delay. check on line before you leave your homes if i were you. construction 42 southbound ramp to 295 is closed until right around now so hopefully that is just clearing out of your way. jim and rahel, back to you. one person is killed in the house fire in chester county. >> we're hearing it is a real challenge for fire fighters to get the flames under control. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live a at the scene this birmingham township, justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. this is a remote area so that presents its own challenges but state and local fire marshals have been here combing through the scene searching for a cause in what is a a fatal house fire. looking at the aftermath here overnight in birmingham township, chester county, we are north of the brandywine creek state park. it took an hour to knock this fire down in what was a cold overnight fire fight. tanker trucks hauled in what the tore keep hosing down flames and hot spots after a house on the the 1300 block of south birmingham road. first call to the fire came in

close to 11:10 last night and minutes before midnight a call for the medical examiner. a sad sign of one life lost. and just before 2:00 a.m. we are told a loved one arrived here to identify the remains of that lone fire victim. of course, the investigation continues this morning, looking now live inside of this home as you can see tremendous amounts of damage here of what appears to be the kitchen and foyer area here this morning. we are told that the search for a cause of this fire may take sometime just because of the damage inside here, it is so badly. we have seen here on the scene what appears to be a smoke alarm here. no word if that was functioning at the time of this fire, again, one person dead, search for a cause remains active this morning. rahel and jim back to you. >> thanks very much, justin. another fire overnight is just one in center city high rise. "eyewitness news" at the 13th and lombard just after 2:00. fire was limited to an outside balcony. fire fighters put out those flames quickly and no one was

died on a water ride. the accident happened at dream world a popular theme park in cleveland. they were on thunder river rapid and rushed through a manmade river. two rafts collided and threw victims in the conveyor belt. two men and two women died. two children were then from the raft but they survived. it seems from what my eyes scene, it is a miracle anybody came out of that. we should be thankful for that? police are promising a full investigation and even say charges could be filed in the the case. "eyewitness news" has an exclusive look at what former pennsylvania attorney general, kathleen kane's life will be like once she's in jail. kane was sentenced to ten to 23 months for leaking grand jury information earlier this week. she's free, while she appeals and if and when she serves time she will do it at montgomery county correctional facility in eagleville.

this is what it looked like inside the jail, kane could choose to be in the general population and could likely get a job sweeping, mopping or she could be placed in protective custody but those inmates are significantly limited in what they can do. >> with a protective custody type classification she would have capability of coming out of her cell during the course of the day unless we are doing a head count. >> kane was at the jail briefly after her sentence was handed down. it took her family 45 minutes to raise $75,000 bail to get her out. a lot more to come there. katie joins us now. i'm in the gloves, scarves, in like september. >> oh, yeah. >> but yesterday, other people downtown i was walking my dogs i saw people hats, gloves, scarves. >> you know what, tis the season. the this is time of the year you you can see difference, variance and extremes as well. we have a 70-degree day. it will be a highlight for many of you of the forecast but today not enclose.
