and here's is what happening on the campaign trail swings through pennsylvania. tonight crowd are lining up in bucks county to see republican nominee, donald trump. but not everyone is happy about his visit to newtown tonight. good evening i'm ukee washington. i'm natasha brown in for guess contact "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live from newtown where trump is expect in a half an hour or so, david? >> reporter: hi in a cash a people are slowly filing in here. they have to get through security. we saw several thousand people outside, donald trump was at a rally in johnstown pennsylvania, western part of the state earlier and then take the stage tonight but not everyone in newtown is happen bye this tonight because it is on the site of the popular athletic club, in fact, ukee and natasha some people have have cancelled their memberships. thousands waited in line to see donald trump at newtown athletic club but not everyone in town agrees with the venue.

economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. clinton's vice-presidential running mate tim kaine rallied young tells, at penn state this afternoon. he also met with the university student union. later kaine stopped at a creamery, in addition to rallies with hillary clinton in philadelphia on sat take, kaine will also campaign with clinton in the city of pittsburgh. vice-president joe biden stumped for hillary clinton in wilkes barre today. biden weighed in on the sexual misconduct allegations involving donald trump. vice-president says he wished they were in high school so he could take trump behind the gym. count down is on, just more than 17 days new until voters head to the polls. keep it right here on "eyewitness news" for latest on both candidates as we near election day. also this evening, students at 14 pennsylvania state universities, are heading back to class. a tentative deal has been reached between the faculty union and state system of higher education. alexandria hoff was at west chester university, one of the affected schools, help the word came down and striking faculty walk off of the picket line. >> reporter: third day on the picket line for state run university faculty across pennsylvania, came with energy and expectations. >> hopefully things are moving closer to the end. we're thinking we are close to the even. >> reporter: those hopes were validated around 4:00 p.m. a tentative agreement between faculty union members and pennsylvania board of education was sealed with a smile, and put an end to a strike that has stalled learning and consumed campuses of 14 state run university, west chester being the largest. according to the pennsylvania association of state college and university faculty they were able to eliminate 249 contract changes proposed to them by the state, with full-time faculty members opt to go take less than the other bargaining unit state nothing part our primary goals were to preserve quality education for

our students, protect our adjuncts from exploitation and make sure that the varieties of faculty work are respected. >> i would much rather be working then on the picket line. >> reporter: west chester university professor john heelly got emotional when he learned a tentative agreement had been reached. >> i do get emotional. you fight for something, you believe in something. >> reporter: west chester university faculty were prepared to sit out on this home coming weekend and now they don't have to. governor tom wolf was in west chester today and faculty union has expressed gratitude to him for his support. reporting from the campus of west chester university i'm alexandria hoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". philadelphia police continue to investigate charred remains of the dead body, found behind a building in kensington. body was found this morning just before 8:00 a.m. near 2100 block of east allegheny avenue. remains were so burned they could not identify the gender. surveillance camera at nearby

laundromat were not working at the time of the incident. residents complained that increased drug use and crime has fracture the neighborhood and police tell us they have increased officers and support in that area. atlantic city police officer shot in the line of duty is getting better every day. two close friend talked to our cleve bryan, about his road to recovery, and the other ways his fellow brothers and sisters in blue are helping to support him. >> reporter: five weeks ago atlantic city police officer josh fidel gave a smile and thumbs up leading everyone know he was down but not out. >> one thing about josh is he is not a quitter. >> he was responding labor day weekend. after brain surgery he has been in full-time rehabilitation learning how to walk and recover from paralysis on his left side. >> basically put in the exoskeleton and computer teaching him movements just to headache that connection between his brain and legs and arms. >> it is unreal until you see it. >> reporter: officers jesse logan and daniel crammer are

close friend, they are helping support josh's wife and three daughters. youngest was born after he was shot. >> help out with the family. we see him once a week. whatever he needs we have his back. >> reporter: they are not the only ones. the camden county police department wants to raise money for his family and is challenging atlantic city's police and fire department to a charity hockey game. friday camden squad practiced to get ready for atlantic city for an established team. >> we are just looking forward to play in the game and we are looking forward to make i donation to the officer as family and helping them out. >> reporter: game will be this saturday at flyers skate zone in atlantic city. >> get to play for josh and be one of my friends and playing in the charity event for him. very excited. >> reporter: puck will drop around 6:00 saturday night. if you'd like to come out a ten-dollar donation to get in but get here early because they have silent auction and 50/50 raffle and all of the money benefits officer vadell's family.

in atlantic city, cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". memory card full of photos and lost in new york city but found by a south jersey woman has been reunited with its rightful owner. >> no problem, thank you. >> gade witt is from germany and, perform in the orchestra in new york city. he lost the card last week while visiting the 9/11 memorial. tammy, of cape may county found it while doing the same thing. now witt says he is very happy to have his memories back. >> lots of home wrist. >> memory card contained more than 2,000 photos, taken during witt's travels all around the world. so glad he got that back. >> great ending, indeed. >> coming up in three minutes, an accident changed a life and as he knew it.

disabilities. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here with one very, very special success story. >> reporter: wait until you meet walter. more than 5 million people are living with disabilities nationwide, some can't work but many can, and there is a gentlemen in south jersey who is getting all kind of award now you not letting his disability define him. getting out of his heel chair and walking was something that walter was told would never happen. >> i could not to anything, you know, that was just, just so hard, like i didn't want to live. >> reporter: he is thriving now working at home depot where he has been awarded employee of the month and top seller. >> i'm helping people finding things in the store that they have to walk up and down the aisles to find. >> reporter: it was a motorcycle accident ten years ago that initially left walter unable to move his arms and legs. he had been a welder, outdoorsman who looked different then. >> how long was your hair. >> i donated 36-inch toes

this moisture converging on the region mainly lifting from south to north, this front has been taking its time. that meant good news for us. we had bonus day to day, showers proceeding front impacting southern new england. nice little wedge of try air that brought sunshine today but now showers are approaching and they are starting to weaken a little bit in berks county right the now seeing rain, portions of the lehigh valley and poconos as well. we will see scattered showers this evening and tonight in philadelphia but as i will show you the steady showers will come through overnight. temperatures right now still very warm but we're on borrowed time. it is cooling down already in lancaster and reading. we are down to the lower 60's. meanwhile 77 in philadelphia. seventy-two in millville. here's the cool air we are feeling tomorrow only in the 50's in state college, pittsburgh, cleveland, 40's right now in buffalo and here it comes. good news for high school football fans out tonight for friday night lights game of the week looking good. mostly cloudy, there will be a shower possible but 63 degrees

can leave the coats at home, leslie will have have more coming up. future weather showing scattered showers at 8:00. not a wash out but scattered ones out and about but overnight 12:00 a.m. we have heavier rain. that continues through 2:00 a.m. it wraps back around with light showers saturday morning before this system finally wind up, gets out during afternoon hours on saturday. but you'll feel wind gusting to 40 miles an hour tomorrow making highs in the 50's, feel like only the 40's. i mentioned cutting things in half. other day was 86 degrees. the saturday much of the day will feel like maybe 43, temperatures or feels like temperatures have been effectively cut in half by this front and all day saturday not feeling much better than 40's, sunday we will feel whole lot nicer and good news for eagles fans. sunday at 1:62 degrees, cool, brisk, but it is better, nice football weather on sunday afternoon. tonight showers, thunder, windy, worst is overnight so

they're both putting pennsylvania women at risk. even after trump bragged about sexually assaulting women, toomey stood by him. on women's health - both trump and toomey would defund planned parenthood. on abortion: trump: "there has to be some form of punishment" toomey: "i would suggest that we have penalties for doctors who perform them." pat toomey and donald trump: too dangerous for pennsylvania women. bennie logan will test out the his injured groin sunday morning before the game with the vikings but at this point it is unlikely he will play. sunday's game marks return of sam bradford as you know he was traded to the vikings eight days before the start of the season. carson wentz took over for the bird. carson has played well in his first five games winning nfl offensive rookie of the month and sam bradford says he is not surprised. >> you know, i could tell that he wanted to be great. he was committed to coming
