>> her car stolen with her 6-year-old child inside. but first. >> this is not going to intimidate us. >> a bucks county family's home one of two hit by vandals with a message. a harsh one against the republican party and a pennsylvania candidate. both houses sit directly across the street from u.s. senator pat toomey's home. >> reporter: by the signs dotting their front yard, it's obvious the family is closely following this year's races, both nationally and locally. but now it's the graffiti on the side of their homes which has the family's attention. >> it disappoints me that the people are acted like this.

>> i saw that on my neighbor's house. >> reporter: and the family realized their home was also tagged with anti-republican messages. >> it's shocking disbelief seeing something so terrible. >> reporter: the pennsylvania state police was investigating. why exactly were these targeted. >> reporter: they say they are fine and won't let this crime affect their votes this november. >> we're not taking the signs down, in fact i feel like putting more signs up. >> reporter: katy mcginty also

leaking secret grand jury information and lying about it under oath. she stepped down from the attorney general's office shortly thereafter. developing right now the pennsylvania legislation has approved legislation to alieu ride share operation to operate in pennsylvania. governor wolf promised to sign the legislation when it comes to his desk. the governor also said two thirds of revenues derived from ride sharing in philadelphia will go towards the school district. >> a mother's trip to the atm turns into a nightmare. police say the woman got out of her car at frankford avenue just before 9:00 tonight. her 6-year-old was in the car and that's when a man jumped into the car and took off. police say the suspect stopped a few blocks away when he realized a child was inside the car. he did run off with the woman's wallet but the child was not hurt. officials in state college say fans celebrating penn

state's win over ohio state took things too far. police say out of control fans cost about $18,000 in damage to public property. fans reportedly destroyed multiple street lights and ripped down 20 street signs. no word yet on how much damage was done to private property, however we do know a car was damaged and furniture was set on fire. >> temple students hit by violence on campus. eyewitness news reporter trang do was on temple's campus with reaction. >> reporter: these students and their families are under understandably shaken. some are calling for the university and police to do more to protect students. surveillance video captured a mob of kids brutally beating and robbing three students near the intersection of oxford and carlisle streets friday night. this video shows employees of a pizza reia helping a girl get to safety. >> my heart dropped, my worst

fear happened. i never want to receive that call from my daughter and find out she was beaten black and blue, stomped on, kicked in the head. it was just phenomenal. it was beyond my whiildest dreams. >> the brother of another victim who asked us not to use his name said his brother was kicked in the face repeatedly and lost a tooth. >> he's very traumatized and so was his overall some two hours after the first attack. >> under-exaggerated, honestly. they could have done a better job informing the students. >> reporter: temple's executive director of public safety responded to the criticism. >> it was one of those

at the union league and you can see the heavy damage left behind. our nicole brewer is outside the union leg in center city where all day people would not talk about what they were seeing. >> reporter: from turning heads to straching them, some folks couldn't figure out how the suspect managed to pull this thing off. first ripping the rail from its foundation, carrying it down broad street, but the most shocking part of this story may be the fact that experts say it wasn't worth the trouble. >> that is horrible. >> reporter: on south broad street, some weren't sure what to make of this. >> i have no idea. >> it's disturbing. >> reporter: pieces of an iconic philadelphia building scattered on the sidewalk. the grand entrance of the historic union league. a representative tells eyewitness news surveillance video shows a man ripping the

marriage proposal. principals albert is considering plans for the home that could include a museum space or offices for the family's foundation. >> kate joins us now with our forecast, we are expecting rain, much cooler temperatures. >> much cooler. yes, the coldest night of the season so far is on tap tomorrow night. so if you don't have the coats or the gloves, the kids might want them on wednesday morning. we are talking about a major drop in temperatures as cold air filters in from the north and west and when the system catches up with that cold, parts of our area, i'm talking far north parts, could even see a few snow flakes and that will be on thursday morning. we'll talk about that in just a moment. it's a cool night but not as cool as it's going to be. temperatures are down in the 50s right now. clear skies over center city philadelphia tomorrow. you'll feel a little bit of a

difference in the atmosphere. it's going to be a drastically cooler day today. there's not a whole lot going on. we're widely zoomed out over the northeast right now but you can kind of see where the wind is coming from, the lake effect rain and snow showers over new york state an indication the rains are coming in over the north and west and that's the cool air filtering into the area. we're still in the 50s right now, it's not too bad. you can see how cool it is to the north and west. it's only 45 in state college, 45 in buffalo and 45 in scranton and those cooler temperatures are moving south and eastward and will be upon us through the next few days as the jet stream sinks to the south and all this cold air, you can see the deep blue and purple over canada, that gets brought down into the northea northeast. we've been close to average here today and yesterday, not the case for the next few days. average high 64. we'll be lucky to get to the mid

50s by wednesday. it's late tomorrow night into wednesday morning that that coolest night of the season i mentioned takes hold and we already have a freeze watch issued for much of the area. upper bucks and montgomery counties, chester county, interior south jersey as well as the lehigh valley included in the freeze watch. any spot in the blue shaded area will see lows below freezing. cold is right before sunrise. expect frost and possible damage to any sensitive plants. here's the problem, here comes that system. the poconos, maybe the northern lehigh valley could start with snow or wintry mix. by 8:00 a.m. we start to see this change over to all rain and in philadelphia and surrounding areas this will only be rain. but the further north you go, the better chance you have of seeing a few flakes early thursday morning. i can't believe we're talking about snow flakes coming off a week in the 80s, but that's how overages are formed guys. let's take a look at the 7-day forecast. wednesday, cold morning, chilly
