jersey, 42 freeway north bound at creek road to 295 this is what you are working with. not bad. it looks like a lot but overall 42 is looking typical and looking good, jim, over to you. >> thanks, meisha. updating big breaking news, faculty members have gone on strike at 14 pennsylvania state universities. the decision came just moments ago affecting tens of thousands of local college students. some of the schools were teachers will be walking the picket lines, millersville, kutztown, east stroudsburg and west chester. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live at west chester with the immediate reaction, good morning, jan. >> good morning. that is right faculty union went on strike at 5:00 a.m. today at west chester university. you can see a number of professors, faculty members already out here on the picket line. this is had it will look like in ten different locations on campus. we will see a lot of the teachers, here, and to talk about how this will impact operations here at west

chester university. the professor here as well as spokesperson for local union. thanks for being on our show this morning. what is the feeling like with the faculty here this morning stepping off the job. >> there is a lot of solidarity among union members people are committed, we have had 15 months without the a contract. this is a necessary step forward. >> reporter: west chester university has said classes will be opened today, students should go to class if their professor is there or not there they cannot leave. what do you anticipate happening here to take. >> talking about 900 faculty members that is impossible to replace. students hey be showing up but there won't be classes. >> reporter: this will shut down classes for today, as the strike continues. >> we're talking about 17,000 students at west chester, 110,000 students across the state. >> reporter: obviously these professors don't want to be out of their classroom so is what their feeling. >> we recognize this is

good morning, tim. >> there morning there has been a strong police presence around the park and victim a 39 year-old man is recovering at the hospital after being shot multiple times, the situation is upgraded to stable. police are searching for at least two hen who ran away there here this all happened last night, that 39 year-old man was on his bike, stopped by, when he saw this, intended robbery at gunpoint, and police say he said something along the lines of you are not going to rob these people. police say one of the robbers using a revolver shot him, and this happening on the warm fall night, lot of people out and about here at rittenhouse square. neighborhood rarely touched by such violence, very upsetting to those who live here. >> it headaches he very angry because we pay a lot of taxes, on this property. it is a beautiful neighborhood. the cost of living is rather high here. it is looked upon as one of
