>> septa strike is now in day number two and negotiators are working to make sure it does not go in day three. justin finch is talking to commute tours see how they are coping but lets get to jan carabao live from the sheraton in center city where jan, both side will try to hammer out a new deal, good morning. >> reporter: rahel and jim, good morning, no negotiations right now they are expecting to begin again this morning in the sheraton in center city philadelphia later today but septa did release a statement overnight saying they are making significant progress in these negotiations but with an agreement not in place talks will resume today. lets look at video being brought into move things along congressman bob brady, he tells "eyewitness news" that the two side have been talking through a mediator but they are moving in the right direction. septa and local 234 resume negotiations late yesterday after 5,000 members of the transport workers union went on strike early in the the day. main sticking points are work rules, health care benefits

and biggest issue of all pensions. strike is in day number two, it is sidelines septa's buses, trolleys, subways leaving hundreds of thousands scrambling to find other ways to work and school. beside that getting to the poles on election day less than a week away is a growing concern, congressman brady is worried that the extra minutes or hours it now takes to get to and from work will leave people little will time to get out and vote. >> you still got to get up an hour or two earlier and get to work and kid to work and that hour or two early to get out on the street is before 7:00. then we're in trouble. i don't know how long it toes to get home from from work but you might in the be home. it is and inconvenience and it scars me. >> reporter: with that said septa does have a contingency plan in case this strike approaches election day. septa says quote, if we foresee an agreement will not come to pass they seem to enjoin the strike for november t the strike does not prevent

carrying an unlicensed gun an marijuana authorities tell us that hoff was pulled over for speeding, according to court documents when an officer approached the car he smell marijuana. we are told hoff turn over marijuana and told the officer about the unloaded gun. hoff's attorney fortune perry tells "eyewitness news" that hoff is very upset. >> obviously he is very disappointed at what is going on here but again it is early on in the situation. we have not had a chance to look at allegations. >> perry tells "eyewitness news" that josh hoff was released on $25,000 bail. we don't know if hoff had a permit for the gun in another state but new jersey has strict gun laws. eagles fans and teammates are talking about hoff's arrest, some are rallying around him, some are asking what was he this i go? but you know the question on most fans minds, will he be suiting up on sunday. >> you would think these guys would be a little bit more careful.

lays, by friday, so much cooler, in all caps for you, you'll see just how cool it will get, again later in the show. meisha. >> all right, katie, thank you so much. good morning everybody. happy wednesday. all right. we are talking about the septa strike and how that is affecting your commute this morning and so far it absolutely is. what is happening is more vehicles on the roadways because they could use septa or predominantly state away all together. what is happening more vehicles, we will get some accidents. we did have an accident, that is just cleared, but woodhaven road eastbound at route 13 that right lane compromised, that was just happening just minutes ago, all of a sudden all that backup tension has now dissipated. that is a great sign for both in that neck of the wood. however, take a look, we have another accident that has not moved out and look at how quickly they can arrive. woodhaven road eastbound cleared but this one on the westbound schuylkill city
