rain. look at today. up around 80 degrees, lehigh valley, near 70, and the poconos tonight, it is mild, generally in the 60s, to up ear's, could be areas of fog again like we had this morning. and then tomorrow, breaking out into the low 80s, as we get enough sun, could be
