now rain is on and off throughout the philadelphia region. looking at the forecast with katie fehlinger, looks like you don't have umbrella yet? >> you know what's interesting? we have this nice bright light shining at me, and through the light i see a couple of raindrops beginning to fall, not sure if you will be able to see that on camera or not. but just the very combination of it right now at high noon, in philadelphia, and when we start things off just by looking at the regional map, yes, i'm one of certainly many spots that are not seeing rain. but off to the north and west here, that rain is starting to not just encroach, but take over the area maps. now, off to the north, we do still have little freezing rain to the point national weather service decided i better extend this freezing rain advisory, up through carbon, monroe, portions of the poconos, have freezing rain advisory lasting until 2:00 this afternoon, it had been expected to expire at 11:00 but just still right on the verge of freezing up that way in mount pocono, at 31, so understandably they've left that freezing rain advisory in place. at the moment, though, well into the 50's, in many spots,

persistent. really just need cold front to wipe through our hands clean and be done with it, will take few more hours, bear with us, rest of the day not looking awesome. i don't think you are talking about a deluge necessarily, but it is very dreary, even if it is not raining right now, and once it does start raining either light rain within that, there could be some heavier pockets, perhaps a rumble of thunder along the way, too, but kind of run of the mill system. all things considered. let's take you outside. show you what's happening. one of the pocono cameras, like this shot for couple of reasons, first off, the lake, you can see, kind of dreary obviously off in the distance, you can tell there has been some rain in the area, still is, in fact, some rain in the area, i also like the fact you have the fall foliage right in n the for grounds here, beautiful colors to the trees, off in the distance, just dreary fall afternoon, that's unfolding for us here. meanwhile, to one of our far southeastern cameras we go, live neighborhood network, outside middle township high school, very gray sky, one spot been devoid of any wet weather so far. pretty decent breeze thaw, in

advance of the cold front that's on the way. you're at pair of five's currently for the temperature there, and the winds beginning to pick up. that's also going to be theme of the forecast through tomorrow. but, this is the system that we need to cross through, pretty heavy moisture, off to the northwest, really just dealing with the cold front passage, but again, there is some moisture to work with, so we could end up with heavier rain pockets within what's going to fall. you see that reflected pretty well here as we take a look just at the travel for the next few hours, you are out and about, the kids are coming out home from school on the bus, this is going to slow you down, some heaviest pockets of rain here, region wide, essentially, right through three, four, five, six, seven, eight, 9:00 perhaps even, here tonight. then, it starts to clear out. kate might even still have something to track come 11:00 tonight on "eyewitness news", but regardless this system itself will be pushing through, we clear it out pretty rapidly, and by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, we should have nice clear sky. but the winds will be picking up. take a look, 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, already going to see gusts that perhaps even climb into the 30's, that continues through the

overnight. maybe couple of oddball 40 plus mile per hour gusts to report. before it is all said and done, through the day, the hours tick by on friday, with wind gusts that again peak as high as the 20's if not 30's, so very blustery, secure anything you need to, whether it is on the patio or the front porch, if you have couple of pumpkins, maybe light weight ones made out of not sure what the material is, but very light weight. i found a a lot of pumpkins, winds blowing them off the porch may want to seep them secure, eventually we see not just the wind taper off but the temperatures rebounds, that's because the jet stream lift north by this weekend, wonderful timing right? look at this, saturday is lovely, some sunshine, high hits 70, we get new sunday, high of 67. this is when the next front comes along as we mentioned earlier on, watch for shower from that specially late in the day. halloween itself though looks nice, crisp, sunny, beautiful, call it spooky sunshine. high hits 60, yes, looks like it is ready for trick-or-treat that
