right now. natasha, good afternoon. >> well, we can tell you right now, septa, cwu local 234 members are back at the bargaining table here behind me in center city, trying to hash out deal this afternoon, after talking with sources now on both sides of the negotiation process, finally getting a sentiment of positive news, at least, we understanded there is good communication going on, and there is certainly cautious optimism a deal could be reached very soon. let's take it down when it started 12:01 a.m. tuesday, when septa officials officially went on strike, creating gridlock, throughout the city, as buses, trolleys, and trains, stopped rolling. at issue here, pension, healthcare, septa presented proposal yesterday evening, with union officials say quickly rejected, and there is now a new plan, a new deal, that's being muscled over, at this hour. and both sides, again, seem to feel confident that there is positive movement here, and a

lot of give and take, we understand, is happening. real effort to try to ultimately hash out some kind of a deal this afternoon. so, right now, union sources telling us, there is good communication on both sides. and that's certainly good news specially for thousands of passengers whose lives have clearly been uprooted and disrupted in light of the strike. now in day two. that's the very latest for now, we stay on top of this, bring you the latest throughout our newscast, natasha brown, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> thanks, that the tasha. commuters town deal with the effect of the septa strike, and that means, slow going once again all around the city and across the region.
