right now at 11:00, philadelphia's independence hall the back drop for a star-studded rally. hillary clinton makes her final case to the voters of pennsylvania. and donald trump making his final blitz before the voters head to polls. in just 24 hours we could know who will be the president of the

united states. i'm yukee washington. >> i'm jessica dean. tens of thousands of people gathered on independence mall tonight. they rallied on behalf of hillary clinton and we have live team 3 coverage. we begin with natasha brown. she has more on this election eve. >> reporter: good evening to you both. a star-studded show of support here along independent mall from entertainers to political power houses all trying to get out the vote on the eve of this very important election. a sea of supporters more than 30,000 turned out in the shadows of independence hall. new jersey's own jon bon jovi and bruce springsteen entertained the crowd while interjecting their support for hillary clinton. in the final hours leading up to

the election hillary clinton brought political heavy hitters in a show of solidarity. she was joined by her husband, her daughter, and president barack obama and first lady michelle obama. one final push in the battleground state of pennsylvania. >> i am betting that tomorrow you will reject fear and you'll choose hope. i'm betting that the wisdom and decency and generosity of the american people will once again win the day. >> there is a clear choice in this election. a choice between division or unity. between an economy that works for everyone or only those at the top. between strong, steady leadership, or a loose cannon who could put everything at risk. >> reporter: the rally seemed to

energize voters in the crowd. >> i am here for hillary. that's the right way to go and i was glad i was part of this democratic canvas here. >> it was absolutely incredible to be here listening to a past president, a current president and hopefully a future president. >> reporter: well, the city officially estimates as many as 33,000 people showed up tonight. meanwhile clinton did take some jabs at her political opponent but for the most part she tried to stay optimistic. the race tightens throughout the state of pennsylvania in the last few weeks or so, this is a battleground state certainly in play for either candidate at this point. but we can tell you this is traditionally a blue state as you may know already. it has been voting republican since 1988 and hillary clinton wants to make sure it stays

democratic tomorrow. along independence mall, natasha brown, cbs3 eye with it niece news. >> tonight's rally offered a once in a lifetime chance for the thousands of people who lined up for hours to get inside. joe holden is live in old city with more on the lines that stretched for blocks. joe? >> reporter: jess, we were in good company along with several thousands who trekked through philadelphia to get through the gate to get through security to have some showed up at security to find this really long line so it amounted to a 3-mile round trip to get all the way to the end of that line. the line was nearly 2 miles long. >> we walked a really long way. >> reporter: thousands of people waited, creeping along. >> it's like two miles. >> reporter: some planned it. >> we're really psyched to be here for this fantastic event. >> reporter: others say the opportunity to see the

president, hillary and bill clinton and some "a" list musical act was a spontaneous decision. people pulled out the durable footwear for the trek up and down south philly street. this guy even remembered the chairs. people described the event historic. >> we had a chance to see three potential presidents at one time, to see obama speak last time potentially that he's in office. >> do you expect to be able to get it. >> absolutely. >> others conceding if they don't make it in, it was all still worth it. >> amazing. absolutely incredible. great energy. >> i think it's great. it's great to see so much enthusiasm. >> reporter: and there were also some donald trump supporters in the area. just a friendly exchanges with hillary clinton supporters, everything very civil. >> joe, thanks so much. gop nominee donald trump is on a last minute blitz to turn out as

many of his voters as possible. by the time this day is dpin ishd, trump will have made 5 stops. so far he's been to florida, north carolina, pennsylvania, and new hampshire. he has one more to go in grand rapids, michigan and he is about to take the stage there. this is new video tonight of trump rallying with supporters in new hampshire. that state has only 4 electoral votes but it's a key battleground and one that could push trump over the mark. trump told a packed house that clinton is corrupt. >> the polls just came out we're leading in michigan. [ cheers ] we're leading in new hampshire. we're leading in ohio, we're leading in iowa. we're leading in north carolina [ cheers ] i think we're doing really, really well in pennsylvania. and i do believe we are leading

the eye of the beholder. >> every day we get to come in and work these matters and try to get this stuff back for people to see. >> reporter: special agent jake archer is based in philadelphia he and his partner work to make it their business to find stolen treasures. >> it could be artwork, it could be antique guns. you think we're using in revolutionary war. both special agents took us to a nondescript cinderblock building in the tri-state area. behind the door a collection that belongs to a european collection. >> we don't know what's going to come in today, tomorrow or next week. >> reporter: we can't even show you the paintings because of the current investigation but can tell you six of these paintings were recently found in the philadelphia area. the agents won't even say how much the paintings are worth but we know they were stolen in

1988. >> these pieces are incredibly difficult to track. >> reporter: but with the help of the evidence response team, the art crime unit in philadelphia covers the eastern half the pennsylvania. the team's reach is international, recovering millions of dollars of art over the years. they are just one of a few specialists in the entire fbi. they work together with a 16-member national team based in washington, d.c. the team's holy gral a painting by rembrandt. the painting and 12 other pieces were stolen at a boston museum in 1990. the fbi believes that at one point one or more of the pieces moved through the philadelphia area. decades later and these men are optimistic the art pieces will return to a museum where they belong. >> even though it's 26 years gone by now, this case is still making headlines because it's cultural property. there aren't many rembrandts out there. >> in philadelphia, david spunt,

scan 3. keeping us protected from any wet weather that's trying to move in, at least for tomorrow. but eventually this system back to the west, you can see it producing a couple of showers over portions of illinois down into missouri and heavier rain into portions of mississippi and louisiana. that is eventually going to head east as a cold front and come through our region early on wednesday. we'll time that out in just a moment. in the meantime let's talk about the cold. it's down to 36 already in allentown right now. it's 31 in millville, 36 in wildwood and 34234 atlantic city. what it means is those areas that aren't in a frost advisory have likely already seen frost and don't need a frost advisory anymore. this will be the first frost in a lot of locations. when you cake up tomorrow 40 in philly. cold enough for some frost there

and at or below freezing in the far north and west suburbs. it's a quick warm-up for your election day, 66 degrees and you'll see a good deal of sunshine. no clouds moving in but tomorrow night at this time clouds start to arrive. and wednesday morning we will see some showers approach. it looks like the steadiest will be between 9 and 11:00 a.m. light showers and the good news it's out of here quickly and by wednesday afternoon skies will clear and we may even see the sun return in time for the early sunset. overnight 40 degrees clear skies, tomorrow is beautiful for election day. 66 and mostly sunny, nice warm day. a little cooler on wednesday, the sun returns thursday, a little bit of a roller coaster, back to 60 for veterans day friday but saturday, blustery and cold highs only in the 40s. and saturday night might be the coldest night in the city this season. so get ready. it's going to be a cold start to your weekend. >> don's up next with sports.
