you. katie and meisha, keeping an eye on things this morning, good morning. >> and i hear free coffee from wawa? >> no, dunkin' donuts if you have the app. they'll be showing up at wawa, like what? >> no wonder, okay, fine. they forgot us. good morning, you guys, roadways are looking okay, we do have an accident out there. get to that in just a moment. good news, roadways are still dry. >> the further nor you go, you have a couple of showers rolling through, so places like i78, route 22 maybe, you run into couple of damp roads. notice what's happened now in the last few hours. you can see how things sort of fizzle on the radar. not only the retreat now a little disturbance, but it is just a chance for skies to clear out here as we look forward in the forecast. this disturbance is partly why. we will see the temperatures dropping off. come tomorrow, yet again, so we are seeing at least little respit from the real chill that settled in the first half of the weekends, but it is back for the majority of this week.

for now, just drink it in. it will be pretty nice day, say for this little mar on the forecast earlier this morning. where we currently stand, we can barely break out of the 50's over the course every saturday, already off to very mild start, down in some of the area shore point, wildwood, 61, 45 in mount pocono, definitely cooler start up that way. when you look down the shore here, that winds flow is generally out of the southwest. that does mean that you have got it coming from milder place. so it will help the temperatures to rebounds where they should. that said we expect mid 506's around good portion of the area here, still breezy, don't get me wrong. that's going to be something you notice here with winds speeds as high as even 20 miles per hour, maybe gusts up to 30. up in the mountains it is little cooler partly sunny, high of 48 at best, meisha, over to you. >> katie, thank you so much. good morning, everybody. happy monday. looking at the vine, it was open last night. no construction there. moving in the westbound direction, you can see working there, moving in the eastbound direction, how about it? enjoy it, you have open

roadways some stretches, some starting to heat up, 422, moving in the eastbound direction, near the pa turnpike, what you are looking at there. i would say starting to heat up just little bit on 422, and 95 south at broad street. you can see tail light moving in the southbound direction. what you are looking at here. i would say this looks fairly typical for monday. but it does also show evidence of more and more vehicles on the roadways now that we've gotten to the 5:00 hour. overturned vehicle here in new jersey, route 55 northbound, near glassboro, left lane blocked. not going to slow you down too much right now. you might get little gaper delay, probably brake lights going off, just heads up on this, because we will start to slow down there, if that doesn't get moved out the way. then also construction jersey, 295 southbound between 45 and rep pop owe, jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, kathleen kane's fall from grace continues this morning. in a montgomery county courtroom. >> pennsylvania former attorney general, awaits sentencing after a jury convicted her of leaking grand jury documents, and then lying about it under oath.

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo, live at the montgomery county courthouse in norristown, jan? >> reporter: rahel, jim, good morning, the big question out here in norristown today is will former attorney general of pennsylvania kathleen kane get prison time, house rest or probation. her and her attorneys are hoping for leniency, and they've certainly asked for as much. take a look at the video, kathleen kane is hoping the judge will grant her probation or house arrest, so she can be at home to raise her two teenage sons. kane argues that the loss of her career, law license, and reputation, are more than enough. but prosecutors call her crimes aggregious, and they're pushing for jail time. now this all comes after kane was convicted this summer on all nine counts of perjury and obstruction of justice. during the trial, the prosecution told the story of an attorney general's fall from grace. at first, attorney general kane enjoyed mostly positive press, as she supported gay marriage, and ramped up the child preditor unit. but soon that changed. top deputies and seasoned prosecutors started to leave. prosecutors say a calculated

scheme meant to embarrass rival prosecutor led to leaked grand jury documents. kane had a campaign consultant pass those confidential files to a newspaper reporter. she then tried to frame someone else for the leak. kane did not testify at her august trial. now, her sentencing is scheduled to start here at the montgomery county courthouse right around 10:00 a.m. her sentence could range anywhere from probation to maximum of 12 to 24 years in prison. of course, we will be here to cover it all. for now, live outside montgomery county courthouse norristown, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", rahel, jim, back into you. >> thank you, jan. with just two weeks until election day, hillary clinton and donald trump continue to focus on swing states. >> the democratic nominee spent yesterday in north carolina, the gop candidates is in florida as we report, some of the swing states still up for grabs. >> reporter: hillary clinton crisscrossed north carolina sunday appearing alongside mothers of the movement in raleigh. and blasting donald trump at a rally in charlotte.

florida yesterday, trump continued to question the us voting system. as well as polls showing clinton leading him among women. >> i really think those polls are very inaccurate when it comes to women. i think we're doing better with women than with men, frankly. >> early voting is set to begin in most florida counties today. cbs news. well, tonight is the final of two debates in pennsylvania u.s. senate race, republican pat toomey, seeking re-election will face-off against katie mcginty at the performing art center. debated last week in pittsburgh, polls show the race is a statistical dead heat. a little more than 14 days until election day, "eyewitness news" is following the candidate of campaign 2016 and the outcome if you're not near a tv go on line. >> in other news, teenager recovering after being shot in the face in southwest philly. police tell us the 17 year old boy was shot in broad daylight. it happened yesterday

afternoon in the 7500 block of elmwood street. no arrests have been made in this shooting. >> also, police are investigating the sudden death of two people in south philadelphia. investigators tell us, a neighbor found the man and woman both in their 50's yesterday in the 2700 block of 11th street, they believe both died in the home. no details on a cause of death. >> well, neighbors say, a dog saved its owner's life after fire ripped through their port richmond home. flames broke out around 4:30 yesterday morning, on the 3100 block of memphis street. neighbors say the barking dog woke everyone up when firefighters arrived, they found andrea ballot and her dog were unconscious on the living room floor. >> they found her on the floor in the living room. the dog was on top of her. i guess he had tried to protect her. shea was a good dog so that's what shea did. >> now, ballot suffered burns to more than who have of her body. she is in critical condition. shea is being treated for smoke inhalation, at a local

transporting 44 passengers struck the rear after freightliner truck with a trailer in the number three lane. >> reporter: tour bus returning to los angeles from casino early sunday morning, survivors said most of the passengers were sleeping at the time of the crash. >> majority of people killed were in the front section of the bus. >> reporter: front driver also killed, two vehicles reportedly so mangled rescue hers to use a crane to search for victims. in addition to those killed, dozens more passengers injured and taken to area hospitals. the cause of the crash was not immediately known. the tractor-trailer and other vehicles had slowed down due to maintenance on the roadway according to police. >> there didn't appear to be braking skidmarks from the bus. >> reporter: police also saying that the bus was going significantly faster than the big rig. >> i'll tell you the speed of the bus was so significant that when it hit the back of the big rig, the trailer, the trailer itself entered about 15 feet into the bus. >> reporter: read, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". this story has a lot of

still feels like 56 degrees. that westerly wind flow is likely to pretty much justin through the course of the day with winds speeds that could peak as high as 20 miles per hour. maybe gusts to up 30. meantime, storm scan3 is not totally devoid of any issues here. we had little disturbance rolling through primarily the northern most counties outside of the city. but, we're going to see things brighten one time everywhere. call it partly sunny up around the mountains, overall more sun than anything for most of you. east of the mississippi other than just quiet. this is a very quiet radar. even nationwide. new storm system though starting to nudge into the western united states, and eventually we have to deal with some issues because of that. but for now the jet stream is still call it pretty much just zonal flow is what we call it, means that the flow is basically from west to east, however, we will start to see another drop of cool air sing in that allows the jet stream to drop off. the below average temperatures also become a theme then for the majority, in fact, of our mid week.

and that's where the frost potential comes in. tuesday night, wednesday night specifically, low temperatures are dropping to the low to mid 30's, around pretty much the board. so, everyone's got that possibility, so make sure the pets come inside for the night, and that you at least cover up your mums or any other sensitive plants with a clot, maybe bring them inside from the front porch for the night. current winds speeds, little too strong for fos to -- frost to form. regardless, breeze that you will notice throughout the course of the day. i mentioned earlier those gust cost peak as high as 306789 but it is a normal day. for mid to late october, 64, sunshine, a breeze, hey we will take t later tonight though we do drop down to chilly 43. that's just the beginning, folks. take a look at where we ends up. come tomorrow right through thursday temperatures at best into the mid and upper 50's, thursday is our necessary best shot to see rain move in. primarily to me looks at this point like it is a p.m. issue. then another shot for rain coming along this weekend, with yet another frontal passage. meisha? >> katie, authorities believe we will be turning on the heat

instead of the air conditioners. weird. look at the blue route, guys. tail light hoeffel in the northbound direction, looking good, everywhere we look is looking good. holding steady. but you are starting to heat up lit bit. we look at the roadways, see how many vehicles are starting to get out there. this is a look at the schuylkill. taillights eastbound direction. this is past belmont avenue. you can see both moving in the eastbound and westbound side. way out in the westbound side, right up here, you can see, how many vehicles are making their way down. so just heads up on that, the schuylkill will get very busy. usually does. specially monday through wednesday. ninety-five, headlights moving in the southbound direction, past betsy ross. see what you are working with here. again, really starting to heat up on interstate 9a don't need to leave your homes early but you might have to moving into the 6:00 hour if you have to wait until the kids get out to school. certainly give yourselves extra time. then overturned vehicle in jersey, route 55 northbound, near glassboro, left lane still block, let you know as soon as that clears. whenever we have overturned vehicle, you will have more flashing lights out there. it can slow you down.
