gearing up for election day, and in less than 12 hours, millions of voters will head to the polls in our region. are we ready for is what sure to be an historic election, philadelphia election officials have a message for voters concerned about any potential problems at the polls. good evening are one i'm jessica dean. aim ukee washington. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is in south philadelphia with what you need to know tonight, david. >> reporter: hi ukee and guess contact polling locations like one behind me in south philadelphia firehouse will open up at 7:00 in the morning. philadelphia officials say that the city is ready and anybody who thinks election will be rigged in philadelphia is wrong. hold back the blue curtain and find more than a year of ads, debates, argument and dinner table conversations right there in front of you. >> election day in the city our size with more than a million voters, it is a turbulent day. >> reporter: philadelphia city

commissioner al schmidt in charge of the elections does not want you to worry. his team has been working for months to make sure things go as plan. schmidt has spent a lot of time recently defending the process in philadelphia after this comment from donald trump. >> i just hear such reports about philadelphia. we have to make sure that we're protect. >> reporter: it wasn't just one time, trump frequently tells his supporters that the election will be rigged. he mentioned philadelphia, and city commissioner lisa dealy won't have it. >> they might be that candidate's first rodeo but it is not ours. we're ready for tomorrow. >> reporter: last thursday pennsylvania state police raided two local offices of fieldwork, a grass roots organization that canvases for democratic candidates. >> it is an ongoing investigation so we will be interested to see what they uncovered. >> reporter: talks of hacking in the the voting machine in philadelphia, impossible according to schmidt, they are not connect to the internet. >> it is like hack nothing to a companieser oven, you could not possibly.

the these are old machines. it is problems with having older technology but in this election whether it is concerns about hacking and things like that it is a real benefit. >> reporter: one of the signs that actually old technology is a positive things, if you get in the booth tomorrow and don't feel comfortable paper ballots are always available at every polling site. just ask for one. reporting live in south philadelphia, david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". the hillary clinton campaign is holding aing about rally on independent mall in philadelphia. the candidate will be joined by her house pan the former president as well as president obama and first lady. bruce springsteen and jon bon jovi are performing. rally has led to road closures in olde city, right now market street is closed from fourth to seventh street, and fifth street closed between arch and market street and then sixth street is also shut down from arch, to chestnut street. it will be a live look at independent mall from chopper

to build two new casino, closer to new york city. supporters hope to grab gambling revenues loss to casinos in pennsylvania and new york. our other top story tonight septa buses are running during the evening rush for the first time in six days. the transit agency and transport workers union have reached a tentative agreement, just in time for election day. "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden joins us now in center city with more on the gradual roll out of buses, subways and trolleys, joe. >> reporter: ukee, as expect, septa at this point is slow to get up to speed, rush hour is really a mess, we could have used those buses, trains, to move people tonight, there is grid lock all across center city but we're talking a deal reached after a very long six days. in what was a six day long battle of the wills, the officials on both side of the september strike say a fair deal was reach. >> i'm just absolutely

related excuses not the to vote. on sometimes it is cold, sometimes it the is raining but not this year. it is perfect better to get outside, wait in line, you may not be complaining too much to be outside this 66 degrees weather, with sunshine just a beautiful tuesday, on deck. lets take a look what is happening right now talking about beautiful a great shot of the sky line from the go pro cam at cbs broadcast center. notice how dark, that shot looked different on friday, but, now that the sunnies setting, of course an hour earlier thanks to the end of the daylight savings time yesterday. speaking of sunset lets look at that beautiful time lapse from the palmyra cove nature park camera that started at noon, here comes the sun, starts to go lower and lower in the sky and after about 5:00 p.m. it drops below horizon. it will get beautiful colors, backdrop of the city there. 48 degrees in palmyra. it is chilly outside but that is what you get on a clear calm evening like the one we have in progress. temperatures dropping rapidly overnight, and then tomorrow.
