chester university. so what are you hearing. >> reporter: jim, this just in according to the faculty unions, twitter account the faculty union is officially thousand on strike. we were checking out their on line web site as well and that has been overloaded so they say an official press release will be visible very soon. now, both side, both state and union have been talking about this on social media in the overnight hours, both had said they were hoping to reach an agreement and hoping to avoid a strike but that doesn't look like the case today. the union officially now on strike. take a look at the video this strike impacts more than a hundred thousand students at 14 pennsylvania state universities including right here at west chester university. now the faculty union said it was handed the states last and best offer late last night and then union spent overnight hours reviewing the 25 pages. according to the state the offer provided raises to all permanent, tell rare i faculty and provided a health care
