good morning. >> reporter: rahel, jim, that's right. zooming in just a few moments, we are told, now, will they reach a deal or not? the answer could commas late as 12:01 a.m. but either way, septa and now the city are staying that now is the time to start planning. let's take you now to video here. transport workers union local 234 had stock up on picket signs for it roughly 5,000 members. their bus, trolley, subway workers who contract run out at midnight want new deal to address reforms to their health care, wages and working conditions. a strike of course could ground bus, trolley, market frankford train service. worse ers in a different union, but expect delays. now, talks began in july. >> this month the union authorized strike and septa then put out its con ten jen is he plan l post updates on line f city hall to the union hall, everyone is watching what happens next.

accident, pretty serious one, 59 north past broad, involving entrapment. one person transported to the hospital. >> taillights northbound direction, at broad. and you can see how how significant they are. and every single minute, that ticks by, heavier and heavier. avoid the area altogether if you can. if you can't and you have to go out there i would say add at least 45 minutes to your drive this morning, as you will just come right up to this, and you'll be stopping. good news, all lanes are not block. you industrial driveable lane or two. it is kind of intermittent changes on the far left side. however, it is still going to slow you down just because of shear volume of vehicles out on the roadways right now. plus, you guys, in septa, lansdale doylestown running 30 minute delays because of a problem, power problems, so you will have to use these outbound platforms between north hills and pennbrook. i'll be tweeting that

information out, and we have a car fire on the pa turnpike eastbound past willow grove. that's not all. move coming in up in ten minutes. >> down to the wire. negotiations are underway right now trying to avoid a septa strike. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch live in center city what's keeping two sides from grieving breaching an agreement? good morning, justin. >> good morning, post halloween scare that no one wants to see. septa workers walking off job, on to the picket lines, rallying for new contract. let's take you now to video of the picket posters already made for the member, calling for reform to their pensions, healthcare, wage and working conditions. the current contract runs out at inned night, if there is no new deal, walk out begins thereafter. a strike of course would cripple commutes for thousands starting tomorrow morning. but, trolley and rail service on the broad street line and

market frankford lines would be grounded. in passing before the the union's 2009 strike stretched almost a week, and then some 40 days. now these talks began back in july then this month local 234 members authorized a strike, should no deal hit the table. and septa then began putting together its strike contingency plan. back out live septa will updates plans on line as to how talks are going we have been told we've been pointed when both sides being far apart at times. septa and the city are remaining optimistic, and of course mayor said if called upon he will step in to help broker some kind of deal again should he be invited. we are live in center city, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", rahel, jim, back to you. >> you know, 5,000 employees in that union, a lot of people. >> big, big. in other news this morning, police are looking for the person who shot a temple university student wasn't paint ball gun in north philadelphia.

this happened yesterday at 15th and diamond streets. campus officials closed down the area for little bit trying to prevent any more injuries. we also are being told by police they're trying to get a warrant to search area houses for a suspect. the jury in the george washington bridgegate scandal could get the case today once closing arguments wrap up. the attorney for bridget kelly former aid to governor chris christie will make his case. she and bill barone are accused of deliberately creating gridlock on the bridge. bowl kelly anbar own testified they were told it was part of a traffic study. >> and bill cosby heads back to court tomorrow for a pretrial hearing in his sexual assault case. prosecute letters ask the judge to allow 13 other women to testify about their encounters with cost bee. the defense is arguing against it. saying the comedian is legally blind and cannot recognize his accusers in massive manhunt out in oklahoma ends with gunfire, as police track down man suspected in the string of violent crime. police began searching for
