east. still, heads up if you're in new jersey right now and some of the suburbs. some of these storms have a history of being severe. good evening, everyone, i'm natasha brown. let's good to meteorologist lauren casey and she's tracking storms as they make the approach. lauren. >> thanks, natasha, heads up parts of new jersey and the shore and the line of strong no more severe thunderstorms warnings one just expired for the philadelphia metro at 6:30 and potent thunderstorm active sti and line racing at 50 to 55 and these storms are cruising and they will be overhead quickly as they continue to move eastbound into interior parts of new jersey and down the shore. very heavy rainfall imbedded within the line. frequent lightning and the possibility of 50 to 55 mile an hour wind gusts and winds gusty when this cell rolled into center city philadelphia and moving eastbound parts of new jersey and heavy rain from trenton and mount laurel and war witch and they will continue to race east 50 to 55

>> drivers can say good-bye to cheap gas prices in new jersey on tuesday. the long tradition will be over thanks to a gas tack hike that is set to take affect on friday. the average price of gallon of gas was $2.04. on tuesday a 23 cents a gallon gas tax will kick in. lawmakers say the money raised from the hike will go to funding the state transportation project. >> infrastructure on the roads are so bad deteriorating to such an extent in new jersey that ft. money is dedicated to refurbishing that, i would feel okay about the price hike. >> those who oppose the price hike argue that the 23 cents a gallon increase could rise in the future if revenue targets are not met. >> now the night before hall owe bone it's often marked with acts of vandalism and other crimes as well known as mischief night and in camden police and city leaders are trying to change all that.
