5:46 am
to produce some snow the further nor you g cooler than average in general. meanwhile far off to the west, rockies on west, next system eventually will cross, next round every rain, that's out there too. that's going to get here come thursday. but let me very quickly step in with the eyewitness weather watchers. we check in with these guys. we've got temperatures predominantly into the 40's, pretty much region wide. couple of outline ers like the 38 degrees mark coming in from mark, he's out in chatsworth, new jersey. peter, though, coming in at 43 degrees, he's got couple of clouds out in the lawrenceville area just across into pennsylvania, you have 46 coming in from megan this morning, did send in picture, see what we got here, looks like picture from yesterday, actually, just some clouds out there, so, certainly is some cool air in place. meanwhile, we go to one more. i'm going to take you bit further off to the south into new jersey, 42 degrees comes in from john carol also with just few clouds. moving it back to the maps. we take things forward. specifically thursday morning, and specifically up toward the
5:47 am
mountain us terrain. this could start off as a little bit of snow or ice. it will turn over to rain. but right now it, looks like the time something there that the warmfront ironically enough lifts in, it is still cold enough it would start off as some ice or snow. so the i08 corridor, thereabouts, if that's where your travels take you, could be slick thursday morning. but look at what happens here. again, this is initializing that scenario pretty well thursday morning. but then, the rain takes over, as the warmth, quote unquote, builds in, everybody else expecting rain, pretty much any time throughout the day. this will linger even into the nighttime hours. by friday though, skies are clearing out, then come saturday another shot for couple of rain showers. meisha? >> katie, thank you so much. i can tell you guys right now we are starting to heat up on the roadways. because of, that because so many vehicles hitting the roadway, we are getting some problems out there, this is our first one, big one, we have an accident, reports of a tractor-trailer, and a fire involving injuries, involving actually multiple commercial vehicles in and around this area, you guys. this is northeast extension
5:48 am
north at lansdale, all lanes block, you will have to use this alternate route 309 northbound your best bet. this is back up shot as still camera shot back up at lansdale. you can see how many vehicles are out, there and how much that's going to slow you down. if if you are anywhere around this area, avoid it, give yourselves extra time, i would say, an extra half hour to 45 minutes, at least, at this point. and it is only, you know, 5:45 in the morning. so you will be slowed down in the area. also another accident here. city avenue southbound before the schuylkill. you are reduced to one lane. and it is still dark out there. so we have the cars kind of sipping around here, then they're being forced off to the right. the problem is or i should say actually the good thing is, is because there are so many vehicles on the roadway right now, not seeing them whip around this corner like we were, and having to slam on the brakes. just too much congestion in the area right now. but, because there are so many vehicles, heads up to you at home if you are just tuning in, you want to give yourselves extra time here because you will be slowed down, city avenue about the schuylkill. some construction northeast extension speaking of northbound between lansdale,
