pennsylvania is among the most important races ape also the senate race. the on the sun day before election day we want to take time to go deeper away from the headlines to talk about the issues. joining us is democratic strategies jonathan saidel and republican analyst allison young. jonathan, allison, good morning. >> good morning. >> first jonathan you and i were talking about this according to some reports 15 percent of the hearn public still undecided. real quickly your thoughts on that. >> i don't know whether it is 15 percent. some people don't respond to polling but i can understand, it, it is a major decision in their lives and something they should take seriously. hopefully they will, vote for hillary clinton.
8:22 am
>> i think it is higher then that. it is closer to 20 percent, still in motion and both candidates are spending so much time here in pennsylvania and in the south east trying to sway those voters undecided. that is odd. it is an exciting part of this election. so much is still this ocean. >> so a lot of people out there that are still deciding. we have a couple shore days. the lets start with the presidential race, and look at how hillary clinton and donald trump stand on the issues. the let's start with national security and threat of ice is here at home. jonathan, lets start with you. >> it is one of the things that as a country we need to be concerned about. i don't think it is a democrat or republican issue. i know hillary clinton is very forceful this her objection of american power throughout the world and whatever isis does we have to destroy it. i think we have to create a middle east everyone can tiehl with, a tell rance and level of caring about different religions and different segments and we have to be, very careful about those that
8:23 am
enter other country and i think hillary will have the best opportunity to to that and best experience of everyone i have seen that rhawn this is last couple of years. >> jonathan is just wrong on this. >> stop it. >> anytime you are secretary of state we have seen proliferation of ice is, we have seen, this around the world and particularly, republican voters, and those undecided voters are asking are we safer now then we were eight years ago when president obama took office is this are we better office then we were. people are saying no. when they are reflecting it. they are saying no. your communities are not avenuer, our nation isn't safer. i think donald trump and trump campaign have been really been saying we need to make america safer again and thinks how we will dot. we will stop the spread of islam i can terrorism. clinton come trick has been just to contain it. i think voters understand. that that is why they are looking for something different. on national security that is a strong point for trump campaign good when you say he says we will stop the spread
8:24 am
of ice is, in had ways has he said he will do that. >> i don't speak for trump campaign on their national security issues but one of the things that is most powerful about the the trump campaign national security he has support of our military. over 80 generals, endorsed donald trump and they have come to his defense. one of the scariest things that is happening out there is that we talk to members of our military they are fearful, about what hillary clinton presidency mean for our men and with men serving the country right now. i think national security, and the support that donald trump has surround himself with is a real strength for this canned good abortion, next, hillary clinton her stan. >> i think we have common sense approach, roe v. wade is the constitutional responsibility of the the way our system works now. it has work well. it is, i think, a necessary part have of our society that you know, we have always had a balancing effect when it came to supreme court issues.
8:25 am
let me just say one thing everything that was said about foreign policy of clinton, of president clinton, i think is just misinformation and it is a sad day that the foreign policy of our country becomes a partisan issue with donald trump. >> even that, you cannot fun iran tiehl this has come out of this administration. there is bad foreign policy that has been disastrous for the country. >> we're not talking iran. >> on abortion there is a real defining moment, in this campaign and that was vice-presidential debate, when hike pence hade his entire closing argument about, his pro life stance and what the role faith playness. that donald trump has said he will seek to nominate just to advertise zest that will overturn roe v. wade. it is a differential point in this campaign, and it is one of the things that voters have a clearly define choice on. candidates are completely different. that represents a choice for
8:26 am
voters this time around. >> very different candidate. the lets talk about the qualifications of actually serving as president, and temper hunt, jonathan, start with you with clinton. >> i have been in politics over 40 years and i have never seen a candidate like donald trump in the history of high experience and history of this country. completely unfit to be president of the united states. the ideals that made this country great. today i watched whether my fellow veterans. when i look at donald trump, even nominee for major party, it is absolute disgusting and, series of misinformation, could have been other candidates qualified. hillary clinton has proven over and over again under extreme pressure that she can dot job and will do job for my children and grandchildren which is why i'm here this morning. >> allison i would assume you disagree with that. >> i do. >> oh, high god. >> i think hillary clinton has proven time and time again that she has disqualified. with the proliferation of the
8:27 am
terrorism around the world, the greater impact isis is having, and the way that she has, through her foreign policy and through some of the things that happened touring her tenure as secretary have of state she has been trying to make our military irrelevant. it is just disastrous. i think what she's fun. ly benghazi, all of these things, she's disqualified herself from the position. thing about temperament that is challenging this election there are challenges on both side. what voters have is an opportunity to look at the what the policies are that they really want to look for. i get the challenges on both side. i fully acknowledge that. their policies are different. that gives voters a choice. >> so, looking to another big race in pennsylvania, is that the race republican incumbent pat toomey and katie mcginty lets talk about a couple big issues, hell care being one with the premiums increasing this week. >> look, i think that, we have
8:28 am
to be spotsible. you cannot make a piece of legislation that effects all of us and tit is not working completely the way it should be you have to do a technical correction. i don't think you throw baby out with the bat water. have one believes that every individual in this country should have health care. once we believe that we have to make sure it works and we have to accept the fact that there is a i lit built of the problem. the katie mcginty understands that. we have to have responsible decision making processes, and in the is that the they voted 50 times to do away with the obama care. they are using it as a political football which my lawyer collogue will disagree but she's here to disagree with me anyway. >> responsible decision headaching is i think a strange argument for jonathan to be making here because what obama care has ton is take away decision making from patients and put it in the hand of d.c. by crats. responsible decision making that the argument does president hold for me. obama care has been a real challenge, senator toomey has said time and time again that
8:29 am
he wants to repeal obama care. where is katie mcginty has been a liberal rubber stamp. everything that clinton supports she supports, where as senator toomey has proven on second amendment, on keeping our nation's safe, growing our economy he is an independent bipartisan their and supported by both republicans and democrats. >> allison and jonathan very different viewpoints and candidates. we appreciate you being here. we no there are people undecided so hopefully this helps with our decision just two days away. stay with "eyewitness news" for final push of campaign 2016. we are with you on air and on line on cbs philly.com. we will be right
